Dear Judy, If you have time go in and watch Race 4 on July 8, l6 from Arlington. Wonderful win by Moiety. Beautiful daughter of Bernardini. Very nice win for Godolphin.
She sure made her Papa proud I am sure.
All that love Bernardini will love this win by his daughter.
Just watched Moiety win her Maiden race at Arlington. She is a gorgeous Light Bay with black stockings. What a nice win at first asking. Thank you so much for telling me about her. You know how much I love Bernie and his babies. Love and Hugs, JB
Hello everyone! Yesterday I saw that Coz has worked out. I hope that means he’s getting ready to run. I also read just a bit ago that one of Lentenor’s foals “Macy’s Attitude a two-year old filly had won a race at Mountaineer. Its the first time I’ve heard of either Nicanor or Lentenor’s foals. I know this is Zenyatta’s site, but I was a huge follower of Barbaro as well as Zenyatta and its extremely difficult to follow his brothers Nicanor, Lentenor Margano and Pennmarydel. I was able to find out that Margano is retired and Penn is perhaps going to start a second career of some kind.
Thanks for this info on Macy’s Attitude. Congrats to her and her Daddy. Loved Barbaro too and his brothers. Hope we see COZ racing soon. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Sheena, I had something I wanted to ask. I was thinking about Goldie the other day. Is Freddy Head still training. I had missed a lot of Euro races in the last few years so just didn’t know. Have missed a lot of races that I usually watch.
Going in another direction, I watched some of Hong Kong races saturday night. OMG, there was this colt racing or should I say them trying to get him on the track. He would have made Goldship look like an Angel. Bucking, Kicking, rearing the whole time after he left his barn. Can not believe he was not scratched, but can you believe he came in 2nd. Another bad boy from Japan.
Dear Peggy.I am struggling to find news of Goldikova.Someone did post a twitter pic of her last year with a new foal but no news.I have on idea whether she is still in Ireland.Broodmares tend to get lost. That’s why I am so grateful for the Mosses and Lane’s End for so graciously sharing Zenyatta and her foals with us.Yes Freddy is still training but no news of Solow’s return yet.He went to the Weitheimer’s to recuperate.I love the bad boys too, of course, Moosie being my favourite.Hugs Sheena
Sheena I would miss your posts. Especially the info on European horses. I love it when I recognize a European horse racing here all because you informed us. I am from Kansas, not a hotbed of racing info, and I inhale any horsey news. I adore Zenyatta and was on pins and needles waiting to hear if she was in foal! I love this site and I love hearing about other race horses, too. Please stay with us!
When we do something wrong, we naturally tend to believe that there’s no use in trying to rectify our wrong. After all, we have blown it, and we may as well go ahead and give it a full head of steam. Don’t foolishly run into the fire; run from it.
As barefooted children, we often found ourselves in a bed of bullhead nettles, the most painful thorns. They grew close to the ground and spread out a soft green carpet that invited bare feet that had been in shoes all winter and were oh, so tender. Children learned quickly not to go any farther but to back out or call for help. The hurt may have been short-lived, but to keep on stepping where it was bound to hurt was pure stupidity. Adults can learn as quickly as children to stop and realize what going farther means. Learn to back out of painful situations and places of wrongdoing, and don’t be afraid to call for help.

There is a photo on the Forum under Coz that shows him in his stall. He seems to be getting some type of treatment on his back and one leg. Don’t know if this is just common practice to keep them from getting sore or what. Could be a clue as to why we haven’t seen many works or any starts. He is a wonderful looking beast.
Shirley, I went to the forum But couldn’t find the photo you were referring to. When Zenyatta was in training she received regular massages. Perhaps Coz is receiving a massage?
Shirlee, thanks for this info. Could explain why he hasn’t raced in a very long time. Hope he’s OK. He did have a 4 Furlong work this weekend at SA. I think I found the photo you referenced Shirlee. Looks like some kind of treatment on his knee? He’s such a gorgeous boy. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy. Thanks for this beautiful photo of Coz.So like his famous mum isn’t he?Hope all is well with him.Love and hugs Sheena

Judy, thank you so much for the photo of Coz. Whatever treatment he is receiving looks very interesting. Perhaps someone is familiar with this method. Whatever it is he looks very relaxed.

