Dear Z Fans:
This is an article from Off Track Thoroughbreds. Both Rubicon and Three Angels performed beautifully today, as did the rest of the TBs listed in the article. Was so wonderful to see them adopted to loving homes and enjoying their new jobs. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Judy B.,
Thanks for this link. Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation is a favorite charity of mine. So happy to know that their Equine Affaire went off so successfully.
Rubicon and Three Angels are beautiful! I am so glad they got another chance and that TRF also has the Second Chances program for prison inmates, too. It is a winning combination!
Hugs and Love
P.S. How did Hudson and Amanda do in their competition?
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Judy B.,
I just read the preceding page where you reported on Hudson and Amanda.
Congratulations to Amanda and “Diva” Hudson!!

November 14 Cherokee Devotional
When a name or a word we want to recall does not come, it is so easy to throw up or hands and say we can’t remember anything. Saying those words will help us forget because we keep reminding ourselves all the time. The traditional Cherokees had no problem with memory. It was their duty to remember what had happened so they could carry it on down the line to those who did not know. Sometimes these persons were called the storytellers, because they kept records in their brain that were no longer written anywhere else.
Though today there may be electronic equipment to record all these facts, what if we are required to relate what we have collected but we have no electricity? Send for the one who has practiced remembering. This person may color the picture with certain tints and shades, but the facts are there. Time was given to seeing, sensing, tasting, and hearing. A wealth of wisdom can be tapped if we know where to look-and how to hear.
Take only memories, leave nothing but footprints.

Dear Kathy.Sometimes I do wonder how we coped without all this technology but we did.We could never take our phones out with us but we managed quite well. It’s a very dull mild day over here but turning colder over the weekend.Yesterday was not a day to be a racing fan no sooner had the Sprinter retired Simonsig died.He was best buddies with Triolo d’Alene and Nicky said they would both be crying.Go on the RP website Alastair has written a wonderful tribute to SS calling him the James Bond of racing shaken not stirred.A very emotional remembrance sunday. We do have a week of commemorations over here not only the two minute silence.Mother Theresa looked lovely yesterday Call me Dave must have been thinking back to last year!As for Corbyn they thought Steptoe had returned. Some wondered how Charles had got all those medals and someone said because he learned to tie his shoelaces by the time he was 35!!! Hovis is back in his field Karen was bursting with pride but trust the PC to be out complaining Geoff wasn’t wearing a hat I them he was an adult and it was his choice who on earth could fall off Hovis and Karen told me her several times and put a smiley face up! Can’t wait for his news on Friday.Percy Pigeon has had a song written for him now and Felix has nearly 90,000 followers now!Larry will soon have 98000 soon he’s having a ball with your election,Don’t forget to take your blankie and pillow to work and have a nap!The Lord Mayor’s banquet tonight and Gladstone’s boss big Phil gives a speech.Have a great Monday.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXOStill no news from Fubu.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
When people started taking their phones everywhere with them I remember being amused. It seemed so pretentious that one would think they were so important that they had to keep their phone in their hand at all times. Now it is so commonplace. Yes, I saw your post about Simonsig. What a beautiful boy. RIP. I will look up Alastair’s tribute. I know all the commemorations are very heartfelt. Funny bit about Charles’ medals! I really enjoyed all the pics of Hovis. I would love to see him in person some day. Yes, I too look forward to his remarks on Friday. Congratulations, Percy, on your song! And congratulations to Felix and Larry! Yes, I will take my blankie and pillow to work. Thank you, President Fibbs! Enjoy the coverage on the banquet and speech tonight! Happy Monday, remember to turtle. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Mullins will train Chelkar for the Aga Khan stud.Harold Kirk signed for €160,.000.
Max
According to Racing Post, Mullins purchased Chelkar from the Aga Khan. It’s not clear who the new owner is.
Looks however as if McManus was at the sale in France to make his own purchases for the first time.
sheena.davies(wales)
I do apologise for the error.Hope Chelkar will have good owners.
Max
No need to apolipgize. That article was difficult to read. It would be nice if Mullins could train for the Aga Khan. Might be wrong but I think that the Aga Khan doesn’t have jump horses although he might have had some show jumpers.
sheena.davies(wales)
Mullins is busy shopping today just got a lovely grey 3yr old Makitorix for€115.000.

