Happy Monday!
Our first ever Zenyatta.com Celebration happened over Breeders’ Cup weekend in November 2013. Through the sales of our limited edition Celebration Sticker and the auction of Zenyatta memorabilia, we raised money for Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. The final donation totaled $12,000, and we have all of you to thank for your support and generosity!
As our Grand Prize, we picked five fans in a random drawing to win an invitation to visit Zenyatta at Lane’s End Farm. Each winner was able to travel with their friend of choice and meet Zenyatta, 13Z and receive a tour of Lane’s End. These photos by Alys Emson document their visits.
View the complete set of photos from these visits in our Zenyatta.com Celebration Photo Gallery.
Enjoy!

In the darkest day in winter color is everywhere. They are colors we do not expect to see, so we do not see them. They float on early morning clouds that lie aloft in the southern sky and hover in the crevices of hills at midday. In the evening, the western horizon is purple-all shades of purple, which the Cherokee calls gi ge s di. The last rays of sunlight color the scudding clouds with purple, rose, and lilac. The Indian loves color and is tuned in to its joy. If we are caught in moods that are drab, our eyes have little chance of seeing color. A drab view can be changed. Even now a sa go ni ge (jay) and a brilliant gi ga ge (cardinal) can stir us with their blues and reds if we have the heart to see them.
This is the most valuable thing I have ever possessed.

Beautiful pictures, what a way to start the week. Thank You Team Z. Is that Life Is Sweet behind Zenny in one of the pictures?
Barbara Wood (Texas)
I think many of us have felt at one time or another that Zenny is actually a caring, sensitive person who just happens to be in a horse’s body. I thank God for sending her to us all. She is more a friend than some people we know! Hugs to all.

Dear Sheena,
Zoe and Valentino are extremely cute. LOVE their adorable little faces! I haven’t started making homemade biscuits for The Pack, but I DO buy gourmet treats for them at Petco. Enjoy making your plans with your cousin. That really sounds wonderful! I had a great time with friends yesterday. Now back to work today! Happy Tuesday to you. Hugs from me, kisses from The Pack. Wow! Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing our Queen Zenyatta in her photos of visiting with the lucky people who won their fantastic prize of seeing her!! The photos are definitely worth so much more than words since they convey such emotion of what a grand mare Zenyatta is. Thank you, Team Z for continuing to keep her adoring fans in her life in this way – I am so grateful.

Z is amazing b/c she knows she’s a star. Her Z13 is learning the trixs of the trade.

It looks like 13Z is making sure the camera is catching the shot of him just like his mom did. He is just adorable.

That is the Tapit baby I guess. He is simply stunning. It seems the years are rolling by so quickly.
Zenyatta is just awesome looking even though she has blossomed out. I look forward to the racing of her young ones and wish them more success’s than their mom’s if possible. Looking forward to the birth of her War Front filly ( its time for a girl) or colt. Good blessings to all her youngsters. Always on the look out for Zenyatta…..
God Speed sweet one.

Frankel’s first filly makes our main news tonight. She was born on sunday and is out of a mare called Song who never raced. She’s a real cutie, very much like her famous Daddy. I wonder what the proud father thinks!!!Hugs Sheena
Max
Sheena. Happy for the new baby who is pretty and well, and happy to get his fee paid. Everyone’s a winner.

Dear Max Sam had a treble today at Leicester I think. Should be a good weekend with BB, The Fly and Annie Power is at Doncaster.Cant understand why coolmore won’t show a pic of the colt.Big Daddy won’t have to worry about child support !!!hugs Sheena
Max
Sheena. Bravo to Sammy. Hope he continues his winning streak with BB.
Frankel does not have to worry about his food supply either. His future seems secure for the time being.
From what I’ve read, Coolmore apparently no longer owns the mare and baby colt. Whoever is the new owner has said no to photos and has yet to identify him or herself as the owner. American bloodstock company brokered the sale but that does necessarily mean an American owner. Time will tell. Until then, everyone likes a good mystery.
The Moose is closing in on 3600 followers. Free the Moose! Neigh!
Max
Sheena. Was thinking about Frankel’s brother who was born at about the same time as 13Z and looked just like him, chestnut with a white blaze. Let us know if you hear any news of 13K. He was weaned about the same time as Red too.
sue and tony
Zenny’s FB likes continue to expand upward daily. She is now over 173,000 and we notice 13Z and Coz have their numbers growing, too. We think when Coz starts his racing career these numbers will just explode.
We would love these 5 lucky souls to share their unique experiences with us. Any little tidbit is very much appreciated.