Judy,
Thanks for posting the photo. You all know I am hopeless when it comes to the computer. It looks as if he has some type of device on his back with little red lights on it.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Shirlee, Rosemary, Sheena and Z Fans:
Yes, COZ looks so much like Mama Z. Does appear to be some kind of therapy apparatus on his back. Hope it’s just a massage and not an injury. We all love the Princes so very much, hate to think of them being injured. Any horse for that matter, but racing is a risky business and unfortunately there are so many injuries that can happen.
Shirlee, no worries. You always let us know about the horses we care about and then I try to find what you referenced. We’re a good team. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Kathy.I love the line”the moon leaves the sky to the glittering stars”Oh,I am in tears having just seen Valegro’s routine for Rio take a look it’s on you-tube lots of latin American music. He and Charlotte are as one.I just hope the heat in Brazil won’t affect him. It’s a better day here and Ceri is close to fledging 7 weeks old today.I think the Aliems are getting closer by the minute and all the doughnuts have gone.I didn’t know rats are being used to detect TB it’s on the rise again.Mango and family have a new coach/camper gosh,I could live in one of those they are so spacious and beautiful. They had move all their stuff last night and were tired.Larry’s twitter followers are growing by the day and the most important news last night his job is secure! He needs to go to the groomers to make a good impression tomorrow after all we are only getting a new PM ,he’s getting a new owner.Call me Dave held his last cabinet meeting today and Theresa stayed behind to talk.We are all waiting to see who will be in her cabinet who will stay and who will go.You know she is very famous for her footwear!A lot want another election but she isn’t keen. After all our greatest PM Winston Churchill wasn’t elected in 1940.I doubt we’d have the stomach for more voting. We need stability now.
I could see you liked the little dog on Zoe’s page.Bless her,she lost all her pups.I hope she will find a good home soon.I saw the videos on my pompals so cute.I posted the story of Barney the cat on my FB such a lovely story and now he will have his own little plot in the cemetary he called home.Loki looks very tired these days but he is still “doing well” according to the vet.Maybe it’s because he is on a diet.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
I agree, that’s a great line! I will be sure to look at Valegro’s routine. The ospreys grow so fast, it’s astounding. Yes, they have that special beacom to draw the aliems. I worry though, the doughnuts are all gone. It was fascinating to learn about the rats’ detection capabilities. Yes, I checked more in depth that Mango and family will be living in that motorhome while their new house is being built. It looks really plush! Lots of peoples’ houses aren’t that nice! Glad to hear Larry’s job is secure! Things moved really fast installing Theresa as new PM. She sure has her work cut out for her! Absolutely you need stability now! My heart broke reading sweet Martha’s story. She needs an excellent home right away. She’s been through so much. Bless her. I asked Dr. Jill what kind of shampoo she uses on her dogs. They have the most beautiful coats! I will look for Barney’s story. Sorry Loki is looking tired, but we must hold onto the vet’s opinion that he’s doing well. Happy Tuesday to you. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Hope you are enjoying your special day! Many thanks for all the racing news and informative articles you contribute here. I always enjoy your posts and learn so much from them. Best Wishes always!
Thank you so much Marshall.
And, for the Comments yesterday. They are appreciated.
Yes, there was cake today. Beautifully decorated.

Zenny,
So excited about your new one on the way! Getting my pacing shoes warmed up! Wonder if I’ll need blue or pink shoes?? with love from one of the pacing aunties, Elizabeth
Dear Judy,
What do you think – both pacing slippers ‘golden’ – one with a pink bow and one with a blue one – maybe Zenny will have twins! Hope you have a great Thursday. with love, Elizabeth (pacing auntie in NM)
De Coronado is entered in a maiden race at the Curragh this Saturday.A I mile 4 furlong and 21 are entered. It’s the last race on the card.
Frankie Dettori is just 10 short of 3000 winners. He hopes to reach that milestone during Glorious Goodwood and we are bound to get a flying dismount!Sheena
Sheena,,
From what I have read, De Coronado is a huge guy. With that distance hope he has his sister’s big long stride. Perhaps we can get a picture of him before or after the race. Did see over on the Forum that he weighed almost 1400 pounds and only 3 years old!
If anyone can see the San Diego Union Tribune in paper form or perhaps online- huge full page ad for Opening Day at Del Mar and subsequent races. Full blown gorgeous photo of California Chrome!!!! Cannot wait to see him race at Del Mar.
Zenny, hope you and your pasture mates are having a wonderful summer day.
Dear Judy.Big day for us tomorrow a new PM.Hope you see the post about Z’s brother.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the Sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Traveller Update– So sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here. Last week was so busy that I didn’t even get to READ anything, much less post! The store was like an anthill full of angry ants running to and fro. Last week, Sun Valley hosted the annual Allen and Co. conference. It happens at this time every year, when we get to be the Number 1 terrorist target on the face of the earth—-Whoopee!! We made it safely through another year, which actually surprised me, after the attacks that have recently gone on in other places. Whew!!
Traveller is getting stronger every day and is still being faithfully attended by Barnaby. The sweet lady who owns the East Fork place told Boss Mare Sue yesterday, “he hardly ever goes outside”.No one can believe how faithful he is being about all of this.
A week from tomorrow, she will move into the tiny pasture next to the loafing shed, where she will have more freedom, and sunshine. He will be in the medium pasture adjoining the other loafing shed. They will be in their old houses, except im each others. He will have access to the automatic waterer, but, we will continue to be hauling water for her to fill her buckets. She will be there for another month, when she should be “good to go” and be back in the regular large pasture. The doctor is very pleased with her rapid rate of recovery.
When I have more time, I will have to share a very funny story about a new adventure for Barnaby. He is such a curious boy and he has found something new to explore!
So happy that Zenny is indeed expecting. May they both be blessed with safety.and joy. Love from the four of us–sweet dreams and thanks to all for your kind prayers and love. Know it has helped us all here to get through this!!
Happy news indeed! Glad Traveller is recovering nicely and that Barnaby is still his sweet, faithful self. Bless them both! Continued prayers for healing, also.
Thanks for the update on Traveller and Barnaby! I’m happy to hear she is doing so well and he is staying her faithful friend. Wishing her continued good healing!
Was just thinking that it had been quite a while since we’d had an update. So glad to hear that things are progressing well and that Barnaby has apparently found some sort of amusement. Sending best wishes to all!

