We’re still waiting! It’s day seventeen of foal watch, and it could happen any day now. In the meantime here are some more photos from our time here at Lane’s End.
Thanks again for more wonderful photos of our Queen Z and lovely Mrs. Moss! Kyle, you just get better and better with that camera — thank you.
Sweet Dreams, dear Z. I, too, hope you deliver soon (tonight?). May you have an easy, uncomplicated birthing and a happy, health foal. Godspeed, sweet girl!
After this baby , take her home Ann to be with U guys !! She loves U and she is older now so enjoy her !! No more baby’s really ! The Queen need some fun now and just be the queen !! We miss her here in California!!! Home of the Z we love !
I wish Zenyatta all the best with her delivery. We all want a healthy foal, but I’m a little on the selfish side, and I am hoping for a filly. I really don’t know Jerry and Ann Moss, other than from what I see on TV and this website, but I must say, they seem like genuine people who truly love their horses, especially Zenyatta. I understand it is a big responsibility and it could be a lot of work, but Zenyatta really wants to be around these two very special human beings. Once Zenyatta is done being a broodmare, I envision her moving back to be near her owners. I know from the pictures that this is where Zenyatta truly belongs. If there ever was a mare that could give birth to a foal who wins the Triple Crown, it is this mare. I hope they give serious consideration to Uncle Mo and American Pharoah. For now, let’s hope for a safe delivery and a healthy foal. God bless all of you!
The banana thing cracks me up!! I had one mare who was hard to preg-check BUT she had an affinity for bananas when she is in foal. She won’t touch them when she’s not but when she IS…. watch out!! She could eat them by the tree full! LOL!!! Sending much love and light to everyone ~ hopefully we have a new little addition in the next day or two!
Thank you for these gorgeous photos. Love Zenny so much. Thank you, Anne, and to all for sharing her with us. Hope she has her baby tonight. I’m checking multiple times each day for news that the baby has come. Goodnight all.
Dear Ann you and Zenyatta look so beautiful together. I love seeing how much Zenyatta loves you and how much you love her. We r all waiting for our new baby to be born. My prayers are with Zenyatta and Ann, Jerry and team Z that eveything will be ok. Wished I could be there and spend time with Zenyatta. I lover her very much.
Thank you for sharing her with us. Hugs and kisses to our special Zenyatta.
Dear Z, for some reason I am wide awake at 12:35am…after dinner and martini’s!! Are you going to foal this morning? Think I might watch a show on TV and check in a bit later. Will watch The Grand National later this morning, I hope TVG is showing otherwise maybe Chanel 4 UK? BE SAFE TO ALL!
From the BloodHorse article that said Zenyatta’s connections confirmed that she was 36 days in foal around May 27th, she must be about 352 days along. Due to the length of time, sure seems like it should be a colt, though I wouldn’t mind a filly. From the beautiful pictures, seems like you are having a great time visiting with Ann. Still pacing, but I don’t mind it a bit as long as you are enjoying your time with family.
Thanks so much for sharing these special “Zenyatta moments” with all of us. So many beautiful pics — she will surely miss Mr. and Mrs. Moss when they return to their home in California. Like the rest of you, I am pacing and waiting and hoping for a safe deiivery for Zenyatta and a beautiful foal for her to nurture and love.
Thank you sincerely for sharing the rich and wonderful connection and love between precious Zenyatta and Anne Moss. Zenny is absolutely your girl, in every way. We admire your deep love for each other.
Maybe tonite Zenny, you look ready from afar, don’t know if your waxing yet but stay as comfortable as you can nibbling your hay. This little one will be here soon. God Bless you and your little angel. Good rest…!!!❤

Forgiving sets us free. This does not mean approving of what we have forgiven. But forgiveness means walking away as free as the wind. Cut the tie that binds. we cannot hold someone else’s feet to the fire without burning our own fingers. We must forgive others and put their wrongdoing behind us. That is the first step toward healing.

That photo of Ann’s face in a reverent moment, Zenyatta’s joining her, head bowed, as if Z is telling her, ” Good morning, I love you.”
