Dear Z, Z-family and Z-friends,
Hope everyone is well and staying warm and dry. North Carolina is very soggy today; at least the Piedmont region is having quite the rainy spell this week. Parts of the state were somewhat dry so this helps; although, it is very gloomy and raw.
I hope our Z is enjoying herself along with her buddies on this 12th day of February, Abraham Lincoln’s birthday — Happy Birthday, Mr. Lincoln. Our country could use your guidance and wisdom, more than ever.
This year President’s Day falls exactly midway between Lincoln’s birthday and Washington’s birthday on the 22nd. Please remember these men and all those who strived to make this country strong, decent, brave and compassionate. They believed in the Constitution and the brotherhood of man (humanity). Happy Birthday, Mr. Washington. You chose democracy as did the Founders.
