Zenyatta recently received a visit from Australian photographer Bronwen Healy. You can see more of Bronwen’s work on her website, http://www.bronwenhealy.com.au.
Dear Kathy.Lovely devotional.Sooo disappointed Gleneagles won’t be running! It’s a lovely day there and a drying wind but they had about 10mm of rain yesterday and Aidan will not risk him.Funny thing is he hasn’t raced since Ryan has been off with injury maybe Aidan is waiting for his return… Glesni certainly fooled us all she is back this morning!!!She hadn’t been seen since Monday morning around 9am maybe she went to visit the Moose in Yorkshire! The girls are,as usual, screaming for food but Bobby bach is preening quietly on the perch. It’s been raining quite heavily here this morning.Frankie’s had a winner for Her Majesty!!I pray all goes well for your aunt and she can recover as quickly as possible. My mum fell and fractured her hip when she was about 83 and had a pin inserted.
“Sir” Geoffrey Boycott is at the festival he will be going down to Surrey for the 5th test in the ashes series tomorrow I should imagine. The blonde mafia had a great weekend away and Boo is coming out of hibernation!Yes.I saw Marty and his Teddy Mr Fibbs forgot what he was finking about!Poor Ray has lost more friends it’s been a difficult time for him.The wandering emu is back with his family his name is Monty and he has a girlfriend called Mathilda.Judy is happy she has her trailer back.Did you see the bear with his head stuck in the cat flap?Lady Cecil has just unveiled the Sir Henry Cecil gates.Henry loved York and we will never forget that day Frankel won the Juddmonte when Henry was so ill.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Just seen GH!Looks a picture.Did’nt Zenyatta look magnificent in the photos last night.SheenaXOXO
Sorry you won’t get to enjoy Gleneagles…another day. Glad to hear Glesni has reappeared. A visit with Noose sounds probable! Hopefully there will be a nice fish dinner soon for the girls and Bobby Bach. Congratulations to Her Majesty and Frankie on their win. Thank you in advance for your prayers for my aunt. I’ll let you know how everything goes! Enjoy all the upcoming races and ceremonies. So much going on with the FB furbabies. Love the names of the emus…Monty and Mathilda. So cute! I did see the shot with the bear’s head coming through the cat door. Even though the rest of his body wouldn’t fit through I would be freaking out with just that head! Loved the new pics of Zenyatta. She is so gorgeous.Have a wonderful day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Each day I check for new pics and was especially anxious for some of Zenny. Thank you so much. She just exudes character, doesn’t she? You look lovely, precious lady! To Margaret’s comments about Ziconic’s color, I watch the babies of Zenyatta’s mates and I believe Tapit’s babies come out in a wide range of colors. Of course, I know nothing about what determines the colors. Anyway, Ziconic is gorgeous as is Coz and as was our princess. Love them all!
Oh my!! Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos of Zenyatta!! She is becoming even more beautiful as time goes along and it looks like Bronwen Healy was able to capture her inner and outer beauty. As always, I am so grateful to all of Team Z for continuing to offer us this wonderful site to share in the life of Zenyatta and her family. Thank you sincerely from my heart.
WOW a shock winner in the Juddmonte the little filly Arabian Queen beats Golden Horn 50-1GH just didn’t pick up and it was a great pace too.She is a homebred by Jeff Smith.Getting my breath back slowly!Sheena.
Bai Yun in San Diego is not pregnant and neither is Lun Lun, so all our hopes rest with Mei Xiang who is currently sacked out in her den. How is your Tian Tian doing? Has her ultrasounds shown a cub yet?
Congrats to the lovely Arabian Queen. She certainly showed the boys how to get it done.
The racing gods might also have been making a statement about using a pacemaker. This is twice in less than a week that the tactic has backfired big time.
So glad I checked in to see these gorgeous pictures……Zenny looks like she has a golden glow about her……just stunning. I can see a baby bump starting too……the wait has begun!! I hope Bronwen enjoyed her visit with the Queen, she has sure met the cream of American racing while here and I hope to see more of her lovely photos.
Hope all you Zsters are well, I’m still working on issues with my daughter who is up at the Mayo clinic seeing a kidney specialist. I’m praying she won’t need surgery and can use medication instead.
Love to all and kisses to Zenny, CoZ, Zi angel Princess and my Indy.

