Dear Judy B.,
Now that my eyes have cleared a bit, I can type! Thanks so much for this wonderful article — what a sweet and touching account, so filled with love. Bless all those who put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe, and bless their trusty, faithful helpers, too.
RIP dear Twenty, bringer of comfort, smiles and love.
Yes, tough to get through this story without tears, but it’s also another heartwarming example of the love and bonding between a dog and her people. Rest in peace beautiful girl. Love and Hugs, JB
Lovely tribute article to four great Champions: Man O’ War, John Henry, Alysheba and Cigar and photos of their beautiful memorial statues. Enjoy! Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy The Beauty,
Glad I checked in to see your lovely post of the statues at the KHP. It is a beautiful place to visit and such an amazing tribute to horses…..a must see for all horse lovers. Thanks for sharing. sue
A shadow doesn’t always show us what causes it. The shadow is a silhouette or a dark outline cast by something standing in the way of light. Frequently it is quite opposite from what it appears to be. A cluster of leaves can throw a shadow that looks like a huge snowflake, but it is not a snowflake at all.
And so it is with chasing a shadow over someone else’s reputation. What seems to be fact may not be fact at all, but only appearance-like the shadow of a leaf cluster that looks like a snowflake. Most of the time we would be lost if we had to depend on appearances. We are so sure of what we are seeing that little can change our minds-until truth moves and the shadow does not.
We are true when we look you in the face.

Congrats to Moore.
Here’s a video of another possible superstar from the yard of Willie Mullins. Min fulfills his early promise and wins big today at Punchestown. Excellent jumping form.
Dear Max,
Min was beautiful. Notice his jockey gave Min a hand ride. So glad to see that.
Thanks for sharing wonderful run.
Max
Willie Mullins says that Min is a very easy ride at home, but when he gets to the track he grows horns or wings. He wondered how Min would react when the two other horses came to him. Min just kicked it up a notch and moved away.
Dear Max.A lovely win for Min and Shorty.Good ride from him I have to admit!!It’s difficult to see them racing on better ground in Ireland.Did you see how they finished at Chepstow?Hugs Sheena

I saw a photo of Moore after the race, smiling through a lot of mud.
Thanks to all who enjoyed the latest Hee Haw joke about the doctor’s examination. The weather has calmed down somewhat but rain is expected later today. However the races will probably not be affected and California Chrome should go. I’m not sure what to make of this race but I feel it is a conditioning race and Chrome may or may not be fully cranked. I’m hoping for the best but not sure. One thing, though. If anyone has something with the CC colors on it it is no longer valid. The colors were changed by the “new” ownership.
I’m watching the races from SA on Cal Racing and right now the track looks pretty good. Hope the rains holds off. I read that CC’s new racing color is Silver Gray. Love and Hugs, JB
