Dear fans,
We are so touched by the flowers and notes left at Zenyatta’s statue during the Breeders’ Cup. The strength and compassion shown by this community never ceases to amaze us.
The 2014 Zenyatta.com Celebration was a huge success, and we can’t wait to share the final results. Auction winners have been notified, and we will be drawing our grand prize and bonus gift bag winners shortly. All winners will be notified tonight. Check your email!
Thank you all so much for taking part this year!

@those concerned about the bullies– We don’t let it get to us. We have gone through worse before! We just keep loving each other, and though we all know it is Zenny who brought us together, we also realize that “just another horse blog” would get tiresome pretty soon. We’re here for each other, and if anyone doesn’t like it, he/she can find another blog. I think that’s what makes us different. We are truly a Z-family.
On that note–I agree with carol in Arkansas, when she said
PUVamp
TC, where are you?
@Hovis–you make us look forward to hearing from you every week.
Happy weekend to all.

Faithful Z Supporter
As someone who’s had the pleasure of visiting here for many years, I’ve quietly observed the “power struggles” that seem to take place. Our sweet Dottie was Z’s voice at the start keeping us up to date on all things Queen related. As time went on, some visitors began to include other topics not always relating to Zenny but at least about the horse industry to be pertinent. Then others heard about the site and joined in, forged relationships with one another like a family sharing personal details which sort of excluded the rest of us. Sometimes, I think people came here to simply visit and catch up on one another’s lives like they would in a letter, text or phone conversation. Someone would eventually say something and be told to go elsewhere if they didn’t like it. This site needs to be free of anyone pushing their own personal agenda, religion or beliefs out of respect for others. Please people let’s remain kind and patient to all who come here and most of all accepting as Zenyatta was and still is. Don’t be angry at my words just think consider them.

Kathy,
I am a fan of the Cherokee Devotionals, too. They are one of the highlights of my day. Please don’t let the bullies deter you from posting them!
I want to send prayers & healing thoughts for all of us who are mourning Z Princess, especially Team Z and the Lanes End staff who cared for her since her birth. We will each heal in our own time and the bond of love we share for her will help us someday think of her not with pain, but the joy she gave us while she was here. She will always be in our hearts and will greet us with a happy nicker when it is our time to join her.
Judy B,
I am hoping that you see Dubai this weekend and are able to report that he is feeling even better. Please give him a hug from “Aunt Donna” in NY. I am going to search this old brain of mine & try to remember my recipe for warm bran mash for the winter. The horses I made it for over the years when my Pride was alive would go crazy as I was trying to dump it from the bucket I made it in to their feed bins. I used to mix it up once a week for Pride & my friends’ horses.
My prayers also go out to all of the people & animals on this blog who need them for illness or whatever reason & prayers that everyone else stays healthy. I do not know any of you except through the blog and I want the best for all of you.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Donna:
I saw Dubai on Thursday afternoon and I’m going back on Sunday. The pain med is working and he is so much more comfortable than he was a week ago. He is getting soaks and bandaged on both front feet twice a day and is standing up most of the time and alert to what is going on in the barn. He wants to go outside, so Angela lets him hand graze a couple of times a day. Thank you for your prayers and kind concern for him. Will definitely give him a hug and kiss from his Aunt Donna in NY. I love the name Pride. Beautiful. Love and Hugs, JB

November 8 Cherokee Devotional
Looking back can create guilt where none should ever exist. No doubt, everyone has things they wish they had not done-but in most cases, we did what we could at the moment. Chances are that if we are spending time in regret, we are not giving ourselves to what we are supposed to be doing at the present time. It would be a shame to waste any more time on what we couldn’t do in the past- and probably couldn’t today. We all have something in common, The present time. From here on, we can look forward. We can still do something about our lives and stop trying to hold back, or a da yo s da ne di, hinder the good work we can do right now.
There cannot be two occupations in the same place. The first excludes all others.

Dear Kathy.Another great devotional!Thank you, guys, for all your support. It’s hard for me to think that a few find these harmless posts offensive!!!
Fubu had to visit his doc yesterday,am worried there’s no message up yet.He looked lovely in his red coat.Wow,Zoe’s got II,000!And all those gifts from Mango they’ll be on the ibone all day! Then I saw all Mango’s gifts!!!Even a bag for her mommy.Such a sad story about Trey how on earth did that happen oh his poor leg!!Marty was certainly busy with his internashunal bizness papers pity all the world’s bankers didn’t learn from him.We have a mixed meeting here today the flat awards being handed out at Doncaster. The weather is dreadful horses so exhausted they are walking across the line.It has dried up a little in Wales!Have a great Saturday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.

Dear Max.Thinking of you and missing you.Moose;s twitter followers continue to grow!Take care.Hugs Sheena.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I’m still here…the “Ayes” far outweighed the “Nays.” Nice to read so many supportive posts. Thank you to all. Poor Fubu. Hope he’s okay. Surprising he has survived so long. Such a sick kitty. Zoe’s numbers seem to be increasing at a much more rapid rate now. Both Zoe and Mango sure get a lot of gifts. Your heart goes out to poor Trey. Sad story, indeed. Very cute shot of Marty sleeping. So sorry for the exhausted horses at Doncaster. Hopefully they can have a well-deserved rest now. I work today. Have a great Saturday and enjoy your weekend. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

Remembrance day is always the most moving anniversary in our national calendar and it takes on even greater significance this centenary year of World War I.Her Majesty ,Prime Minister David Cameron will lead the nation at the cenotaph tomorrow. We will pay tribute to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.Ordinary men and women became extraordinary.I never forgrt thr millions of horses who, through no fault of their own, lost their lives. These are the unspeakable tragedies in our lives and we must NEVER forget.
The Ceramic Poppy display at The Tower Of London has exided all expectations. Each poppy represents a British and Colonial life lost in the Great War.”Blood swept lands and Seas of Red”We must always renember these men and women gave their lives for our freedom.Modern conflict is different, your enemy can be in your street, your neighbour hood.I feel so sad we cannot learn by our mostakes.LEST WE FORGET.Sheena.
They shall not grow old,
as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
or the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning we will remember them.
For the horses.
They have given their lives in our service
As much as our brave men-even more
Rightly we honour our soldiers as heroes
How can their horses,we ignore
So it’s our duty to never forget them
Nor the endless lives they gave
So weep for all our fallen heroes
And a tear for the horses please save.
SallyB.(AuntiecherishesZandheryoung)
Thanks Sheena, so true!!

Dear Sheena,
Beautiful! The poppies are so amazing — lest we forget all those whose lives were lost or drastically changed — human, equine and canine. ” In Flanders Fields the poppies grow…” Always remember.

Any news on how, The Red Prince, Ziconic is doing in Florida? He left over a month ago. Hope he is doing well and learning all of his lessons.
SallyB.(AuntiecherishesZandheryoung)
Thinking of all of you. I could tell you of my upsetting evening out by the horse sanctuary. Horses are fine, it was the other things, like attempting to hook up a hose and running it across the paddock, where the horses did not like it, and clamping it on the trough so I could run back and turn it on; run to the trough to see how it was filling; Frito almost stumbled over the hose with his hind foot etc. This was a new hook up that CC maintainence created for us, but ended 30 ft from the trough!! I appreciate their efforts, but really!? I won’t go on.
hugs, Sally B
