Dear Kathy.A cold day over here but exciting races keeping me warm. It’s a war of attrition at Haydock I pray all horses stay safe. It’s just like saying Hello to old friends today and Kauto was remembered for his 4 betfair wins especially his comeback in 2011.Coneygree looks fabulous.Mullins has had a winner in Punchestown.
A great night for “Children in Need”raising £46 million Sir Terry had presented the programme for 35 yrs and all were remembering him last night.Marty has many new friend since Fibbs became President.More sad stories on Viktor’s page Poor Zeus has been badly beaten and is being treated for leishmaniasis. There was a story about Magnus a lion cub who was fed so poorly so he could still look cute and cuddly! his esophagus narrowed but now he is living in a sanctuary and enjoying life.
I read some more about the child who has been cryogentically preserved the parents separated soon after she was born and her father hasn’t been allowed to see her since 2007 and wasn’t even allowed to visit before she died.No matter what difficulties the parents went through never ever involve your child. The grandparents paid for the treatment?A very sad affair .The parade is taking part now.Oh,I am getting nervous!Mother Theresa was out in Germany yesterday with President Obama and Angela Merkel.I think the President is lunching with Her Majesty at Windsor.Going to watch the race now.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.I messaged Cheryl last night. They’re off!!!
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Enjoy all the great races and have a wonderful weekend! Prayers for all those who need a healing touch, both human and furbabies. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Dear Max:
This is just the cutest! Thanks for sharing.
I love Gator’s “training” philosophy”; keep ’em happy and healthy. Enough said! Love and Hugs, JB
Max
Ann and JudyB. I’m particularly fond of Gator’s tie. Horses on it. That cat has style. My bet is that he heads to Florida along with the Woodbine horses who go south for the winter. They first found him at Calder.
Ann NC
Too Cute! Handicatter! I love that tie. Just told my new resident cat not to get any ideas. Ties for cats…who knew! Thanks for sharing this sweet treat.
Max
I’m not really interested in cats, unless they are lions, tigers or panthers. I posted these stories because the cats are “working” with horses. Every racing barn seems to have cats in residence because they get along well with horses. We also cannot forget the friendship between the great racing mare, Kincsem, and her cat.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Max:
There’s a barn cat at Angela’s farm too. Most of the horses love him. Not sure how Frank feels about him. Love and Hugs, JB

November 19 Cherokee Devotional
Anyone who has ever woven a basket, pieced a quilt, or painted a picture knows how satisfying it is to mix the colors and fibers and textures. One or two shapes or colors may not make a picture, but as more are added each day, more of the design is revealed.
Events are woven into life the same way. Some of the strands may be weak and some of the fibers seem colorless. There may be no real design, and we may find ourselves working with drab and unattractive pieces. Limited vision discourages us and makes us think we have not done one exciting thing.
Given time, we find the quiet tones of life, the times that seemed colorless are suddenly important and worth recalling. Excitement is a minor feature on the face of existence and is not the most important part of real living. But if we gather all that we have experienced in life, we will make a serviceable quilt and paint a picture of contentment. In short, we will make a good life.
I am the man that makes it rain.

Dear Judy.A fantastic day’s racing over here.
Such sad news from Aleppo the cat man’s sanctuary has been hit several cats have been killed and Hope the doggie mascot. They will have to move now.He was an electrician and ambulance driver but stayed to look after the stray cats.A little girl left her cat with him while she and her family travelled to Turkey and the poor cat was killed. It is always the innocent who suffer in war.
Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and al the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

I say the following with all due respect and ask that you recall that I’ve often spoken up in support of your comments even when they are not Zenyatta related.
I would ask that you start to consider some discretion in what you choose to share on this site when it comes to reporting atrocities towards animals that many of us can’t do anything about. While I understand that these atrocities occur and I in now way mean to put my head in the sand about it, I do come to this site specifically to find uplifting moments to help offset the cruelty of reality around me.
Things like Kathy’s daily Cherokee Devotional, Max’s news of what’s going on with racing over on your side of the pond, your own love for some of the retired warriors on your side of the pond. These are things I do want to read about, and even though they are not Zenyatta specific or even horse specific, they fit with the positive and soul soothing tone of this website.
Having to read about dead cats when there is nothing any of us can do to help the situation except feel the pain of war we cannot stop is just … jarring. When I am prepared to read about that sort of thing, I can access any news site on my browser and step into that cruel reality. When I open this website I seek to try to remind myself that for all the cruelty in the world, there are still pockets of hope, love and joy.
You post a lot of a good things that support that tone and again, even if I haven’t always read every post of yours, I’ve always taken up for your right to speak on topics that fit the spirit of this site, if not the specific subject. So I ask, as a friend, please … just stop and consider some of the sadness you post about as well. If you decide to continue, I’m going to have to strike this site off my ‘to visit’ list, and I’d genuinely hate to have to do that.
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Z13rulz.I am sorry you find some of my posts offensive and upsetting.Sadly it is the world we live in these days and we cannot avoid it in this technological age.But of course I shall refrain from posting anymore upsetting messages on here and continue with “happy” news. With love Sheena

