Happy Monday!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! These photos from Alys show how Zenyatta enjoyed her holiday.
Now that the festivities are over, we have some updates in the works including additions to the shop (sneak peek: we’re launching a new line of greeting cards) and news about Cozmic One and Ziconic. Make sure you’re on our mailing list for early access and December promotions.
Enjoy!

Some of our greatest victories come when they are least expected and from sources that we have the least faith in. If the most beat-down person keeps the faith and moves ahead just as though he has a written contract with success, he will, even to his own amazement, come out a winner!
Most people think there’s not a chance of success without great publicity and promotion-and the right connections. But the best connections are spiritually motivated by faith and caring that far overshadow puny human efforts. The will to win is important-but the Almighty Hand never has a failure.
The Great Spirit whispers in my ear!

Dear Sheena,
It only gets worse…he’s working from home the rest of the week! I’m worried that we haven’t had an update on Wookie. Feeling so bad for Fubu. How can he be enjoying life at this point? At least his BP is better. I hope Anthony is truly delighted with the foal that results from that date for all that money! Steve just sees the hygienist today so that won’t be too bad. Have a great day. Hugs, Kathy

Hi Zsters☺
I hope everyone is keeping dry. Its been wet here the past couple of days.? Today i finally have a Dr’s appt. The last time i saw a dr was in 09. So im happy and nervous. Hopefully she can help. Hooves crossed?
Today’s devo:
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever.” (Luke 1:46–55)
Mary sees clearly a most remarkable thing about God: He is about to change the course of all human history; the most important three decades in all of time are about to begin.
And where is God? Occupying himself with two obscure, humble women — one old and barren (Elizabeth), one young and virginal (Mary). And Mary is so moved by this vision of God, the lover of the lowly, that she breaks out in song — a song that has come to be known as “the Magnificat” (Luke 1:46–55).
Mary and Elizabeth are wonderful heroines in Luke’s account. He loves the faith of these women. The thing that impresses him most, it appears, and the thing he wants to impress on Theophilus, his noble reader, is the lowliness and cheerful humility of Elizabeth and Mary.
Elizabeth says (Luke 1:43), “And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord would come to me?” And Mary says (Luke 1:48), “He has looked on the humble estate of his servant.”
The only people whose soul can truly magnify the Lord are people like Elizabeth and Mary — people who acknowledge their lowly estate and are overwhelmed by the condescension of the magnificent God.

Dear Max.Sad to hear Un De Sceaux is out of the Tingle Creek,Willie says he’s been”a bit flat” the last couple of days but Simonsig is back plus Sire de Grugy.Maybe Nicky is sorry now he didn’t enter Sprinter Sacre.I follow Al Kazeem on FB now lovely pic of him taken by Gina Harding.Hope he can be a success this time. How are you feeling?Hugs Sheena.
Max
Thanks for this update about the horses. Simonsig is a very handsome gray. I hope that he does well, but then Sire is great too, a fine member of the chestnut club. Nicky and Willie understand SS and Un best and know what is right for them. It’s always wise never to second guess a decision. I feel sort of like Un currently does, but must keep going. Keep me advised about Al. I really like that horse. He is always professional and a rare talent. He’s a credit to Wales.

KY Derby points system is going to keep filly’s from entering the Derby;
due to the fact they will have to face colts multiple times to gain points.
One draw back with the new system, Songbird is going to have two preps
and then to the Oaks for that reason. She is so talented, maybe is she stays
a superhorse another female BCC winner, after Beholder of course.
No recent works for Beholder since the BC, she must be enjoying eating
bon bons in her new round pen with her pepermints.

Thoughts and prayers go out to those in San Bernardino. This old world is in a sad state; there is too much pain being generated by hatred in many forms. May those injured recover soon both physically and mentally, and may those who lost family/friends be comforted.

Dear tizgood:
I believe the nick was C++ for Zenny and American Pharoah on one of the sites. If anyone has more knowledge about this, it would be good to learn more about bloodlines.
Love and kisses to our beautiful horse of our dreams, Zenyatta. Our thanks to Alys for more great pictures.
Tizgood
Dear Robin,
Thanks for commenting on the nick; he would not
be a good mate for her. I think that she is an outcross
and so is he. If ask the experts comes up that would
be a good question for Dottie she does the analysis
for who she should be bred to and presents to Mosses with
lots of input from others JS and her son David Ingordo
and probably others. Bloodhorse does some
good pedigree analysis; but not sure they would
do this specific one. Maybe TC or Laura J might
have some comments.
Love and hugs

Pretty sure they are trying to create a “Zenyatta Family”

Much has grieved us, we cannot deny it. Strong as we are, believing as we do, we are still grieved, and we must overcome it.
To stop grieving does not mean we no longer care, but that we cannot let this emotion consume us when we need a steady hand and a firm step. It will creep back in unlikely moments to make us cry but time will replace the pain with happy memories.
Once we have a flicker of light we can know that grieving is at an end. It can no longer take our whole thought because we have things to do, places to go, and a life to live. This is the time.
He orders all things, and He has given us a fine day.

