Hello Z’sters,
I am sure most of you have seen this, and if so, I apologize for the redundancy; however, in case someone hasn’t, please enjoy. It is pretty cute.
Never respond to the words of a critic. If there is a lesson in what has been said, learn it quickly but give yourself credit for knowing something. Fight the urge to fight. Don’t argue with stupidity-it rubs off on you. Know who you are and don’t worry about what other people think. Be your own best friend and avoid trouble like poison, which it is. Dear Judy.L loved reading this.As you know the Coolmore empire was founded on the success as a sire of his famous son Sadler’s Wells who died just 4 days before his famous grandson Frankel’s amazing 2000 guineas win.Of course Northern Dancer sired our last TC winner Nijinsky. His legacy lives on one of the most influential sires of the 20th century.Love and hugs Sheena
Northern Dancer is recognized by experts as the most influential sire of the 20th century. He may in fact be the most influential thoroughbred sire of all time.

Dear Max:
I think you’re right. He shows up in so, so many TB pedigrees. Love and Hugs, JB
Judy,
Thanks for the video tribute to the great “Dancer.” He shows up in the pedigrees of so many champions.
And at the end, there was my beloved Alydar. So glad to see him in all his happy glory. Forgot about the lies that were told about his passing! Lundy may misfortune dog you forever!
That’s some beautiful footage of Alydar at the end of the video. So terribly sad what happened to him. He was a warrior with so much heart. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy B.,
Thanks for posting these links. Really enjoyed them!
The Northern Dancer one led to viewing 4 part videos of ND’s career and connections. I then viewed The Canadians – Northern Dancer. This explains why it is after 2AM, and I am just heading to bed! Lots of interesting history from people who knew and worked with The Dancer.
Fantastic video, thanks JB.
Love the description of ND being a challenge and a gift.
Also nice seeing the great, Quadrangle. He always had a place on my heart.

On a better note. On twitter/ClockersCorner, there is a picture of Ziconic during his work. It seems a bit strange as he appears to be running in company with several other horses????? You can also find it under Ziconic over on the forum.
Guys,
Something strange going on with the ClockersCorner photo. One time I click on it and it is Ziconic alone, another time it is him running with other horses. Think someone is doing some “funny stuff.” The one photo makes it appear he is in an actual race!
Just went to Clocker’s Corner Twitter to look for ZI’s photos that Shirlee referenced and I found this fantastic photo of COZ. OMG, has he ever filled out. What a gorgeous boy. Love and Hugs, JB

Andrew Bensley tweets Monday Jan. 11 2016 Breaking:
Golden Slipper winner Vancouver is set to join the stable of Aidan O’Brien in Ireland and will be aimed towards Royal Ascot.
Quarantine details are being finalised right now with Vancouver likely to do a fortnight here (Australia) before jetting out to Ireland.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien will aim Vancouver towards Royal Ascot but he’ll also look at other European Summer Carnival races.
Obviously connections are hoping to make Vancouver into an International stallion. Being Slipper winner he’s secured his breeding lines here
James Bester @CoolmoreAus told @SkySportsRadio1 maybe a race like Queen Anne at Royal Ascot would suit Vancouver but Aidan O’Brien decides.
£1 Million Boost To Royal Ascot Prize Fund
Ascot Racecourse today announces that Royal Ascot prize money has been increased by £1 million (18% uplift on 2015) this year, bringing total prize money on offer to a record £6,580,000 over the week.
Also unveiled today are plans for the new Unsaddling Enclosure, a £700,000 project that began earlier this month and will see a new, purpose built area in operation in time for the 2016 flat season.
ROYAL ASCOT PRIZE MONEY
As well as record prize money and an overall £1 million increase over the week, for the first time, every day at Royal Ascot will offer prize money of at least £1 million and none of the 30 races will be run for less than £80,000 (£60,000 in 2015).
Headline increases include:
Prince of Wales’s Stakes – £750,000 from £525,000.
Queen Anne Stakes – £600,000 from £375,000.
Diamond Jubilee Stakes – £600,000 from £525,000.
(For complete list & information, see link below) https://www.ascot.co.uk/1m-boost-royal-ascot-prize-money
Mullins might be interested in this news. He’s not just a jump trainer. He loves making a raid on England. In June 2012, he ran Simenon at Ascot and won. Four days later Simenon ran again at Ascot and won again. Ryan Moore was the jockey.

Dear Sheena:
So many TBs with ND in their pedigree. He was amazing. Love and Hugs, JB
Max
Northern Dancer is recognized by experts as the most influential sire of the 20th century. He may in fact be the most influential thoroughbred sire of all time.
Judy Berube from Rhode Island

Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Shirlee:
That’s some beautiful footage of Alydar at the end of the video. So terribly sad what happened to him. He was a warrior with so much heart. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Judy B.,
Thanks for posting these links. Really enjoyed them!
The Northern Dancer one led to viewing 4 part videos of ND’s career and connections. I then viewed The Canadians – Northern Dancer. This explains why it is after 2AM, and I am just heading to bed! Lots of interesting history from people who knew and worked with The Dancer.
Again, Thank you and Goodnight!
Hugs and Love
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Marshall:
You’re so welcome. Yes, I watched The Canadians – Northern Dancer video too. Love and Hugs, JB

So sad to lose these guys.
On a better note. On twitter/ClockersCorner, there is a picture of Ziconic during his work. It seems a bit strange as he appears to be running in company with several other horses????? You can also find it under Ziconic over on the forum.
shirleeinindy
Guys,
Something strange going on with the ClockersCorner photo. One time I click on it and it is Ziconic alone, another time it is him running with other horses. Think someone is doing some “funny stuff.” The one photo makes it appear he is in an actual race!
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Shirlee and Z Fans:
Just went to Clocker’s Corner Twitter to look for ZI’s photos that Shirlee referenced and I found this fantastic photo of COZ. OMG, has he ever filled out. What a gorgeous boy. Love and Hugs, JB

Shirlee, I see what you mean about other horses on the track. Maybe ZI was just out for a gallop and not a timed work.

Mullins might be interested in this news. He’s not just a jump trainer. He loves making a raid on England. In June 2012, he ran Simenon at Ascot and won. Four days later Simenon ran again at Ascot and won again. Ryan Moore was the jockey.