Sit quietly. Close your mouth and open your eyes. Be aware of everything going on around you. Hear the sounds, what are the colors? After a few seconds, everything becomes clearer. You are paying attention, which is important. It keeps a person out of the rumble of things, and the danger of saying the wrong things or talking too much is jerked out of the way like a wrinkled towel that snaps when you shake it so that it folds smoothly.
We must pay attention. If our mental and physical posture is in a slump, so are we. The Spirit cannot talk to us if we are not aware. But if we pay attention, if we really hear, some of the loveliest words, some of the most beautiful music seems to come out of nowhere to set us on a new path.
We thank the Great Spirit that all these wrongs now cease.
-Satank, Kiowa
sheena.davies(wales)
Der Kathy.I alway pay attention! My God some peeps do get my nerves arguing over the size of the super moon on Felix’s page!We had no hope of getting to see it in Wales with all the cloud and rain.Felix is only 34 short of 90,000.Was’nt mother Theresa glamourous last night?Showing a lot of leg too.I know a lot don’t care for tradition anymore but I love it.I cannot wait for her to meet Donald.Julian Assange’s cat stole the show yesterday with an array of different ties.Larry calls him kitileaks.Poor President Fibbs his hat has broken looked as if he nibbled the strap! We cannot have a President without a hat.Zoe’s friend is going to the toofie dogtor and she left a lot of her toofies there last time.I can sympathise.Boo had a slight accident on the carpet tile.Good idea to have tiles with doggies in the house.
Tremendous news from the jockey club they are going to commission a trophy for the Triple chase crown which our beloved Kauto won 10yrs ago the only horse to do so.There’s a lovely video of Paul and the short guy talking about him on RP website have also shared on my FB.I will be remembering his comeback exactly 5yrs ago this Saturday.I was dreadfully nervous before the race but determined to enjoy.By the end I was hysterical!! Richard Johnson hopes he can ride Coneygree this weekend if commitments allow. He has been to school him.Ray has lost a few more friends this week they lovely weather to see the moon. There was a wonderful couple called Basil and Mdge on our “Strictly”results show sunday they met during the war 73yrs ago and have been married for 68ys,They were in the audience.I am still suffering from Poldark withdrawal.Imagine we have to wait another year to see him!Hope you have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.Manthlet on a Disney cruise and Richard is in Eygpt on holidays he has only just returned from Spain!

Sad to hear this news about the bald eagle RIP.
http://www.facebook.com/thvjoey/
Marshall (NC Broad)
This is sad news, but at least they tried very hard to save him. Bless the rescuers and the veterinary staff. RIP Noble spirit, soaring in the heavens again.
Thank you for the update, Sheena.
Hugs and Love
Max
According to the Orlando media, the bald eagle who died was a female who had succumbed to injuries from a lost territorial fight with another female bald eagle. The vets say that the bald eagle who was hovering over the injured eagle in the drain and who then flew off when help arrived was the downed bird’s attacker. One can also tell this because both eagles were large. Male bald eagles are smaller in size. Do not mess about with female bald eagles.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Sheena and Marshall:
Noble spirit indeed. RIP Love and Hugs, JB

November 16 Cherokee Devotional
When things are bad, we’re sure that what we are going through is the worst that anyone has ever experienced. Know that others have stood in this place, others have gone through what we’re going through, and they made it free and clear.
The day will come when we can look back and ask ourselves, “What did this bramble bush of difficulty teach us?” The first thing is not to wait so long to take care of a problem, but the best thing is to be grateful and to say we are healed-even before the we see proof that a healing has taken place and a stone has been lifted from our shoulders. Hope and faith can change difficulty in a way we can hardly believe. But as we look back on what happened in our lives, we see proof of this-and there are not enough words to say how wonderful it is.
The old Indian teaching was that it is wrong to tear loose from its place on the earth anything that may be growing there. It may be cut off, but it should not be uprooted. Trees and the grass have spirits.
-Wooden Leg, Cheyenne
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.I think like Wooden Leg I hate to see trees cut down I can feel their pain.I posted a lovely tribute to Valegro on my FB I was in tears.I am always very animated watching horseracing I feel sad when one of my favourites loses of course but I can never watch blueberry without crying.I think I also shared a video of Eventer Lucinda Green riding Sprinter Sacre at Seven Barrows you will get to see the beautiful Berkshire countryside. She said he had the sweetest temperament in the stables but was a monster on the gallops.Mullins looks to have another good mare and in the ‘Fly’ colours too.Paddy Brennan has just celebrated his 1000th winner at Warwick.Freddy Tylicki is out of ICU and on a general spinal ward now.I only caught a bit of PMQ’s today Mother Theresa was in grey/white.Lilly only left one toofie at the dogter yesterday but is on aunty-bi-otics for a ear infection and they are making her sleepy Her mum is having root canal today!!!!I hadn’t been on Venus’s page for ages she has her own website now and well over million friends.I heard about the wildfires affecting Georgia and the Carolinas last night and your temps are still high. The last mild day for us I had to turn one of my heaters off last night.I donated to Joey’s playroom yesterday if only everyone gave a $1.Sir Terry Wogan was honoured by the renaming of Western House to Wogan House today.A fitting tribute.Larry has made it to 98,000!I have checked Felix yet.Lady Aurelia is none the worse after her bleed and may even return to RA next year. She has had a good rest.I think you Sally B and me would have great fun in jail together terrific cell mates.Firearms offences you naughty girl!Zoe enjoyed shopping yesterday Go Nobby!!! Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Max
Asthuria seems to be racing for George Creighton only. Rose Boyd is not mentioned as an owner. Glad to see a win for this horse and Mullins. It’s been tough lately.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I will check out all your posts. Will love seeing the Berkshire countryside. Wow, Lilly lucked out only having to have one tooth extracted. Her poor Mum…a root canal! I’ve never had one but it sounds absolutely horrible! Always hate to hear of wildfires. Hope everyone in GA and SC stay safe. I got a good laugh out of the cell mates post. Interesting that I got the longest sentence! I love seeing Zoe and Widget together. Cutie pies! I’m off today. Since Veteran’s Day fell on I day I was normally off they had to give me a comp day. I hope you have a lovely Hump Day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
