Dear Judy.Patiently waiting for the classic. Two wonderful days of racing and such beautiful weather It’s very cold here tonight.
Someone I know has a friend going to Tattersalls on the day of the sale. She said American Breeders showed no interest in Ebby when she was up for sale a few years ago.It all depends who is there on the day.I am sure she will get a good home though.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

Dear Sheena:
Yes, hoping Ebby finds a loving, caring home. Exciting Classic. If Chromie had to lose, I’m happy it was to Mikey and Arrogate. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Z Fans:
Wow, wow, wow! Hats off to Mikey and Arrogate. What a race. Congrats to them. Mikey rode him perfectly. A’s only three years old and pray God he stays healthy.
Chromie, I absolutely love you. You always give your all; you’re The Best. Love and Hugs, JB
debbie sutherland
Oh Chrome, I was jumping up and down and my dogs thought I was going nuts, I wanted you to win so badly. Victor kept looking back and I was hoping he would ask you to go a little sooner. You are still my champ. Congratulations to Arrowgate and Mike, a great race for both horses.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Debbie,
My dogs thought I was unhinged, too! I was up yelling go, go, go and then no, no, no. Poor Bailey and Smudge were wondering what in the world is wrong with Mama! Poor babies. I am disappointed, but CC is still tops in my book. I see that Keen Ice and Effinex finished well. My second favorite, Frosted, finished 6th, I think. I feel the same as when the Belmont Stakes is won by a newcomer squelching hopes of a Triple Crown, but it was a great race, and I’ll get over it. Chrome still ROCKS
Congrats to the winners!
Hugs and Love
debbie sutherland
oops,correction, Arrogate
Fantastic race, will look forward to more next year!
Chromie,love you!
Marshall (NC Broad)
Some days you win, some days you lose and some get rained out.
California Chrome, you are still great and are still a winner! I am rather bummed out since I was pulling for Chrome and VE or my second pick was Frosted. Happy that all seemed to be okay at the finish.
Congrats to Arrogate and all connections. Mike Smith now has won 25 BC races!
Hugs to all
sheena.davies(wales)
Oh I am so sad for Chrome!Cannot find the words tonight but congratulations to Arrogate and Mike.Have seen so many close finishes these past couple of days,
Max
We all can be grateful that we saw a magnificent display of talent from the entire group of fine race horses in the Classic.
Arrogate in particular is a tribute to his departed sire, Unbridled’s Song. It was a courageous and triumphal win for grays everywhere. Chrome will be back in the Pegasus.
sheena.davies(wales)
I thought Seamie ran a blinder on Highland Reel.A few thought his win at Ascot back in the summer was a fluke. It has indeed been a wonderful two days racing.Chrome will be off to the breeding shed after the Pegasus.I am not sure about Tepin’s plans Mark said she may visit Dubai next year.He thoroughly enjoyed the visit to RA this year but was sad he didn’t get to meet Her Majesty.
Faithful Zenyatta Supporter
Well well, that come from behind kick reminds us of you know who. Yes, some of Zenny’s wins were that close. Arrogate is big like her and a late bloomer too. Fun race to watch.
Barbara Brayton
Bummer! I so wanted Chrome to win. He ran a great race.
debbie sutherland
Dear Marshall
My dogs have recovered but I haven’t. I was rooting for Chrome and Frosted was my pick for second too (though I knew Arrogate was going to try to catch our chestnut)
Chromie is still a winner in my books too and not diminished abit in defeat today.
Frosted, you will always be one of my favourites.
Congratulations again to Mike and Arrogate, but you have so many years to do this I do wish it had been a little different today. Oops, now back to being gracious.
You ran an amazing race Arrogate, know we will have lots of thrills next year.
debbie sutherland
Awww, it is a bummer. I wanted Chromie to win so much and he almost had it.
sheena.davies(wales)
Arrogate the champ.

Max you are right.
It was a fantastic race with a great group of talented TB’s who gave their all and made our hearts beat a little faster watching in awe. Happy they all came home safe.
Kathy
Sorry for Chromie, but he ran a great race. Congratulations, Arrogate.

November 6 Cherokee Devotional
We all handle hundreds of decisions every day-dress or pants, cereal or pancakes, coffee or tea, this project or that, shopping or banking, park here or there, and so on. If we really knew how many decisions and details we attend to each day, we’d be overwhelmed. Sometimes we’re overwhelmed even without knowing the exact number! But few decisions are more important than this one: what words we use with those around us. Even on our busiest day,we can find time to say, “Great job!:, “What a lovely dress!”, “Thank you!”, and most important of all, “I love you!” Remember to keep life and love at the top of the list of decisions you have to make each day. You’ll be happier, and others will be too.