Every once in a while, I stop and marvel at the years this blog has been going and the joys and sorrows we have shared together. Perhaps this is the hallmark of Zenyatta’s greatness that she has brought together so many people over many years in friendship and love of her, the boys and horses.
High hooves and three whinnies for news of Our Queen. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Moss, Team Zenyatta, and Team Lane’s End for making my day very special.
Bronwen, you have captured both the outer and inner beauty of Zenyatta. Thank you for the rose/golden glow about her. All Mothers have that special glow….Excitement building for baby on board!!!
Don’t know about everyone else but Queen Zenyatta, I certainly hope you will one day have a date with American Pharoah. He is ripped, talented, and very sweet, and I bet he knows how to show a lovely Queen a great time! (LOL) If I were a filly/mare, he is the sort of stallion I would like to meet. Of course, sweet Z, I have a soft place in my heart and head for girls who can run with the boys and boys who are not threatened by that!
Judy,
Don’t know how they would match up pedigree wise but our beautiful queen might want a date with the extremely handsome Texas Red. He has the blood of my beloved Alydar.
What a delight it was to see our Zenny through the lens & in company with Bronwen Healy, Australia’s prestigious photographer of thoroughbreds and thoroughbred racing.
I have been moved and inspired by Bronwen’s images since the days of the great MAKYBE DIVA and the “early days” of the internet. I discovered Bronwen in a search on “The Diva” and have been an ardent fan of her work ever since. I feel that her use of light is as brilliant as that of the painter Turner. If you haven’t seen much of Bronwen’s work, just Google her name. Her images of Street Cry, Bernie, Medaglia d’Oro and Big Brown are among the most outstanding I’ve ever seen.
And Zenny — you are blooming, sweetheart. And as someone said on FB, through Bron’s lens, Our Zenny has “turned to gold.”
Dear Tizgood.Frankie said GH was probably too fresh and used up a lot of energy but to me he looked “tired”in the stables before the race. His head was low just like Many Clouds after the grand national!!!.Dick and Arabian Queen(a proven front runner)set a great pace but GH couldn’t pick up at the end.Sticky ground maybe?Aidan was the wiser trainer in the end.I could never imagine him running in the Arc now and who knows the kind of weather we will get in October. It wasn’t one of Frankie’s best rides really.Love and hugs Sheena.Glesni is still with us!!!
Dear Sheena,
Frankie said the ground was too soft he could not get in his usual
turn of foot. GH is not a soft ground horse and Adian was the wiser,
if the last two Euro race come soft Adian many come to BC mile and meet
our monster WD. He might have to do some retraining, but Goldi did retraining
going left before she came here. We may luck out if the ground is soft. You are
right no Arc for GH. Not one of Frankie’s best rides, but he had some issues that
he could not do much about like a rank horse and soft ground.
So glad Glesni showed up today.
Love and hugs
Dear Sheena, Maybe Glesni is waiting for better weather. I’m glad she hasn’t left yet. Funny watching Brenig eating is fish today and Merin staring and screaming at him. He wasn’t about to share with his older sister. Especially, how they treated him after he barely had been hatched, the “smack down”. I’m, also, glad Adian is taking good care of GH.
Dear Tizgood, I absolutely love Wise Dan. And wasn’t Goldi superb. Two very exciting horses.
Hi zsters :)

Every computer in every building in Washington, D.C. including Capitol Hill is probably tuned in to the National Zoo Panda Cam for the duration I guarantee you! D.C. takes its panda cubs VERY seriously and treats them like mini-rock stars. The only questions left now: Boy or Girl? Twins? and Who’s the Daddy?
Well, here I go getting nervous again. Adore Beholder who’s favored In The PC according to Bloodhorse. Will be glued to the tube and yelling for her. C’mon big girl, whoop those boys!
I’m right with you FZS. Go Beholder! When I start yelling for my favorites my little dog comes a runnin’ from the other end of the house, to see I am in trouble.

Congrats to the little filly that could. Wow!

Dear Mary Margaret. Our forecast for the weekend isn’t good we have been promised damp weather for the next 4 days.It was great to see Brenig tucking in.Monty was bringing a fish in about 5.30pm I think Luckily he got away before they grabbed his legs.Glesni is close to leaving she behaved in the same way last year but only stayed away a day.Love and hugs Sheena.
Dear Sheena, We, also, expecting rain for the next five days. We really do need the rain. I do remember Glesni’s migration prep last year. Hope she waits for the bad weather to pass.
