On Friday, August 12, Zenyatta was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Team Z attended the ceremony at the Fasig-Tipton sales pavilion, and owners Jerry and Ann Moss accepted the award on Zenyatta’s behalf.
We toured the museum and met a number of fans who were in town for the festivities. Fans watched the ceremony live from our “Belles of the Hall” viewing party that was complete with mini horse versions of Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra. View the “Belles of the Hall” recap here.
Scroll down for our photos from the event.

Holy Moly, what a finish in the Spinaway at the Spa. Pretty City Dancer was amazing as was Sweet Loretta. Dead Heat! Will post the replay as soon as it’s available. There was a Steward’s inquiry, but no change.
Very humid at the Spa; horses are coming back very sweaty. They are being cooled with a refreshing spray of water. Love and Hugs, JB

I know one reason why you love SG. He’s from the Deputy Minister line. That is a very good family.

Sheena, Thanks for the up date in tennis. Watched Nadal yesterday as he has come back from injuries. These are really great athletes as our wonderful thoroughbreds are in racing.
Not much is ever spoken of Martina Navratilova. She covered all aspects of the court when other women were basically base line competition. I think she was a tremendous player. The Williams sisters have dominated tennis for a long time and I am very happy for Serena. She still plays awesome. It is hard to stay on top when every one wants your spot.

His first race was on the turf. He did not do well. That may however have been the result of inexperience. He was much more focussed in the second race with the young O’Brien. He’s a very big colt like his sister Zenyatta, the largest horse that Ballydoyle has ever trained. It takes time.

Maybe Ms Blue is spending the winter in Wales to get a head start for next year? The rivers don’t freeze over? She could bag some fish. The main reason that the bald eagles head south from Alaska is to escape freeze ups of their fishing areas.
sheena.davies(wales)
I happened to mention that on their FB She may have heard they are removing her nest and could stage a protest!Myself I think she’s waiting for an improvement in the weather warm days are expected this week. It’s a long time since our rivers froze in Wales but I doubt they could put up with the shorter days of winter in the UK.She looks so lonely now.
Max
People remove the nests? I doubt anyone would touch a bald eagle nest, usually too high up in the trees. The eagles do all of the building themselves and they don’t take it well if anyone tries to tamper with their construction work.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
Sounds like the Eagles have had lessons from Big D on doing things their way. Love and Hugs, JB