Most of us fear that someone will challenge our right to be a certain way, to be able to do a certain thing. What will people think if they find out we are only ordinary human beings? What others think does not count for much. It is what we think about ourselves and what we tell ourselves that make all the difference.
Of course we are ordinary-why shouldn’t we be? What is wrong with being a good person? Who can dare suggest there is something wrong with having high values and respect for ourselves? Think well of yourself, live your life well-and let others think what they want.
If we are wounded, we go to Mother Earth…to heal us.

Congrats Team Z and sweet girl, Zenny. Sending a kiss to you, Zenny, in hopes that it lands on your beautiful soft nose…MWAH. Very special news about a precious Z17.
Wow, Z17, that sounds fast and looks fantastic. Z17….yes.
2017 will be a great year. I just know it.
Love to all.
Yet another similarity between Coz and Jess’s Dream. Both have worked out recently it seems and hopefully they will be soon be back on the track to race. Who knows? They seem to be pretty evenly matched and someday they might be in a race together.something their mom’s never did for which I for one am very glad.
They are not evenly matched. Jess’ Dream broke his maiden at first asking, CoZ has yet to beat a single horse in 2 tries.
At least Zenyatta still has opportunities to produce a winner and possibly with one of the new up and coming young stallions. Rachael Alexandra’s broodmare career is over but at least she got 2 winners in that brief span.
Dear Kathy.Jeremy Corbyn should read your devotional today for he faces a leadership challenge now.A great day in the commons with Dave’s last PMQ’s.I only look in on special occasions(my mum was an avid viewer).Even the famous Larry got a mention There were always rumours Dave wasn’t too keen on him but he showed a photo of them together. He said he was sorry he couldn’t take him but he belonged to no 10.He got applause from both sides of the House when he left and I was reminded of a standing joke between me and daddy whenever we had a disagreement(which wasn’t often)he would always say”ah,but you’ll miss me when I’m gone)I hope her Majesty is at home today.Gosh Mango has a huge coach/motorhome to live in doesn’t she?Somebody had priced them but thought of buying a plane instead. No signs of the aliems yet.Cirrus has moved into his new home with Christophe loads of photos and videos up.He looks to be settling down well and Corine will visit often.Larry’s twitter followers are rising by the hour he has over 62,000 now and he is planning to sue the Daily Mail because they said he was famously lazy and useless at catching mice.He reminded them he had outlasted all the leaders of the major parties! No signs of fledging yet but should be soon.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.Milo the cat with those horrific head injuries is improving very slowly.God bless him.
The wisdom of the Native Americans is often just what we need! Simple, poetic, right on target. A poignant day for Dave, I’m sure. It’s astounding how fast the changeover went! Mango and family must have some very deep pockets judging by that RV. AND they’re building a new home. Lucky them! I hope the aliems show up soon. The ratties will have to put it aside soon with the Conventions starting so soon. Seems like Cirrus is happy as can be. That’s great! So glad Larry’s followers are increasing. He gets the last laugh, doesn’t he? Anxiously awaiting the fledging. Praying for Milo’s recovery. I wish you a great day as well. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Cirrus des Aigles seems to be enjoying himself with the dogs in his paddock. He really is a gorgeous horse — love his coloring! Have a wonderful retirement, CDA. Glad Corine will be visiting him regularly. I think he is in a happy place.
Sheena Thanks so much for the news on Cirrus. I have been checking on his move everyday, but missed this yesterday. I wish I could understand French better, but I watched all the races YouTube has on him and I love watching them many times over. And of course, Corine. She is so fun to listen to and so enthusiastic. Thanks again Nancy
After reading Steve Haskin’s article that you posted previously regarding King Glorious, I searched for a photo of this beautiful speed horse. I found one!

Dear Shirlee.I have seen a couple of pics of De Coronado on Coolmore’s FB and he is huge.I hope all goes well for him on Saturday.Hugs Sheena

Z13Rulz

Kathy
Dear Sheena,
The wisdom of the Native Americans is often just what we need! Kathy XOXO

Praying that this pregnancy and foaling goes well. I’m sure the queen is missing having a little foal to take care of after 2 years.

Dear Judy B.,
After reading Steve Haskin’s article that you posted previously regarding King Glorious, I searched for a photo of this beautiful speed horse. I found one!

Hope it works because he was indeed gorgeous; although, not as black as I expected. Still, KG was glorious. RIP mighty King G
