Wonderful that so much was raised to help retired race horses.

Congrats to all the winners!! I tried, but I guess I will have to try another day. Please give the Queen a hug and a carrot for me!

Congratulations to all the winners! You’re all so lucky. I must confess that I’m envious, but I really am happy for everyone. Be sure to take lots of peppermints and pears. I hear that Z loves them. Linda, I see that you’re from California. Be sure to bring warm clothes with you. It gets really cold here in January.
What Margaret said about staying a few extra days is right on. While you’re here you should definitely visit some farms. Claiborne has 2 tours every day at 10 and 11. Old Friends is a definite must and Adena Springs is great too. They have tours every day also. I’ve never been to any of the farms in January, so I would call ahead to make sure. Winstar and Taylor Made are great too. All of these farms are free, but it’s customary to tip the tour guide.

♥ Hi Debbie GF!
Good advice! Kentucky is a beautiful place but it could be very cold those dates.
BTW you know IF I had won a trip I would be visiting farms with YOU again! :-D

Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to Team Z & Lane’s End for offering the visits to meet Zenyatta as well all of the generous other prizes. You are the best!
Auntie Judy, if you clean Zenny’s halter make sure to apply either neatsfoot oil or Lexol after cleaning it to keep the leather from drying out. The soap will take the moisturizing oils out of it & you need to replace it so the leather doesn’t crack. Personally, I would only condition it with Lexol or neatsfoot oil every once in awhile if the leather dries out or especially if you live in a dry area or use air conditioning & dry heat. Cleaning is only needed to remove dirt & sweat. I used glycerin soap to clean my tack when I had Pride.

Thank you for the tips. I almost don’t want to “touch” it with any cleaners as to save The Queen’s DNA. I also have a John Henry Halter that I’ve never touched. It is in a shadow box. I will probably do the same with Zen’s :-)

Finally, so glad and relieved to hear from the “backbone” so to speak of those who helped create this superb site years ago. Was afraid with the recent bickering and power struggles lately we lost you. Personally, I peek in with one eye shut kind of disappointed, feeling we lost our way from what Dottie’s goal was at the beginning. She left and here we are. Personally, since this is Z’s website and not a general horse racing site, we need to remember and respect that. Gosh, each day I have to sift through pages and pages of people’s personal diaries.Ugh. Thank God for Team Z and The Mosses to bring us back! I know, am anticipating to be told to go elsewhere or scroll past the paragraphs of unrelated topics. Please, we are not trolls, we are the original loyal Zenyatta fans who do not take this site for granted and find the right balance, supporting one another during difficult times when needed. So proud to be included in providing financial help to horses in need. Got an email today my Zenny items are in the mail to add to my collection!
Max
Zenyatta inspires love, and love always tends to get personal. Each day on this site we are lucky to be able to sift through all of these incredible pages of love. The more love in this world, the better we are for it.

Zenny was always about inclusion. It’s great to see this site so active from a variety of people who love her and all horses.

I hope you offer the opportunity to contribute to a good cause and the possibility of winning great prizes next year. I’ll keep trying as long as the chance is there!
Zenyatta didn’t give up and neither will I!

Dear Max, Marshall, Donna, Elizabeth, Vicki B, Pam and all other Z Fans who prayed for Dubai:
I don’t have your emails, so I have to tell you on Z’s Blog that Dubai crossed over the Rainbow Bridge today. Angela was with him and I waited with Alex. I kissed him goodby and told him to stay close to little Curly Mane in Heaven. Thank you again for all your prayers. We will miss our beautiful boy. Love and Hugs, JB

Judy,
So sorry to hear of Dubai leaving you. If it is any consolation, he is running free now with no pain and many friends to run with him. You and Angela loved and cared for him above and beyond but sometimes it is just not meant to be. All of us here on the blog join you in your sorrow. Seems like there has been so much lately.

Judy, sorry about Dubai needing to “move on”. But glad he’s no longer in pain, and that you got to kiss him goodbye, and send him with your messages. And sure he knew that you, and Angela, and his other friends loved him, which is what matters. I hope we all are privileged to feel similarly, when it’s our time to go.

Dear Sue,
So glad they were able to diagnose you and now can get you better. I use coconut oil on my breakfast fruit every morning too, so I know what you mean – if I run out of it, it’s a bit disappointing not to see ‘snow’ covering those blueberries, cherries and strawberries. Keeping you in my prayers.

November 11 Cherokee Devotional
As children we scurried along some hidden path like rabbits, and thrilled to special hideaways that we were sure no one else knew about. Something is us never really grows up. We still cherish a moment of solitude away from the beaten path, ga nv nv i. The feeling may come in a crowd where everyone is a stranger who expects nothing of us. It may come as we walk in the woods where nature’s wildlife becomes very still or totally ignores us. Or it may be behind closed doors where noise is shut out and peace reigns. Wherever or whatever we require to make us feel the comfort of solitude, it is first begun in the heart with a feeling of contentment. It is a willingness and the capacity to enjoy a secret place-like the rabbit runs of childhood.
I was warmed by the sun, rocked by the winds, and sheltered by the trees as other Indian babes.

