Dear Fans,
Today we celebrate what would have been our filly’s first birthday by remembering the joy that she brought to the world. We created a memorial page for Z Princess with a collection of images, videos and memories from those who loved her.
This page will always be here on Zenyatta.com in celebration of her life.
With love,
Team Z

Once again, the site couldn’t handle all of the wonderful people who love this little filly, yet today and always.
Thank you Team Z for sharing her with us in this way and she is one “we’ll never forget”.
Through the joy, smiles and tears……Love,
Maryp

As long as I live, I will never forget where I was when I heard the horrible news of you crossing Rainbow Bridge!
I cried for weeks. I can only imagine how many tears Ann shed! I know Dottie had her share of tears, too. :-(
I told your momma just this weekend when I stopped at her statue (to give her my usual kiss on her hoof) that God had a purpose by taking you so young. I told Zen that you are not alone. That your grandfather, Street Cry, was there to greet you when you crossed over. I told her that Uncle John Henry, whom adopted Zenny as his “sister” was also by your side. Tasty Temptation is your Heavenly Auntie. She loved your mother so much!!! Now she embraces you daily with love by sharing her peppermints with you.
With that being said (written), it comforts me, personally, to know you are not alone!
I will never forget the Easter morning of your birth! I was so giddy! I had a Niece! You will ALWAYS AND FOREVER be my Niece! You left a whole in our ♥ but that is where you live. For Eternity.
Dear Ann and Jerry,
Thank you for sharing your Sweet Baby Girl’s life with us on the anniversary of her birth. She reminds me so much of Zenny! I have two photos of Zenyatta with Z Princess. I had them framed and are sitting on a table where I see them every day :-)
God bless Team Z. Love always, Auntie Judy XO

I’m so sorry this posted twice! It appears at the top of page 2. I was correcting the spelling of “whole” to “hole” in my heart! It took both. Sorry!!!

Dear auntie Judy in so cal,
I can’t even begin to find the words to express how lovely this your write up is. All I can say is that you owe me for all the boxes of tissue paper I have gone through. Again, thank you so much for this. Have a Blessed evening. It is well at Z Nation.
♥Auntie Judy aka JAG So. California
Oh, my!!! Thank YOU for your kind words! I write from the heart. I type in such a hurry (as to not get caught at work) that I sometimes I make typos :-( My words are always heartfelt. No flowery thoughts or poems. Just me. Thanks, again! JAG

I apologize for this posting twice!!!!

Correction: I know that Street Cry is NOT Zenyatta’s grandfather. I was in a hurry to post. I meant Z Princess’ grandfather.

Why has such a little thing touched our hearts so? My heart is so full–sad & happy at the same time. Sad for a life lost but happy that we will have these memories to share.Thank you Ann & Jerry for sharing your beautiful Zenyatta with the world. We will never forget what you do for us & we will never forget ZPrincess. Thank you.

Her too brief life was graced with nothing but love. We are blessed to have those videos and photos that capture so perfectly all that is magical about the thoroughbred. How special it was when her baby took off running and Zenyatta ran to catch up with her. So few memories but they will last my lifetime. I planted a new flowerbed which will always be filled with butterflies and hummingbirds. I call it my Z Princess bed.

I DO wish we would be told what kind of accident extinguished this little flame!! It might help prevent a similar accident for another foal. I’ve only ever cried for 5 horses, besides mine, Secretariat, Easy Goer, Cigar, Alydar, and this little filly!! I took 2 days off work, paid a BUNDLE on eBay for tickets to the Apple Blossom when it was slated to be a match race between Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra, drove many MANY miles and cheered my favorite jockey, Mike Smith, on as Zenyatta performed her signature move to come from behind and win the race pulling away!!! Love Zenyatta and I really do appreciate her connections for allowing her fans to continue to follow her.

Zenny,
We are still heartbroken and always will be over your Princess Z. She left behind a very special legacy of love and hope and spirit in her brief life. All of the these are the traits you possess, Queen Z, and that we saw in her. I know she’s running on clouds now. Her memory will be with us always. In love we are blessed to share ‘life’, but also to stand beside each other in times of grief. Thank you, Team Z for sharing ‘all’ of Zenny’s life with us. Each day is one of joy and hope, interesting lessons, and the chance to be a part of this great online family of Zenny’s. We will always cherish the time we had to get to know Zenyatta’s spunky and bright little girl.
with much love and hope for many of God’s blessings for Zenyatta, Team Z, her care team and her fan family, Elizabeth

Dear Sweet Princess Z – You had us in your hearts from the moment of your Easter Sunday birth. Life can deal some very tough blows to the heart and soul – I can still remember the shock of this tragic news. Today’s remembrance with the photos and the videos is so very appreciated by this forever fan of all things in my world of Zenyatta. Tears flowed freely. Thank you Mrs. Moss and to all who contributed to this sweet memorial of Princess Z. She will live forever and ever in our hearts. I hope all is well with Zenyatta, Cozmic One and Ziconic.
And Coz – You were the most handsome horse on Friday, at your debut. Many of your Mom’s fans were there to support and show their love. Good effort and we will see you again. Sweet filly, I too believe you are romping in horse heaven. I’m so happy that in your short lifetime you only knew great love and kindness. Today and always a good deed in your memory. It is a fitting legacy.
Katarina
Sweet Angel you will always be remembered..love to the Queen and PrinceCoz.

What a beautiful tribute. As I began to watch the video and heard the sound of Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World, I started to sob; happy and sad, so happy to have had Z Princess in all of our lives, so sad to have lost her. That is life, isn’t it?

Feel so sorry for The Mosses recently. They had such hopes for Cozzie Friday, and now the reminder of the passing of little Z Princess. They are such a loving and generous couple and really need some good news to boost their spirits I’m sure. Tears for them.

What a loving memorial to Princess Z! She was precious and will never be forgotten. It was an incredibly sad day when she passed away for all of us. I think Deanna’s idea of doing an at of kindness for someone is a great idea. Thank you for posting this.
