Dear Kathy.I had to laugh at the Dyfi’s April fool yesterday! They posted a pic of the 2 ravens last night to prove they were still.”at home”.The new female is settling in well at the loch of Lowes but I certainly haven’t given up hope of Lady returning. The Rutland female is nearly home! She crossed the channel yesterday lunchtime and was in Cambridge last night.Sadly, she lost her partner 2 seasons ago and did mate with a new male last year but he left her for “another woman” and she had to abandon her eggs!Better luck this year.Mango is having a nap Judy is busy this morning.Loved all the doggies doing their zoomies!Gosh, Blue is growing so quickly but I think he knows who is boss in their home!Loki’s sister was fine mama had to chase her all around the house so she could take her to the vet he said she may be stressed out by Loki’s illness poor mama has aged 10yrs and according to Loki was old anyway!!I loved your post on Zoe about libraries.I loved reading as a child still do and I have a library card!CC must be wandering where his Calif temps have disappeared to but at least it’s dry!!!Have a wonderful Friday eve.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.Miss Kitty looks better and has been outside!
It’s good to know they have good humor over at the Dyfi! Still anxiously awaiting the ospreys’ return. Mango and the family are so harmonious together. Wonderful to see. Blue is getting very big. And have you been watching Dexter over on My Pom pals? Another BIG BOY! Glad to hear Loki’s sister is okay. The furbabies are so in tune with what is going on with their siblings. I’m glad you have your library card! I hope CC is settling in and is happy. Happy Friday Eve and take care. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.
Dear Zenyatta,
I hope your birthday wishes were granted, as well as, Ziconic’s wishes. You are such a Blessing. You are my ray of sunshine. You bring me peace and tranquility whenever I come to your website. You are my lunch hour escapism on my hectic work days. On days when I, absolutlely, cannot clock into our Z-family posts I feel my day is not complete. But I am here now and at peace. Hope you and the entire Z-nation have a wonderful day. We have so much to look forward to with Coz & Zi. You are all in my prayers.
You are such a grand lady and queen. I hope you had a wonderful celebration yesterday. I am sure Mike Smith sent you birthday wishes and loves you and misses riding you very much.

Glad you were able to get out. When I had hip surgery the thing the really bugged me was being stuck at home during recovery. Take care of yourself and safe trip to Rivers. So glad I found out about this wonderful horse and the every exciting Beast on this Blog. Safe trip to AF also.
Carol,
I’m happy to hear the progress of your recovery. I was really happy to be able get out of the house the 1st time & do something on my own, too.
Good luck to Rivers on Saturday!

Oh my! Having to escape “tractors of terror” without revving his engine! What next? Don’t miss the Hovis movie on his FB page. Too cute! Thanks Sheena!
Good morning, sweet Momma. Went over to see all of your races again yesterday. You are amazing, Zenny! Will always love watching them. What a celebration you had for your birthday! Such a wonderful group of people who love you, Z. Can’t wait to see Coz and Ziconic run! Hope you and everyone in your family have a blessed day.

PS loved all of the posts everyone here in Zenyatta’s fan family. Thanks so much for sharing your stories. Sure wish we could all meet some day and have a big Z party!
Is there anyone from New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Utah (or any other place – including you Sheena in Wales and our Canadian Z fans) that would like to all meet this summer or early fall – maybe at Ruidoso Downs or Zia Racetrack or even at a restaurant somewhere in New Mexico? We could have a southwest Zenyatta celebration and all get to meet! If you are, please post ideas, dates you’re available, places etc. Hope everyone has a blessed Friday – especially you, Zenny! with love Elizabeth
Sound like fun Elizabeth, but I’m afraid that I’m too far away. Thought of you when I was in Phoenix a couple of weeks ago. New Mexico seemed “close” (but then nothing in Phoenix was “close” to anywhere else in Phoenix!). Hope there are some peeps who can do it.
Sandy, Thanks for posting. Would be so nice if we could all meet together some day. Zenny seems to have done so much for all us. Hope you have a wonderful week. w love, Elizabeeth
A walk in the silent woods is not silent at all. Stand still and listen. The thump of a downy woodpecker on a hollow log, the tiny hooves of a deer scooting through last season’s leaves, and best of all, the soft rumble of thunder and the spatter of drops on the broad leaf of the hickory.
These are remedies for a weary soul and tranquil moments for a tired body. Who knows, if we stand still and listen-we may hear an angel’s wings.

Wow! That could have some real implications on the Derby picture since several of the Derby horses, Carpe Diem included, are looking for points in the Blue Grass.
Yikes!! Hope all of our KY friends are OK! Wonder if the Keeneland peeps are sorry that they gave up the all weather surface? Also wonder how this might impact the races – especially the Blue Grass?

A little rain doesn’t dampen the fun at Keeneland!
Gates open at 11 a.m.; first post time is 1:05 p.m.
The rain is predicted to taper off, then stop late tonight. The prediction for tomorrow is sun all day. The new track supposedly has a state-of-the-art drainage system. It will be put to the test! Frankly, I expect the track to be fast by tomorrow late afternoon. I think the turf track will be the bigger concern.
It will be on the chilly side, though. It’s always interesting to see the college gals in their cute little sun dresses, shivering and turning blue. They plan their outfits for weeks if not months, and they always wear them no matter what the weather. It does give the young men an opportunity to be gallant and give up their jackets, though. Some do and some don’t.
LauraJ
Some of the most uncomfortable April days I can remember were at Keeneland during the Spring meet. It can get really cold but that is a good excuse to have some Kentucky Bourbon and more burgoo.
The latest picture on Zenny’s FB page shows Ann giving our Queen a Guiness. If she was bred already would she be drinking one? The picture is great…Ann and Zenny together make for a beautiful picture anytime.
Safe trip to Carpe Diem, American Pharoah, Dortmond, Beastie, Rivers and all the other horses. Hope the weather is decent for them. One of the last chances to earn Derby points.
Gotta say it! Since Zenyatta and both boys are Kentuckians, they must be Wildcat fans!
Dear Kathy.A blessed Good Friday to you too!Loved the cards especially those cute kittens my first love will always be cats!!Your devotional reminded me of a poem my mum loved”what is this life if full of care,we have no time to stand and stare”We lead such busy lives these days we should all take a few moments out of each day just to be silent. No Ospreys yet but Beatrice has finally arrived in the UK via the Isle of Wight. She’s in Hampshire at the moment and the Rutland female arrived back yesterday. She may even take over Manton Bay nest if Maya doesn’t return. We have some racing today Dame Judi Dench is at Lingfield.Rae installed some infra-red lamps in CC’s stall to help him adjust to our lower temps! He’s only got one neighbour at the moment Mirza who is just back from Dubai too.Gosh,Miss Kitty’s momma is in a state Miiko was rushed to ER with an urinary blockage(always a problem with tomcats) there was a moment when she thought he would have to be put to sleep.A friend Denise paid the bill. He’s on several meds now and will have to have to be on a special diet the rest of his life.Gosh, she’s had some problems lately. He will still have to be checked for kidney stones.Mango had a great time with her visitors yesterday lovely weather there! and a coyote attacked 2 of her friends!I posted a Hovis video on your FB!Thompson films.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
