Thanks for sharing this incredible story of these beautiful twin Chestnut boys. Wishing them Godspeed; safe and sound. So good to know there’s already plans to find them good homes when their racing days are over. Love and Hugs, JB
Wow! Cozmic One is looking so handsome and so assured in his new job. Besides Coz, here’s hoping Ziconic well. I saw that Victor was fined for using too much whip. “He deserves it and then some. Finally, here’s hoping that perhaps we get a name for Z17 in the near future and that Z 18 gets here safe and sound. Loved the story of they twins. Here’s wishing them Good Luck in the their training and on to their racing. What’s really spooky, my spouse who doesn’t know a lot about horses was asking me just last night about the possibility of a mare having twins. I told him it can happen but its very rare. Congrats to the mom and dad of these beautiful foals.
Hi Zenny!

Dear Team Z, Z Dumplings, and Zenny Fans:
I’m heartbroken to post that my dear friend – one of the original Z Dumplings – Karen Gogue passed away early this morning from a stroke. It was sudden.
I was going to talk to her today about our meeting at Santa Anita for our Derby when I got the devastating news from one if her daughters.
Karen hadn’t posted on the blog for a while due to a glitch with her email and/or moniker. She was stubborn ? and didn’t want to make the necessary changes.
Please keep Karen and her family (she leaves behind a mentally challenged daughter) in your prayers. Thank you. I’m going to miss my side kick and dear friend.
So very sorry for the sudden loss of one of our wonderful CA Dumplings. Prayers for Karen, her family and for you, her beloved friend. Rest In Peace. Love and Hugs, JB
I have so many fond and special memories of our dear Karen. I will never forget the wonderful and sincere hug she gave me when we met for the very first time. It was as if we had known each other forever, when in fact we had never met and only knew each other from Zenny’s blog. Also, all those precious Dumpling group photos at Zenny’s statue. Oh no. I am so sorry to see this news. I never met her but remember her postings from way back when this blog was new. Thank you for letting us know. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
I was shocked and saddened to hear the news about Karen, as she just didn’t seem old enough, to be leaving us all. I fondly remember our visit she organized to Barn 55 at Hollywood Park, where we saw Z’s stall, and met Steve, and Carmen, and also Lava Man, and when an injury threatened to cut short my tour, Karen personally helped include me to continue with everyone else. That was just very kind, and made the whole event for me, a success. I will never forget that. I’m sorry for all the sadness the loss of her brings, especially to her family, and all her friends.

So sad. Am sending prayers to Karen’s family, you and close friends. Although we never met in person, her smile in photos always made the day brighter. Such a lovely lady. Rest In Peace.
This is such sad news. As Darlene and Vicki have said above, Karen was always so welcoming and helpful to the “out-of-town” crowd and the “not regular attendees” when we attended Breeder’s Cup events at Santa Anita. She really made the way for us to do some exciting things which many of us will never forget. Her videos were simply amazing – it was like going along with her to so many races, and they always provided glimpses of the horses in the paddock and the saddling enclosures as well as in the winner’s circle. Sincere sympathy to her family and her close Dumpling friends in California and to all of us. She will be greatly missed.
Sending condolences and much love to Karen’s family. Prayers for comfort to you, too, JAG and to all who knew and loved KG. I am so sorry.
Rest in Peace, dear Karen.
Dear A J, so very sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. I will keep her family in my prayers. Have sure missed her posting on here also.
