It has been a beautiful spring in Kentucky for Zenyatta and her paddock mate, Vixana. Alys Emson often stops by their paddock with her camera, and she took the following photos in May and June.
Wow again.Shock winner of the Prince of Wales My Dreamboat just beat Found in a thrilling finish.A fantastic week for Adam Kirby and Clive Cox.A Shin Hikari a huge disappointment sadly.Sheena
Last time Zenyatta was in foal, didn’t she have a tag on her halter? I know she did when the foals were born, but I think she did once she was in foal. There is no tag on her halter yet, hope it does not mean she “missed!” Is it too late in the year to do a breeding if she did miss?
So glad Zenyatta has a gal pal she can enjoy her days with. They look so fashionable in their bug masks! :) I hope she and Vixana don’t have nearly as many mosquitoes as our horses have to deal with here on the gulf coast!
Thanks, as always, to Alys and Team Z for taking and sharing these beautiful photos. So nice to see our girls enjoying the nice weather – no fly masks yet! :-)
Dear Judy.Lady Aurelia’s race will live long in the memory, the speed of that girl. She will stay in the UK for awhile maybe race at Goodwood.Frankie is having a great time,Monty,Glesni and Blue were featured on Springwatch tonight. There is something going on in Hovis’s life Aunty Becky asked “does he know”??Perhaps we will hear on Friday.English football fans gone on the rampage again!!!Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Frank Hercules Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Congrats to Lady Aurelia. A lot of surprises at Ascot. Good for Frankie. The Ospreys are celebs. Will wait to hear what’s happening with Hovis. Lack of self control seems to be the norm these days; sad. Goodnight. Love and Hugs, JB, LM, PC, HT, Cap, Herc, Frank, Bentley and all the Sweeties
Oh beautiful Zenyatta!!! You STILL love having your photo taken!! I hope you are happy and healthy!!! Thank you for the wonderful pics!! I’m sure everyone on this website enjoy seeing updates on this amazing horse!!
Miss hearing from you. Found this terrific slideshow of the Danimal. You may have seen some of these before; hopefully, some new ones too. Love and Hugs, JB
Thanks for the link to the Wise Dan slideshow. I hope Max sees it since it is so great.
So nice to revisit the Danimal through these wonderful pix! He is gorgeous for sure.
So thankful she is doing so well and has a buddy to hang out with. She is a beautiful girl, Praying she has a bun in the oven, Love ya girl, beautiful face , hugs & kisses.
Just found this photo of ZI on Twitter. The time recorded is 7:41 AM the morning of his last Race, Sunday June 6th. He and Mario were totally in sync. Too cute. What an absolutely gorgeous boy he is. Love and Hugs, JB
Thank you for these beautiful photographs of our lovely ladies enjoying their summer in Kentucky. Always so nice to visit with the Queen and her best friend.
Tomorrow California Chrome’s sister runs at Santa Anita R Sunday Surprise. Safe racing to this beautiful baby – just two years old.
What is so rare as a day in June? An Indian who has forgotten to worship, who does not meditate on his heritage, who eats all the wrong things, and who forgets to breathe deeply of God’s green earth. We are not to blame for everything, but we do know we learn as we go. The Great Spirit leads us where we should be if we listen-and we do listen because it is life to us and health to our bones.
Legends are related about the contempt and disgrace falling upon the ungenerous and mean person.