Congratulations to all the winners!! How very, very special it will be to actually visit with our Queen!! Of course, I’m jealous, but I hope we will get to read reports and see photos. I felt like I had won yesterday when the items I purchased from the Zenyatta shop, my stickers and koozies, came in the mail. Woohoo!!
Vicki B. near Hollywood Park
Aren’t the koozies great, Celeste? I use one at work every day, and love it — my soda stays cold much longer. And I am reminded of Zenny’s colors and/or races every time I pick one up.

So happy for all of the winners. Congratulations! It is wonderful that the Thoroughbred Rehab Ctr will receive a gift from you, Zenny, and from us in your fan family. My better half is having to work on my computer, so I haven’t been able to read all of the posts for the few days and it will take a few more days to get this done. Computer is crawling slower than a snail, so will probably only be able to be on it briefly the next week or so. My millions of photos for my art it bogged it down. Missed reading everyone’s emails, so am happy this morning to be able to briefly check in. Love you all, Elizabeth

Congratulations to all the winners.
Those of you going to Kentucky to see Zenyatta are very blessed and lucky. If you have never been to Kentucky before you are in for a real treat. Even in winter, Ky is the most beautiful state in America, in my opinion. But, like Debbie G said, dress warmly.
Auntie Judy: I somehow knew you would win the halter. Congratulations. I know you will be sleeping with it, I would be for sure, lol.
Love to all, especially you, Zenyatta my angel forever.
♥ Auntie Judy aka JAG So. California
♥ Darlene you are too funny! :-) Thank you for the confidence that I would win the bidding war. I was afraid that this time the halter would “get away” from me… and I wasn’t about to lose out this year. I made a very generous bid because in the long run the horses win! My kitty is going to enjoy sniffing Zen’s scent LOL

Dear Kathy.Like Zoe I am remembering all our fallen heroes today. The 2 minutes silence is very moving.I loved your devotional today, memories of woodland walks as a child.I enjoyed Zoe’s video and her patriotic dress.poor Marty had to go to the dokter(his spelling)a scratch got infected,Hope he gets better soon.Fubu is in another contest!I have voted.Wow Joey has over 520,000 friends did you see the hilarious video of the 90lb dog sleeping on it’s owner and the temper tantrum when they moved her!Good way to keep you warm in winter.I went on Mr No Ears page today and Helping Paws in Brighton are sending out Christmas parcels to them.Found a dog called Bodhi who lives in NYC he’s a dog with style his FB is Menswear.
Wonderful news about all the competition winners especially MaryP and Linda Moss. They WILL have a great time with Zenyatta.
It was so sad to hear Dubai lost his fight for life.Am praying for Judy such a sad time for her and all at the farm.He is free from all pain now.Hope you enjoy your day Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Zoe’s tribute was very moving. Did you notice Mr. Steve? That’s MY Steve! Hope Marty heals quickly. Wow…if there is a contest anywhere Fubu won’t be far behind! That’s wonderful that Joey’s friends have increased so dramatically. Have not seen the video yet of the 90 lb. dog. Will check it out. I’m so excited for all the winners. It would be a dream come true to get to meet the Queen. A true bucket list item, for sure! Very sad news about Dubai. Praying for Judy and everyone at the farm. We have to be comforted that he is now pain free. Have a great day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy

Dear Max.Sire De Grugy is expected to run at Cheltenham this weekend, big meeting there.Mullins is voicing concerns over the Fly’s fitness and he’s up against Jezki! The Moose is free.Sheena
Max
Sheena. I read recently that the Moose went this summer to Yorkshire for treatment on his back with Nicky Tickler. According to the release submissions to the beak, the Moose has been training well since his return to Nigel. Hope that he races once he gets to the track or we may be looking at more jail time.
Heard that the Fly may not run until the end of the month. If Annie runs on Sunday, the Fly will not show. Mullins always decides these things at the last minute. I wonder if the Fly has bitten anyone lately?
Vicki B. near Hollywood Park
Wow, Sheena & Max, the Moose is free? I guess I wasn’t paying attention enough, last time I checked, it was still “Free the Moose!” every day here. Will wonders never cease, if he is finally free! Did the old codgers finally relent, or did his fans trumpeting his cause win the day?
Max
VickiB. As JudyB would say, the Moose is loose. I’ll let Sheena explain in more detail what happened and what is going to happen – maybe. I think that Moose’s peeps petitioned the British Horseracing Authority aka the beak, and they gave in. In their decision to let him race, they kept referring to the Moose as “the gelding”. He won’t like that too much. Moosie appreciates the personal touch. He’s proud of being Moosie.
