Happy Thursday!

Zenyatta and her Tapit colt have new paddock mates at Lane’s End. Alys snapped the first photo of the group, and we’ll post some more once the little ones get to know each other.

We have an video interview to share today. Dr. Holder, who was present at the April 1st foaling, met up with us at Lane’s End the following day to talk about Zenyatta. You’ll also see a sneak peak of our footage from the night of the foaling—there’s more of that to come along with our next round of video interviews!

    Orb and racehorses, glide increase and glide decrease speed, keep enough distance to forward and back horse, don’t cross the way of left or right horse if it is no enough distance between legs of horses, not do this move near fence, i worry about you and horses behind……..racehorses, when weather is hot, be careful with amount of breeze and care of carefull cooling of horse body, tall dark bay beautyfull Zenny, lil red 13z, Cozmic one kiss you love you, walk on air

    dear sue noel thanks so much for the further adventures of Barnaby we have another Karen Thompson right here on our blog you should really think of writing a book you have such a wonderful way with words!! so glad Barnaby enjoyed his soft bed don’t we all love a bit of comfort he reminded me a bit of myself first thing in the morning except for the straw!!
    am sure sue will have a great holiday in the Cotswolds such a beautiful part of the world sorry cant promise her good weathermay is turning out to be another miserable month but when you’re with horses who needs good weather!!big kiss from me for Barnaby not forgetting traveller too love and hugs sheenaX

      and their dams are? It just irks me that they say they are only half siblings if they have the same dam, well why are the sires listed and not the dams then? Apparently they are barely related to their sire! Equality for dams I say! : ) Just try that when the offspring of Zenyatta, Rachel, Blind Luck, Switch, Winter Memories, Harve d’ Grace, Royal Delta ( just to name a few of the fabulous fillies who have become broodmares in the last few years) start running. ok, i’m off my soap box now. Regardless, I still appreciate the post Keta, I was way behind the times on whose in the Preakness.

      I think that Itsmyluckyday will run a much improved race in the Preakness. Churchill Downs is a quirky track that not all horses can handle. Snow Chief is a prime example.

        Marshall – I haven’t read those books, either. From the reviews I’ve read about them, they sound like, um, porn. A little bit of steamy here and there is one thing, but an entire book?

        But I still think the horse’s name is too cute. What do you suppose they call her for short, Hay, You? LOL!

      I really enjoyed his article of history. We can go way back into pedigree but the heart of the horse evidentually tells his/her story. Malibu Moon is very important to me. What Orb has from his breeding will continue to thrill the racing crowd. I wish for him the safest passage to become no 1 in the Preakness!!! Thank you for this story.

    dear max I hadn’t thought much about the lockinge until I saw your post am still suffering from frankel withdrawal symtoms the lockinge was his 1st outing last year sir henry certainly has a way with the fillies both 2 legged and four legged!! I had brough scotts book about sir henry as a birthday gift he’s led a very colourful life he seems betternow although his voice is still a whisper heard hot snap has been withdrawn from the oaks York starts tomorrow hope the weather is better is like a winter’s evening over here wet cold and windy what’s your choice for the Preakness? hugs sheena

      She was scheduled to be bred to Giant’s Causeway this year. I’m not sure if she has yet but according to Paulick Report that is the plan.

    @Peggy N….bloodhorse posted magna fortuna’s race last week…so I would guess they would post margano’s too….I found MF’s by clicking link at bottom of the section for races….they usually just list all the stakes…but looks like they include others too as the MF race was an allowance….does this help?

    I need to make this brief but I have talked to Mark Glore, Judy’s husband, today about her passing and plans for her services and a celebration of life. They hadn’t set aside anything for this. All donations have always gone to the care of the horses at HEART of Tucson.

    Now, a friend of HEART has set up an account at Wells Fargo for donations to the Judy Glore Memorial. The account number is: 8197304929. Please spread the word through FB and Twitter and any horse forums you belong to.

    As funeral arrangements are set and plans are finalized for her celebration of life, I will get the word out. Mark said Judy wanted everyone to be welcome. Open arms and open HEART – typical of this great lady.

    I need advice; I was on another site, and paid a small membership to see some mares having babies, and some stallions in their stalls, and a few other things, including interaction with members. Some were nice, but a few, that were more vocal were not. They talked among themselves, and ignored me a lot, but sometimes if I made a observation, or asked a question, these 2 or 3, would read something into what I was saying, and even when I tried to explain, they would either reply back like I still was saying something wrong, or just ignore me until the next time. I was going to leave once, but some said not to, but it finally became to much; I made one last posting, and said I wouldn’t post anymore. I received an email through my regular email. It was from one of the worse offenders, and she went off on me; if somebody had read my postings and what she was accusing me of, they couldn’t believe it; in fact she said she couldn’t say those things on the site, but because I was leaving, she could say it to me via email. She also said I was lying, because I was still on the site, it shows I’m active, because I just paid the money a month ago, and I like watching the horses. I am so upset, I feel tense even going to the site, because now I know I can’t even just watch the horses, because they know I’m there. The other problem, I asked her not to email me again, but it makes me even tense going to my email. The only two sites that I have joined that are interactive with others, are this site and the one I’m talking about. I am 71 years old, and just love horses:; I don’t know what to do. Should I just not go back to that site anymore, and just loose the money as an education or what? Does anyone know how I can keep her from sending me emails? I hate the thought of allowing her to drive me out of the site, she already asked why I was still on the site. It is so wonderful on this site, it took me by complete surprise, having these people being this way. If anyone knows what I can do about these two problems, I would appreciate any advice, THANK-YOU SO MUCH!

    I just went to see if there was a reply to my response to the person’s email, and was surprised to get an apology, and to just forget. From now on, if I have any questions, it will be to the experts, that way I think it will help. Thank-you all!!

      Dear Roberta, I’m happy for you if your problem is already resolved. If you do want to block e-mails from someone, I’m sure it can be done. I’ll try to find out how, but maybe someone else can explain how to do it. It would be good knowledge to have in case of future need. Hugz and love in Dumplinghood, Trina

        Roberta & Trina, this would depend on what email service you use. Some have spam-filters that you can control, to automatically route unwanted email to your “junk” folder & delete it. I have that at work.

        But at home, my service says that while I can’t block specific addresses, I can “set up a filter to send those unwanted messages directly to Trash”. I have to search my email for the offending address, and then at the bottom of the Search window, click on “Create filter with this search”, and “Choose the action you’d like”, for example, “Delete it”, and then click “Create Filter” to complete it. But your email software may have a somewhat different method of doing this, if it has the feature.

        Good luck. I hope the apology you received was sincere, and complete, so that this person will stop abusing you, as it sounds like they were doing.
