It has been a beautiful spring in Kentucky for Zenyatta and her paddock mate, Vixana. Alys Emson often stops by their paddock with her camera, and she took the following photos in May and June.
Dear Judy.A great Queen Anne with Tepin winning in style.I am so glad her connections brought her over here.Such a pity the weather was miserable it’s rained here all day.The “bobs” are very restless and they are getting too big to “cwtch”under Glesni now.It was so sad for the French Police Officer’s little boy to see his parents killed in front of him. These terrorists are savages.Looks as if there will be trouble at the football between the English and Russian fans tomorrow.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Frank Hercules Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Hello, Beautiful Girls! It’s great to see both of you! It always makes my day when there’s a new post. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. Love you, Zenny!!
You both look so beautiful in the light of a new season. Thank you, Team Z, for keeping me close to “My Girl” despite your busy lives. And special thanks to Alys for still more great photos.
I was DELIGHTED at TEPIN’S win today @ Royal Ascot!! What a great, great mare she is. And there was NO Lasix or nose plaster either. But she must be exhausted after running in such soft, heavy turf and yes, she sure does deserve a good, long break.
And CARAVAGGIO! He was just magnificent.
Think of it: two Storm Cat descendants captivating Royal Ascot!!!!
Hugs & love to all and peppermint kisses to Zenny, Vixana and the boys. Eternal love to you, Z Princess, and your brother.
I love you and your horse friends Zenyatta. Vixana is a pretty friend.
Now, remember not to keep yourself up late having fun with friends!
love you with kisses and to all your colts.. and

Z looks magnificent, and she seems to be “sticking out” in all the right places! Thanks so much for keeping us updated on her and providing such beautiful photos! Really do appreciate those photos, Alys! Hugs to all!
On occasion two people will get the same idea, but it is the one with persistence and determination who brings that idea into being. That person didn’t let the idea escape, but spent time with it, seeing and tasting its possibilities.
How many of us have been surprised by someone else having the same idea or thought we did? We dallied with it, spent time wondering if it was worthwhile, and wasted the power by talking about it too soon. In the meantime, the other person thought about it and set right to work perfecting every detail.
Life is not going to wait on those who dally. We have to learn where the start button is and lose no time hitting it.
We are like birds with a broken wing.

Steve has a dental appointment this morning so my schedule’s kind of topsy turvy today! Hope all is well with you. The FB furbabies I’ve visited are fine. More sadness in Orlando. An alligator dragged away a 2-year-old little boy. The dad tried his best to rescue the little boy but the alligator was just too strong. Horrible…I hope you have a good day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Ode to Zenyatta: After watching an entire racing day at Belmont and other tracks, I am sitting here reflecting on Z. It is “Unbelievable” how she was able to continue to win races coming from so far behind in every race and win, even though she was immensely talented. It is a record that is so hard to attain as a closer, and she did it with style, grace, and talent and…a little dance each time. She was simply Phenomenal!!! These talented colts have never been able to close and win as she was able to do consistently. And, I will mention that she never had a “rabbit” in the race to help her as Gettysburg did today for Creator. Not that he isn’t good but it just proves how great she was on her own merit. I am in awe of her! I tip my hat to you Z, you are one in a million. So proud of you! I will love and admire you no matter what. Unfortunately, you have suffered setbacks that have been out of your control but you have already given us fans so much. Whatever comes next is just icing on the cake. You are a gift, a magical being that has been sent to us. You have shown all of us that you will triumph over all, and great things are right around the corner. I will always enjoy “the ride with you”, after all, you are the Queen of Racing.
Dear Kathy.Oh,the dreaded dentist!!There was a heavy shower just before the Royal procession but Her Majesty used an umbrella.Bill Farish of Lane’s End with her!!!First visit for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Kate is in very pale pink and Her Majesty in a brighter pink.Mark Casse looked around Ascot yesterday and said”This is something else”Tepin is awesome today after her fantastic win in the Queen Anne.Sad to hear Acapulco won’t run because of the soft ground,Zoe went to visit Mr Al yesterday in the cemetary and Marty’s message from Heaben about cheerios. Will look for photos.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Hello, there, Zenny. Beautiful as always.
I have been in and out and may have missed something. Has there been an announcement as to whether or not Zenny is in foal?
Hugs and love to all.
Thanks, Team Z, for all the updates.
Thank you Team Z.
Always enjoy your photos, Alys. Lucky you following those sweet mares in for their breakfast. What a great way to start the day! Wish we could smell that beautiful pasture and you Z.
TEPIN! WOW! So proud of you and bet Norman is, too. After all, you are his girl.
Wish we could have seen the Flying Dismount….darn TVG.. Congrats to Frankie!
The summer heat is settling in. That means watermelon…Barnaby, hope your Mom shares hers with you.
Love to all.
I’ve been thinking the same thing, Ann. We’re MISSING a lot here (other than the actual races). Didn’t get to see Tepin in the winner’s circle yesterday which was really a shame. Don’t know if TVG is constrained to use the British feed that includes the other tracks or if they could do better. Sent them an email, but got a less than satisfactory response :-(
Love seeing Zenyatta and her friend Vixana. Think of her often especially when watching racing. She is one of a kind.
Always look forward to pictures of her beautiful sons. Thanks Team Z!

Wow, what can you say about Lady Aurelia in the Queen Mary!!!She BLEW the opposition away,Another flying dismount from Frankie and so lovely to see Barbara Banke visiting Royal Ascot.Huge congratulations to her team.Sheena.
Great photos of the Queen and her BFF. There are some fabulous race mares in action right now. Tepin, Beholder, and Songbird to name just a few. But none has the charismatic quality that endears Zenyatta to her loyal following. Long may you reign!
