New Zenyatta Apparel

Z Tote

Happy Monday!

We have lots of new apparel available today from the Zenyatta Shop, including the Call Shirt and Call Sweatshirt:

Celebrate Zenyatta’s pinnacle racing performance with the perfect sweatshirt commemorating one of the greatest Breeders’ Cup races ever run. When Zenyatta roared to the lead in deep stretch in the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Classic, defeating the boys beneath the shadows of the majestic San Gabriel mountains at Santa Anita Park, it was a moment never to be forgotten by racing fans the world over.

On the front, a determined Zenyatta with Mike Smith aboard as they surge towards the finish line to capture America’s richest horse race. But what really makes this shirt special is race announcer Trevor Denman’s complete call of the race on the back, transcribed from start to finish, culminating in the now-famous phase “This is Un-Be-lievable!” A perfect gift or souvenir for those who honor the Zenyatta’s legacy and the memory of her finest day!

Scroll down for previews of the Supreme T-Shirt, the Supreme Fleece Jacket, the Z-Shirt, the Champion Tote, and above, the Z Tote.

Enjoy!

Dear Z fans and Z dumplings,

Here is a great link looking at all of the “levels of competition at the racetrack”.
Great definitions and examples, now lets all get down to our handicapping.

A Big Hello to all Zsters:
These items are beautiful! I really like the tote bags. Thank you, Team-Z. I think a charm or pendant with Zenny in her signature pose is a wonderful idea. I hope they will consider it. Maybe as a new item for next year’s Breeders’ Cup. I really had a great time this year! It was so nice meeting so many of you Z-Dumplings.

Wow, Zenny’s little half sister, Ebby put on quite a show this past Friday. Good luck Ebby with your future races!!

Hi Linda in NJ – I guess the reply I typed for you yesterday was removed since I put my “alternate” email address in it; I have some pictures of you from the Zenyatta party that I want to send to you but am not sure now how to accomplish that (unless you try to email me at msmoops at gmail dot com…). Happy Thanksgiving!

It hasn’t been posted, but it is a premier video, so have to have a paid account

Dear Kathy R and Z fans,

Here is the latest on Americain, the ink is not been placed on the agreement yet, so that
is why the Farm is unnamed. But soon, with bated breath.

Now you can forget about Oliver, Kathy R and enjoy Americain in his retirement.

Melbourne Cup Winner Americain to Stand in KY
      By Blood-Horse Staff
      Updated: Tuesday, November 20, 2012 6:19 PM
      Posted: Tuesday, November 20, 2012 6:19 PM

Americain, winner of the 2010 Emirates Melbourne Cup (Aus-I) and recently retired from racing, will stand the Northern Hemisphere breeding season in Kentucky in 2013, according to racenet.com.au.

Americain’s part owner, Gerry Ryan, told RSN (in Australia) that a deal had been done for an unnamed farm to stand the Melbourne Cup winner, who was bred in Kentucky by Wertheimer et Frere and is by deceased Kentucky stallion Dynaformer .

“It’s a big coup for us,” Ryan said. “He’ll be going to Kentucky to a stud we will name shortly as soon as we’ve signed a few documents but the horse has already been vetted.

“The owner of the farm is a big fan of Dynaformer. He likes stayers and has 30 mares himself that are suitable for Americain.”

Six-year-old Americain, who was retired after contesting his third Melbourne Cup earlier this month, is an Australian champion stayer who earned multiple championships in France. He raced in North America, finishing third once from four starts, and was group I stakes-placed in Hong Kong.

Americian, who is out of French group II winner America (by Arazi), exited racing with a record of 11-4-4 from 34 starts and earnings of $5,780,679.

Ryan said a decision is also expected in the coming weeks where Americain will stand in Australia for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.

Sorry you folks must endure the relentless media storm, over the Oliver saga. Slap him up side his head for me and all others involved! Isn’t this the main plot of a Dick Francis novel anyway?
Tell him…the girls in this sport are taking over and can out ride him anyway! So there.Fool!!!
I am making pies and side dishes today for my meal. Going back out to play w/ the horses and take them some treats.
The zipper of my new jacket is now broken….thank you, big ole goof ball, spotted gelding. This horse loves winter jackets, grabs them w/ his mouth and will not let go!He holds you hostage, think he just wants the lovin! I just can’t get mad at him,oh well! Imagine he wants to see me in the Z Fleece.

Dear Z fans, and Z Dumplings,

Questing had a chip removed from her hind ankle, she will be back to race in 2013.
Kiran said that was not a factor in her non-racing demeanor in the Ladies Classic.
