Hello fans,

It’s the beginning of an exciting month on Zenyatta.com! We’re in the midst of preparations for our third annual Zenyatta.com Celebration. Mark your calendars for Breeders’ Cup Weekend. Details will be announced throughout the month.

Leading up to this event we’ll be remembering important dates in Zenyatta’s career. The first is October 2, 2010. Five years ago today Zenyatta scored her 19th consecutive win with her victory in the Lady’s Secret Stakes at Hollywood Park. Watch the race again here and head over to the career section for more details about this milestone in Zenyatta’s life.

Enjoy!

American Pharoah Remains On Top Of World’s Best Racehorse Rankings
The Paulick Report by Edited Press Release 10.08.2015
Although both Golden Horn (GB) [130] and Treve (FR) [126] posted impressive victories over the course of the past month, neither was able to displace American Pharoah (USA) [131] from the top of the eighth edition of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings for 2015.
In the span of three weeks, Golden Horn was victorious in the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes (G1) and Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1), and remains rated at his previously achieved 130. The talented 3-year-old colt will retire to stud at the end of year, however, owner Anthony Oppenheimer indicated Golden Horn is under serious consideration for the upcoming Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1).

    October 9 Cherokee Devotional

Never take on more than is yours to handle. When you are a caretaker by nature, it can appear that the whole world rests on your shoulders. Some of it does, of course, because no one is without responsibility. But when you begin to think you have to do it all, it is time to back off and reassess your position.
Life is a matter of give and take-and if you try to do all the giving, someone is going to get the idea they don’t have to do anything. The only way they can receive is to give first. And if someone else does all the giving, there’s something amiss-and it may be you.

Our patience…is exhausted, and we are discouraged from persevering any longer.

Speaking of furbabies, Bei Bei a.k.a. Tank Xiang-Tian had an exam. Boy, has he changed since the last vet visit! The videos are up on both You Tube and the NZ Facebook page. He has officially reached the “excruciatingly, painfully cute” stage now that his eyes are open! He is so adorable and such a little fussbudget! I don’t know how Mei manages to keep her famous serenity intact when he starts crying, but she does somehow. Today I think she’d had it with him being cranky in her arms, so she put him on the floor to calm him down. Boy, can he move in a straight line when he’s angry! DoxiePanda has a video of the entire episode up on both YT and FB. Bei Bei did manage to calm down and go to sleep while Mei watched him. Then she went out to get her treats!

I am confused about those rankings. Why is Shared Belief on the list and not Beholder? Doesn’t AP’s story deserve a movie? Can’t wait until Breeders Cup. My brother got a nanny goat! When he was little he had a little goat. Hateful beast. Abby, her name is Abby, doesn’t smell bad which surprised me. She chewed through her rope which didn’t surprise me. I’m not milking a goat.

If you argue with stupid reasoning you end up being stupid. Expressing an opinion can run you out of bounds and into areas that are not yours to argue. And no one has any business matching wits with someone who hasn’t a notion of honor.
Consider what good can possibly come from a heated debate with someone who is in it for the argument alone. When there is noise and insult, the reason is weak. Someone said ignorance is behind every argument-but let’s not let it be ours.