Dear Zenny, you are still the most gorgeous creature on earth to us. Your kind eyes, gentle spirit and majestic size take our breath away. Alys, you have once again caught the aura of our Queen so beautifully in these photos. Thank you so much for taking the time to share them with us. Team Z, you know how much we need this special connection to our Zenny…especially during difficult times. Love to all.
Dear Kathy.Such a lovely devotional.Showers everywhere but I was lucky to escape them and the Royal procession did take place. Her Majesty is in cobalt blue and an orange hat.It was a great honour for Bill Farish to ride in the Queen’s carriage yesterday and we have another US filly in the first race.Frankie is doing well he just couldn’t believe how fast Lady Aurelia was.She was phenomenal.Someone called Scott Hazelton is over here commentating.Wes Ward says there is not another race meeting like RA in the world.
A sad story from Viktor a little kitten called Prince died Tuesday there were trying to build him up to operate on his eyes but he was just soo weak. They were taking maggots out of his eyes it was horrible but he died surrounded by love. One of my FB friends Liz is at Ascot today in the Royal Enclosure. She looks really lovely in turquoise blue.Mr Fibbs offered his teddy for a hug oh he will make a good President.Hugs and doughnuts!Samwise and Tom are getting on well Sam is taking in all the sights and sounds.I wonder what is going on with Hovis??CNSM is away and Hovis had some trouble with his hoof so he arranged for another CNSM to call and everybody wanted a photo!Wales are playing England in the euros today the English fans behaviour has been disgusting.Gosh, the Duke of Kent has got 2 beautiful granddaughters. We only get to see them at the Trooping the Colour. They knocks spots off Andrew’s girls.Have a wonderful day.Hope Steve survived the dentist!Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Scott H is a commentator on TVG – our horse racing TV channel. Odd that YOU are seeing him, and we are not! Is he on one of the British TV channels? We are getting very limited coverage :-(
I’ve really been enjoying all the pics from RA. All the best to all the participating horses and jockeys. What a wonderful event to be able to attend. So sorry to hear of the death of poor little Prince. At least he experienced love at the end of his too short life. I hope Liz is having a wonderful time. Yes, Fibbs’ pic with the teddy bear was adorable. So good to hear of Samwise and Tom’s blossoming relationship. Sorry to hear of Hovis’ hoof troubles. Hope he’s okay! Shame of the English fans’ behavior! Hopefully Wales prevails! I’ll have to look for the Duke of Kent’s granddaughters. Steve survived the dentist. Thanks for asking! Have a fantastic day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Thank you to Team Z for sharing Alys’s beautiful photos of Zenyatta and Vixana! I am so grateful you continue to give us these glimpses into the life of our Queen. She is so beautiful and appears to be healthy and happy. I enjoy the different angles of the photos that Alys snaps! Thanks!
Congratulations to Aidan for achieving his 50th Ascot winner with Evensong in the Ribblesdale today .Ryan aboard. Now for the Gold Cup Mullins with Max Dynamite perhaps!
Very sad news about one of our MP’s Jo Cox has been stabbed and shot in her constituency and she is in a “critical” condition. All referendum campaigning has been suspended. It seems she got involved in a fight between 2 men and was beaten up then shot and stabbed.Keeping her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.A suspect has been arrested.Sheena
Another Gold cup for Aidan with Order of St George caught in traffic problems a really rough race but did it well at the end. 51 winners now!Congratulations to all connections.Sheena
Royal Ascot is so enjoyable to watch. It would be really great if TVG would send over it’s own people for coverage. Then we could get a better sense of the folks there watching. We never see the crowds and we can’t hear them. We never get to see the presentations. We do get to see the Royal procession and I love that. The Queen is so beautiful and it was wonderful to see the Duke. He looks so frail. The rain has certainly had an impact of us here in Texas. The grass is knee high but the ground is so soft the mower sank into it and had to be towed out. The heat is terrible. It’s blueberry picking time again but this year I have to have one of my brothers do it for me.
We are all stunned in the UK at the senseless and brutal murder of one of our promising young MP’s Jo Cox.Aged 41ys and a mother of 2 young children she had been an MP for just over a year and represented Batley and Spen.Well respected and popular both sides of the floor at the commons she had worked for many years with Oxfam. There is no motive yet but no matter what our differences are politically to brutally murder an MP going about her work is beyond comprehension. This just doesn’t happen in the UK but it did today in broad daylight and is a sad reflection of the times in which we live.RIP Sheena

Has visna been bred? If so, to whom. I would hope they are both in foal and can stay together for their terms.

Dianne Marroletti
The actual end of the breeding season for thorobreds is July 1st,July 15th for standard breeds. I keep looking for signs too that she’s back in foal.
Melann
She was bred to Medaglia D’oro
Geri Ann Sefton
Yes, she was bred to Medaglia D’oro, but no announcement has been made as to if the breeding “took,” so we don’t know yet if she’s in foal or not.
Stella Bagwell in South Texas

So glad Zenyatta has a gal pal she can enjoy her days with. They look so fashionable in their bug masks! :) I hope she and Vixana don’t have nearly as many mosquitoes as our horses have to deal with here on the gulf coast!
