This is just tragic news — devastating for all concerned. I was an instant fan after reading about Wild on Ice and his connections. RIP beautiful boy.
Condolences to all his connections whose hopes for him were dashed and whose hearts are broken.
In the 5th race at Aqueduct today (a claiming race), 7 year old Perceived with Trevor M. onboard finished 4th and suffered an injury to his right foreleg after crossing the finish. Trevor pulled him up, but the injury was so bad that he was euthanized on the track. Perceived was a bay gelding sired by Blame out of Street Trick(Street Sense). RIP Perceived, so very sad.
Condolences to all connections. Life is fragile and so unpredictable. :-(

I was very happy to hear that Skinner had made it into the Derby. It wasn’t until much later I heard why,and was very saddened to hear we had lost Wild on Ice. I wasn’t familiar with Perceived but I still felt more sadness for him also. Perhaps it won’t be long before we hear that Zenny and Zelda are mom’s and that will help us through this sadness. Hope everyone has as good a night as possible after such a sad day.

I just this moment heard this sad news on FS2- America’s Day at the Races.
One never knows what life will bring. This is so heartbreaking — Havre de Grace was such a champion and truly beautiful. I gather from what Accacia said that HdG died during delivery of her foal. I think she said the foal would go to a nurse mare. Condolences to Mandy Pope and all those who loved and cared for this mare. RIP Havre De Grace, so sorry sweet girl.

OMG I just read online that 4 horses have died at Churchill Downs in 6 days. 2 of them were not caused by breakdowns according to reporting. Also, Practical Movee has been scratched due to a high temperature. Cyclone Mischief has now been entered to take P. M. place. Besides, I’m also rooting for Mauro Cedillo. YIKES what the heck is going on????