Curious, I watched a bird perched in the top of an oak tree that has only a smattering of leaves remaining. The bird sat very still. It seemed to turn its head so that its beak showed plainly. It should have moved more than it did because only an owl would sit that still, and it was too small to be an owl. I watched at intervals but nothing changed. A large number of blackbirds flew over and some of them landed in the tree. Was it a blue jay? Any other bird would have flown, but it did not. After awhile, I realized it was not a bird at all, no matter how much it had looked to be.
How many times have we judged something to be a certain way? Very often, things are not as they appear. We can be so sure and insist on what we think is real, and it isn’t real at all. Our sight and our insight are tangled and we make a judgment that has no substance. How can any of us have accurate vision without the Spirit to guide us?
When I make peace, it is a long and lasting one-there is no end to it.

Nichols Canyon wins back-to-back Morgiana hurdles in the fog at Punchestown with Shorty on board.Hugs.
Max
Happy for the horse and Mullins. This horse is a grandson of Montjeu. He’s named after Nichols Canyon in LA.
sheena.davies(wales)
Thanks for the info about his name.Very foggy at Punchestown today the words ‘probably’ and ‘presuming’ were used a lot.
Max
It was a small but highly qualified field of racers Glad that NC was able to win in a decisive way. Makes his win last year against Faugheen understandable. Mullins says that NC likes the soft ground. He is also jumping better, as before he was jumping to the right. Now he’s straight on. Apparently fog is no problem either.

Have you ever said you felt “foggy-headed”? Just like the morning fog that blurs the edges of the barn, the woods, the animals as we look out our window, mental fog hides the fine edges and full color of our lives. But just as the sunlight and warmth remove the haze that clouds the morning, it is the light and warmth of the Spirit that breaks through our fog and reveals the splendor of all. Then we hear the joyous music of life and it lifts us out of our lethargy.
The riches we have we cannot take with us.

Dear Kathy.I cannot be happy today. It’s Monday, cold, wet and windy.Floods in places too.I am busy turtling in my sock. The ratties have made a lot of new friends since a photo went biral. Her Majesty should really consider inbiting President Fibbs over here instead of the Donald,I can imagine Fibbs riding up the Mall in a coach acknowledging the crowds.I hadn’t realised Mango’s campground is in Arizona are they moving states again?Such a busy time for them.Boo has a mean look today if that is possible. So happy to see Mouse looking better.I sent you a photo of Manthlet enjoying herself in the Bahamas and Richard is in Hurghada(sp) brown as a berry.Have you seen Hovis’s new cover photo? The annual Clydesdale race took place at Exeter on Saturday Midge won with Noel Fehily riding.Karen is looking for someone to help her train for the Wobbleberry challenge. She needs no help really riding the big guy!Thistlecrack is back this Saturday I hope he won’t hurdle his fences again.Chasing comes so naturally to some horses such as SS.I am getting really worried about Fubu and Kimberly still no word over 3 months now.Ray and Cheryl were overjoyed to see Brian waiting for them on Friday when they returned from the hospital.Max is running around the clinic now.A joy to see.Remember to turtle.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
We are getting a few drops of rain here, too! As you say, a good day for turtling. I agree with you that perhaps Her Majesty would get a kick out of getting to know Fibbs better. Gee, I don’t know where Mango and family are moving. We’ll have to stay tuned. Very enjoyable pic of Boo and Bluebeary. Two cuties! Mouse looks really good. I sure enjoyed the videos that Dr. Jill posted yesterday. Thank you for posting Manthlet’s photo! Haven’t seen Hovis’ new cover photo. Will go look at it. Best wishes to all horses and jockeys taking part at Thistlecrack. I, too, am very worried about Fubu and Kimberly. Can’t imagine what has happened. We need closure! I’m so glad Brian came to visit Ray and Cheryl. It must be very hard to have your kids living far away, especially when you are experiencing health challenges. So glad Max is doing well! I will be turtling a lot today. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