I have a merchandise request.
Tee shirt with Z on the front and her Knights on the back.
El Vino and BonBon.
I think they would be a hit.
Maybe the funds can go to a rescue.

Great idea.

Dear Max Have’nt heard any more about Frankel’s full-brother since he was weaned, wonder who will get to train him??Song14 has made the front page of “The Times” not bad for a 2 day old!Sam is very excited about Saturday has been to school BB at Ditcheat Moosie will have to give him some horsey advice!!!Have heard if Frankel’s colt were to be sold would most probably make £6 milliongns maybe that’s why the owners are remaining tight-lipped.Moose is doing so well on Twitter Free him now!Hugs Sheena

Hi all; I will ask for continued prayers as Jo at the horse sanctuary has not responded to treatment to date for laminitis as the vet hoped she would. Jo will continue to receive special daily care and meds. She otherwise is a very healthy horse, I want the best for her and selfishly I do not want to lose Ltl Jo.
Thank you all and God bless, Sally B

Dear Sally B.
Praying for the sweet pony. Hope she will have a turn around.
Lots of hugs.

13Z continues to astound me. He couldn’t look more like his great, great, great grandfather, Secretariat, if he tried. He’s all muscle and legs with a big back end! You can see what Big Red looked like at the same age 13Z is now.
The Queen looks gorgeous and radiant. Motherhood suits her. And she is so gracious to her fans; she loves all the attention!

Dear Z, COZ, Red Prince and Baby Z:

Dear Z Fans:
Just watched the first episode of the new reality series, “Horseplayers” on Esquire TV. Enjoyed it very much; a lot of entertaining characters.
They showcased Stay Thirsty’s win in the 2012 Cigar Mile at Aqueduct and 2012 Breeder’s Cup wins by Zagora, Little Mike and Fort Larned and spotlighted the players and winner of the 2012 Breeder’s Cup Tournament. Looking forward to next week’s show. Think all of you might like it. Love and Hugs, JB
Ann NC
Thanks, JB. Wish I could have tuned into the show. Darn it, missed Zagora? They need to show a group of woman reviewing the form and deciding to play a horse because of the catchy name! Girl Power! Hugs!
judy berube from Rhode Island
Dear Ann:
That’s exactly what happened in one of the scenes. One gentleman’s wife picked 5 winners just by choosing their names. She didn’t make any bets. Funny, there were all the men studying the form diligently; she just looks briefly at the names and picks the winners. Love and Hugs, JB
Ann NC
Thanks, JB for the review.
Puts an entirely new spin on Woman’s Intuition!
Hugs.

Dear Judy, I am not sure we here in Wi. get that, but it sounds enjoyable. Husband is usually in control of the controls, but I will look.

Pushmataha, Chief of the Choctaws, understood our weaknesses as well as our strengths, He knew how willing we are to give in to abuse for fear of having no peace at all. Peace at any price is very familiar to the American Indian. And we know how a little success can do away with common sense-how it can remove the stops that keep us on the true path. A stable attitude can offset the extremes where we sometimes find ourselves. Good peace-to hi dv-is an inside job, a place where we cultivate the development of our own spirits before we look to our surroundings for strength and sustenance. The heart and soul that loves peace and wants others to be peaceful will never miss the mark of excellence.
Never be elated above measure by success…nor delighted with the sweets of peace to suffer insults.

Thanks for the info, Sheena. Will try to listen, will be on the edge of my seat!
Luv from, M, G and Lil M.

If The Fly wins at Leopardstown, he equals Istabraq’s record in the Irish Hurdle. Willie says that The Fly is in good shape and ready to roll. Same for Ms Annie at Doncaster. Quevega is training well for Cheltenham in March.
Ann NC
Am warning the pups now, will be cheering them on! Exciting! The pups tend to get a bit scared when Mom is jumping up and down and cheering for her horses.
All the best to them and safe trips for all!