Dear Kathy.Big computer problems! So sad about the shootings near you.The news was breaking last night as I was going to bed.I cannot understand your country’s obsession with guns. The utter misery and loss of life.It seems they had a 6month old baby.Thank God she will never remember them.
Poor Wookie he is so young and so many meds now.It was Kimberly’s birthday yesterday and Fubu did visit Petco the day he visited the doc.He listens to the birdies now.The Ratties trabeled to Maryland,Zoe had some nice gifts from Douglas.I haven’t been able to visit the rest.Hope PC is ok now.Not one of my best days so far!You have a great day if possible.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

Dear Sheena,
We’re all sort of numb from yesterday’s event. Very troubling news about Wookie. I’m saddened that they can’t fix the problem. And so many meds! 15 is a LOT! Will continue praying for that little guy. I hope Fubu enjoyed his visit to Petco. Makes me want to cry that he is limited to listening to the birdies. I’ll have to read up on the ratties’ travels. I did see that Zoe got some gifts. Fingers crossed PC is okay. Have as good a day as possible. Just remember…Friday Eve! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Derby winner Valenzuela riding again at 53
in Jockey Talk 360 December2 2015
By Jonathan Litner for The Louisville Courier-Journal
Back in the saddle at age 53, Kentucky Derby-winning jockey Patrick Valenzuela recently said he feels 80 percent, “so these guys better watch out when I put that 20 percent back in.”
The rider’s up-and-down career has included victories in most every American classic but also struggles with drug and alcohol abuse. Valenzuela’s making his latest comeback in Louisiana, where in 2008 he rode his 4,000th winner.

He has had problems various things. It is amazing to me that he keeps getting chances to ride.

keeps coming back and getting rides.

Today’s devo:
“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us…” (Luke 1:68–71)
Notice two remarkable things from these words of Zechariah in Luke 1.
First, nine months earlier, Zechariah could not believe his wife would have a child. Now, filled with the Holy Spirit, he is so confident of God’s redeeming work in the coming Messiah that he puts it in the past tense. For the mind of faith, a promised act of God is as good as done. Zechariah has learned to take God at his word and so has a remarkable assurance: “God has visited and redeemed!”
Second, the coming of Jesus the Messiah is a visitation of God to our world: “The God of Israel has visited and redeemed.” For centuries, the Jewish people had languished under the conviction that God had withdrawn: the spirit of prophecy had ceased, Israel had fallen into the hands of Rome. And all the godly in Israel were awaiting the visitation of God. Luke tells us in 2:25 that the devout Simeon was “looking for the consolation of Israel.” And in Luke 2:38 the prayerful Anna was “looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.”
These were days of great expectation. Now the long awaited visitation of God was about to happen — indeed, he was about to come in a way no one expected.

The Queen looks so peaceful in her pasture. Beautiful photos. Thank you so much for these. All of us Zenyatta fans enjoy this site! ?

It is really sad and very scary that such misguided persons can just pick up a gun and cause such a disaster. Such heart break, and so senseless. Our world has become such a scary place. I want to go out to Lane’s End, crawl into Zenyatta’s pasture, and lay on my back, soaking up the sun and listening to her munch grass. Nothing more relaxing and innocent than that.
Barbara Wood
Many, many thanks to all of you who wished me well on my big 7-0 (hate to say it) birthday. Two people have told me that 70 is the new 40. I’ll take that.
Thank you, Marshall(NC Broad), Judy B., Kathy, Elizabeth in NM, BGG, Vamp, and Sheena Davies, and most of all, dear Sandy, who posted the alert. My love and hugs to you all.
Please forgive my not checking in earlier. Someone has stolen my credit card number, made a big online purchase, but the good news is that the credit card is taking over, along with Best Buy, and the Waco police dept. It will be a felony charge, and they are pretty sure it will be easy to nab the suspect.
Zenny–you are looking matronly, but beautiful, as only you can. We will love you forever.
Finally sun here in TX after a week of rain and cold. Things are looking up. Hugs to all.

Just saw that Shared Belief died? Can anyone confirm this?
Per Claire Novak @BH_CNovak 3 minutes ago
BH has left messages w/ @jimrome, @Alex_Solis_II, Dan Ward & Jerry Hollendorfer regarding Shared Belief rumors. Will do our best to update.
Karen R.
TVG just mentioned it saying Shared Belief was euthanized due to complications of colic. Nothing has been confirmed by connections as yet. I hope it’s just a rumor. He’s such a beautiful and talented horse. I just saw video of his gallop yesterday morning at Golden Gate. Very sad news if true.
