Happy Monday!

We thought we’d share some photos of spring’s special moments. The Mosses celebrated Mother’s Day with an incredibly sweet cake representing Zenyatta and her filly. The Easter filly, who now has a special foal tag inscribed with her nickname “Z Princess,” was recently reacquainted with her Easter Bunny and other birthday spoils. Alys sent us these photos.

    Princess has certainly inherited her Mother’s great beauty! Those huge eyes and long eyelashes are just gorgeous! The pictures are absolutely adorable, especially the ones of Princess with her pink Easter bunny and Queen Z inspecting the row of Easter chicks.

      Sheena. I like the Mother’s Day cake too. Also the full on photo of Z and 14. Their ears are superb. We’ve also got the same Easter egg wreath.
      News from your neck of the woods is that Al Kazeem is making progress on his return to racing. He’s adjusting well which can often not be the case with retired horses. Charlton says that Al is smart and good tempered. He is aiming Al for a fall return to racing. Same as Moosie?

    Momma Z and Z Princess are just so sweet. Look at those family ears! She wears them so well along with that curly mane! She is just beautiful!

      I totally missed saying that the cake is just exquisite. Looks like licorice for manes and tails. What I can see of Z’s face the blaze is just right. It takes very special people to always be involved in the life of the special horse that came into their lives and to share it with us, the fans, zsters, dumplings, horse lovers, Everyone!
      Have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure it’s real!

    Wonderful pictures!! Z Princess is so beautiful. I didn’t really care if this foal was a filly or colt before she was born–just healthy and safely delivered. Now I am so happy that Zenyatta had a filly. You can tell she is a girl just by her feminine face!

    Such an adorable girl….her eyes show attentiveness and intelligence just like her Mom.
    I wonder if she too will stop and carefully look over the crowd. Thanks so much for those special moments. They are indeed priceless.

    This was just what I needed during a very difficult and stressful time. I could look at the Z family photos all day, and I’m sure at least some of the stress, if not all, would magically disappear! Thank you for being so generous and sharing all the cuteness. Z Princess certainly takes after The Queen Z! All the Easter goodies make the photos that much sweeter!

    OH thank you so much for these wonderful pics, she is too cute for words. At first I didn’t think her ears looked that big, but now, WOW, she’s got the family ears!! What a beautiful little girl she is and she really looks like a girl……let’s hope she runs like one too. We are so lucky to have the Mosses and LE, and the team to keep us involved in her life, just think if it wasn’t for them we would have missed all these wonderful photos and updates, and Zenny would be lost to us. THANK YOU so much for including us.

    And CC gets to run and wear his nasal tape, they finally got someone smart at the Belmont, or was it the threat that he might not come at all? Can’t wait to see him get the chance!!

    I hope Zenny gets to keep this baby longer as she is not pregnant this year. Love to Mama Z, Lily, Zirconic, Coz, and my Indy.

    I look forward to all the posts on the website. It justs makes my day. Zenyatta is a wonderful mother and the best race horse of all time. I am looking forward to following the careers of all her babies. I want to thank the Moss’ for giving us the opportunity to continue to follow Zenyatta. It means the world to so many people.

    The pictures are precious. So thankful to Ann and Jerry for sharing Zenny’s life with us. I also want to mention that I received The Clubhouse Tote in the mail today and it is GORGEOUS!!! The leather is scrumptious….plus made in the USA!

    Thanks so much for the pictures. Laughed out loud at the one of the Princess and her pink bunny. She really has her mom’s beautiful ears and eyes and a real “girlie” look about her. Hope they send some pics of the boys soon.

    Dear Max.Yes,I read about Al Kazeem.Roger Charlton is delighted to have him back in training,am hoping he can come back as good.He did manage to get 25 mares in foal .
    Nissy has reached 2003 “likes” on his FB Yoo- Hoo!Can’t understand why Prince Charles doesn’t read his blog !Should realize the royal family are not cat lovers except for Princess Michael of Kent.Great photos of Z and her PrinZess.Free the Moose.PU Dan.Sheena.

      Sheena. Al is definitely the pride of Wales. Retiring him may have been done a little too soon. He’s a very good looking horse, but he’s not finished with racing. I like to see horses race as long as they are healthy and interested. Charlton thinks that there is a lot left in the tank yet.
      News on Dan is that he is probably going home on Wednesday. LoPresti says that he is as strong as ever and is already pushing people around. He’s back on his food. Kind of incredible.

      Thanks BGG. It took almost 2 years for Thousand Stars to get back to winning races. He just persevered and his trainer never gave up on him. His owners also kept him in training despite his losses. Think about that when the thought arises that Ebby should be retired to be a broodmare. Keep going Ebby. Your luck will change.

    Love the cake….Ann and Jerry are so kind and thoughtful. I have not gotten excited about racing since Z retired but with California Chrome he has lighted a spark for me. It has been fun to watch his journey. I am excited about the Belmont. But…and a big but…. there has not been any excitement for me like Zenyatta or for racing. After the Preakness, it made me think more about Z. I watched the Breeders Cup 2009 several times…and I still get chills watching it and knowing how it ends. I love when he calls Z a super horse and says unbelievable. I also watched when she first got to Lane’s End in 2010 and was so excited….kicking up her heels. Z is amazing and I think a gift from Heaven. Look at all the joy she brings even in retirement and all the money she brings in for charity. She is a precious gift!!!! I am excited to see how her colts and filly take to racing. Love to Z…….

    Oh Zenyatta these pictures are so Wonderful. Z Princess is so Beautiful. I will show the children. They are all in love with you and your children. I just have to tell you that I showed the Preakness video in my classes today and many of the children said that you could have beaten CC and all the other horses. I told them I think you could too. You are one of the Greatest Race Horses to ever live. We are all lucky that your family shares your life with all of us. I am sending you many Hugs and Kisses from me and the 5th Graders from Westgate School, Shari
    PS We have a real live Draft Horses coming to school tomorrow. The children are so excited !!!!