Dear Sheena,
Happy Sunday! I felt so bad yesterday for Chromie. He really ran his heart out. Such a great horse. But congratulations to Arrogate. Very exciting come from behind run. Certainly reminds us of Zenny’s races! We turned our clocks back last night. I hope the ratties’ clocks still run…they poured trabel juice on them! I hope you have a blessed Sabbath. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.I am glad you remembered to put trabel juice in your clock! We had plenty of fireworks going off last night.I was envious of the beautiful weather in SA given our cold but it remains pretty dry.Mother Theresa is on her way to India on a trade mission busy lady.Everyone thought CC would win last night but as we all know there is no certainty in racing.Arrogate was a fine winner for Mike and Juddmonte. The fund me page for Freddy Tylicki has reached an amazing £153,000!I made a small donation last night. In her 21runs Found was only out of the frame once.An wonderful filly!Have a blessed Sabbath.Love and hugs to you Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

Dear Sheena,
Thanks for posting this link. What a wonderful story and what an absolutely stunning, magnificent wolf Romeo was. That close-up of him is exquisite.
So nice of the people to erect a plaque in his memory. Sad that someone apparently shot him after 6 years though. Leave it to the human animal to ruin something beautiful. :-(
RIP Romeo

RIP Avant Tout who has euthanised after a deep laceration to his off-fore tendon in a race at Naas this afternoon.Paul Townend puled the leading Hennessy contender after the first fence and he taken to the clinic where vets confirmed the sad news.Much sympathy to Willie and his team.
Max
Very sorry to hear this. Avant Tout had a lot of potential as a race horse. Tough on Mullins and company to lose him. They treat their horses like family and know each one individually.
sheena.davies(wales)
The short guy has strained a muscle in his back while riding Westerner Lady at Cork.I had hoped to see Avant Tout at Newbury.Very sad for Mullins.
Max
He was only 6. Very sad outcome for this talented member of the chestnut club. His yard name was Ernie. RIP brave fellow.

The Irish rugby team are celebrating a historic win yesterday against the All Blacks in Chicago ending a 111 yr drought. They won 40-29.Irish eyes are smiling!Well done boys. The All Blacks are in deep mourning.

Sheena. Just read that Vautour has been euthanized after a freak accident on the gallops. This is a black day for jump racing and for Mullins. This fellow was a star for the Riccis. Only 7. Very sad situation.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Sheena and Max:
RIP Vautour and Avant Tout. So young; so very sad. Sad for Mr. Mullins and staff too. Love and Hugs, JB
Max
Mullins was interviewed by the Racing Post and said that there was some sort of freak accident in the paddocks which resulted in a broken leg. It was not on the gallops. The horses were turned out for the day. The girl who feeds Vautour found him in trouble and they called in his vet. The other horse Shaneshill, one of the three hill brothers, was with him and was just grazing peacefully. This is a sad reminder that a horse is at risk just like the rest of us anywhere and at any time. Mullins is very upset by this death and Ernie passing on the same day. They loved these beauties. Shorty even came out and said that he loved Vautour. Bleak Sunday at Closutton and for Irish racing.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
We know all to well how unexpected, unpredictable freak accidents can take our beloved TBs from us. Our beloved Princess and too many others have been lost in sad paddock accidents and training incidents.
Our hearts go out to Mr. Mullins and other owners and trainers and to all of the horses we love and have lost. We mourn with them and we will never forget these Beauties that have left us way too soon. They were and will always be, well loved. Love and Hugs, JB
Marshall (NC Broad)
RIP Vautour and Avant Tout
Much too young, so sad.
Hugs and Love

Now I am back on my PC and just heard the dreadful news about Vautour,Such a horrible day for Willie. One of the girls found him when she went to feed him.He was in the paddock with Shaneshill. They have no idea what happened.I am heartbroken for Willie and his team today. To lose such beautiful horses in one day beggars belief.RIP darling boy.You were a star.
Max
Willie gives his horses the best of care. He even lets them bite him with good grace. It is a sad day when they are taken away like this.

Mike Smith also rode Arrogate’s father, Unbridled’s Song, to a Breeders Cup Juvenile win in 1995. Arrogate looks like his dad. A’s grandfather, Unbridled, won the 1990 BC Classic. This is one a great sire line. Distaff is also formidable. Mom was a winning racer too.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
Mikey said, after the Travers, something to the effect that it was great to win with Arrogate as he had also ridden and won with A’s Dad, Unbridled’s Song.
A’s Dam, Bubbler, has a great racing record; 9 starts: 6 wins and 1 third and earned $211,622. Her Dam, Grechelle, is a daughter of Deputy Minister. Love and Hugs, JB
Max
The Deputy Minister line produces some nice horses with lots of character, as you know!
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
Yes, indeed and the “character” that we know and love is rearranging tails again. He stopped for a while, but when I visited last week, Angela told me he’s back at it and she has a mutiny on her hands with furious boarders who don’t care for his handiwork.
“Charlie Brown”; he’s so misunderstood! Love and Hugs, JB

thank Judy, spare tall warm good kind Avant Tout and Vautour :-( :-( , very sad to me, this time two chasers :-( :-( , Frosted :-) 6th , Frosted :-) i like that you didnt increase speed after second turn like in your earlyer style before dubai, this is more usefull for your air health and legs :-) , Frosted dubai world cup is far, will be need second time to fly on air horse one :-) , grade one races, dubai world cup, melbourne cup simply take health of horses and dont give back, remember Dullahan in second pacific classic and Verema ( France ) in melbourne cup :-( :-( , Frosted :-) in your age comparatively light distance that your health can to pull lightly is near one mile, better have good long rest, sleep in deep soft straw like you like :-) , slowly drink clean not cold water, eat green light hay apples pears, walk on air with groom, care of neck back legs hooves health, be full healthy and well rested, come on course only if you want lil to breeze quickly,, in home,, Frosted :-) i like photo of your soft nose where you look like camel :-) :-)
