To our dear friends and their families, we want to take this opportunity to wish you a very special holiday. Thanksgiving is such a beautiful time to reflect upon our lives and the gratitude we feel for the blessings we have been given. It is also a time to share memories and experiences with our family and friends and to reminisce about the countless happy moments and joyful times shared by all. In the spirit of this holiday, we thought it would be fun to share a Zenyatta Family update with you.
We are elated to report each member of the Z Family is doing very well. Zenny and her daughters, Zellda and Zilkha, are enjoying life at Lane’s End Farm. Zellda is in foal to Practical Joke and Zilkha will be a maiden mare next year. Dear Zenyatta is truly enjoying her life: eating her favorite snacks and relaxing in her paddock sharing the days with her ‘girlfriends’ at the farm. She is as engaging as ever and cherishes the times when visitors are there to see her. We must say, Z still adores her Guinness! It is truly her drink of choice.
JUST SAYIN… Zellda’s adorable Justify colt… is growing up and is very independent romping about the paddock each day with his pals. So hard to believe how quickly the time is flying by. He is quite a handsome lad and has a spirited personality. He’s all boy!
Our Dear Coz, Cozmic One, is loving his life at Old Friends. His new role is to be the “OFFICIAL GREETER” to the visitors as they enter the Farm. We hear Coz is loving the attention and the joy he is receiving from the fans. The guests, in turn, are sharing so many fun moments and treats with him. Coz’s favorite snack, small carrots, which he loves to gently nibble as he tickles a fan’s hand to munch on the treat. How cute is this!
The 2 Z Family Yearlings, Nymue and Shuggy, arrived at Mayberry Farm in mid-October and are enjoying their time in Ocala. Both horses settled in nicely and are currently busy learning their initial lessons in the training process. From all reports, both are very good students and love their jobs! Thumbs up… for sure. They are TOO CUTE!

Nymue is truly Zenny’s mini-me. Hopefully she can carry a piece of her mom’s talent on to the track.
To the admins- the pictures of the chestnut at the top of this post are labeled Zellda, but I believe she’s bay? Are they pictures of Zilkha? Or is Zellda’s Justify colt a chestnut?

Thank you for the update on the Zenyatta family. Finally made it to see her last month and it was a beautiful visit. She is majestic. We are going back again. So happy her family is doing well and prayers for the young ones to be all they can be. Zenyatta is remarkable and it’s nice to hear she still likes her Guinness!
