Run safe beautiful Ziconic and come home safe !!
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
So excited for our beloved Ziconie! Godspeed beautiful chestnut Prince! Amen Judy…safe and sound! All best wishes for The Fly. I agree with you on the blinkers. I much prefer to see the faces, too. Maybe some of the yellow perils will die off where Hovis lives. He wouldn’t mind! I’m heartbroken for Mango and her family. And so soon after the loss of Katybug. Yes, Zoe’s therapy visit was so touching. Dolly is frequently “dolled up.” Gorgeous cat with gorgeous clothes! I’ll look for the CC in Dubai video. You’re right, he does look fantastic. Haven’t seen Milo in Scottish gear. Will look for it! It’s hard to remember how tiny Blue was. He’s turned into a gorgeous adult. Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy the weekend. GO ZICONIC! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

BREAKING reports:
Harper Lee, author of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” dies at 89.

Sad news for anyone who loves reading, learning, and civil justice.
We’ll miss you Harper Lee. #ScoutFinch

RIP Harper Lee
You gave us the wonderful gift of “To Kill a Mockingbird” which is an outstanding literary work — genius. You are with your childhood buddy, T. Capote, and the legendary Gregory Peck who brought Atticus to life so brilliantly on the silver screen. Thank you for choosing to be a writer. We are forever grateful.
Hugs

Phantom of the Opera mask. Oh boy!
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Ann,
Love the Phantom of the Opera mask reference!
So happy for Papa Paynter, Mama Dynamazed and for Grandpa Dynaformer. He really is a little cutie!
Noticed one of the remarks contained a name suggestion: “Paynt by Numbers”, nice.

Dear BGG,
Love this wonderful photo of Dynamazed and Paynter’s new colt. I remember how the Zayat’s all hung in there with Paynter a few years back, when Paynter was so sick, and he completely recovered to great health again. How exciting to see a beautiful colt from Dynamazed and Paynter! Truly ‘Amazing’! Hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks so much for posting this great news. with love, Elizabeth

Cutie pie. Such a thrill to see the Big D bloodline go on. Just hope this little guy doesn’t have grandpa’s temper.

Andrej I hope Zic listens to every one of your pieces of advice. We all want our boy to come home safe and sound. That is the most important thing to me. I am amazed though at how our baby has become . Such a gorgeous horse. Strong chest. He has always been movie star handsome. Baby Paynter is adorable.
RIP Harper Lee.

RIP Steve Willard. You will live in our hearts.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Commented on the previous blog about Steve Willard and still feeling very sad today. He was such a kind man, and I remember him trying to keep us all safe when a group descended on Barn 55 (“don’t try to touch that horse” “this one is OK” “hold the carrot like this” etc). And he was always willing to share Zenyatta stories. I’m sure that John has been missing him throughout this ordeal – he was really part of Steve’s family. Maybe Team Z will do a little retrospective here sometime soon.
Ann NC
RIP, Steve.
Thanks for sharing Sandy. So sweet and kind of him to lead the tour and offer helpful advise. Feeding treats 101…precious.
The horse world was blessed to have had him and you were fortunate to have met him, Sandy.

Just read about Steve Willard on Bloodhorse. Rest in peace. It was so touching to read about the Mosses concern, how they got him the best care, and that both the Mosses and Shireffs stood by him. great friends.

Just chekcing in. Sad news about Steve Willard he was so much a part of the Zenyatta story for us all. A true horseman and very kind man, so glad the Mosses stood by him till the end. He will be missed.
Exciting news about the big day for Ziconic, so sorry to hear Mike won’t be riding him for his debut. Fortunately Gary is also one of the best. Safe trip to Zi and Gary and hope he runs well.,

Well, what do you know. They finally answered the question of what happened in the paddock accident that took Z Princess.
“She was with other young horses playing and running around when one crashed into her and broke her back.”
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Z13rulz.Although sad to hear.At last she can rest in peace now.She was happy when she left this world playing with her friends.RIP sweet PrinZess. We may never find out what happened to our Kauto sadlyLove and hugs Sheena

You mean now you have peace of mind.
She has always rest in peace.
Max
Z13 is right. Team Z looked after her and she was laid to her rest by those who were closest to her. I like to think that she’s been at peace all of this time, and our knowing this sad detail of her untimely passing doesn’t change that. Let’s hope that she shines her face on her dear chestnut brother and he comes home safely and a winner. Kick butt, Ziconic.

Dear Max
Thank you for the link,
is great to know what happen to our Z Princess.

Thanks, Max!
This is a really great article, and I enjoyed reading John Shirreffs’ descriptions of Coz, Zi and Zenny, as well as the comments by the farm manager, Todd Claunch, about dear little Z Princess. It was also good to read the observations of Jerry Moss who is very wise and sensible.

Thank you for sharing this article. I am reminded once again just how fragile our beloved TBs are. I had envisioned some freak accident had befallen our beautiful Princess and now we know what it was. Catastrophic injury.
It’s a great article and informative on the personalities of COZ and ZI. Thanks for sharing. Love and Hugs, JB

February 20 Cherokee Devotional
Most of us don’t like to wait. Waiting is difficult, but sometimes if we do wait, the result can be wonderful. If we simply wait without imagining or expecting or hoping, we are just spending, or wasting, time. But if we wait while imagining success and seeing our hopes being realized, that kind of waiting is a good use of time. During that time, we can decide what we want and then give thanks, joy, and praise to the heavens. We must wait expectantly-anticipation that we will be given that for which we wait. The success of waiting is in our power-we must use it wisely.
We will wait a little while and see what effect your preaching has upon [our neighbors] and if it makes them good, we will consider what you are telling us.
