New Zenyatta Apparel

Z Tote

Happy Monday!

We have lots of new apparel available today from the Zenyatta Shop, including the Call Shirt and Call Sweatshirt:

Celebrate Zenyatta’s pinnacle racing performance with the perfect sweatshirt commemorating one of the greatest Breeders’ Cup races ever run. When Zenyatta roared to the lead in deep stretch in the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Classic, defeating the boys beneath the shadows of the majestic San Gabriel mountains at Santa Anita Park, it was a moment never to be forgotten by racing fans the world over.

On the front, a determined Zenyatta with Mike Smith aboard as they surge towards the finish line to capture America’s richest horse race. But what really makes this shirt special is race announcer Trevor Denman’s complete call of the race on the back, transcribed from start to finish, culminating in the now-famous phase “This is Un-Be-lievable!” A perfect gift or souvenir for those who honor the Zenyatta’s legacy and the memory of her finest day!

Scroll down for previews of the Supreme T-Shirt, the Supreme Fleece Jacket, the Z-Shirt, the Champion Tote, and above, the Z Tote.

Enjoy!

Everyone can wish they owned “E” but she was bred specifically by Mr. Kronfeld to be his Broodmare after her racing career is over since “V” was sold to Coolmore
        for $10 million.

No one can or hope to every own her !!!!

Also, that is why John Sherriffs is keeping jockey’s different and groom different
than Zenny so there is no confusion. The mark of the great trainer that he is.

          November 20, 2012 at 11:49 am

Dear Sign: I’m fully aware of why Mr. Kronfeld bred Ebby. I really was joking. As to making a blanket statement of nobody can ever hope to own her – things change all the time in the racing/breeding world and who’s to say this won’t too.

Bullet Train, a half brother to two-time Cartier Award winner Frankel, will enter stud in Kentucky in 2013 at an undisclosed farm, according to California bloodstock agent Bob Feld. A 5-year-old English-bred son of Sadler’s Wells, Bullet Train served as Frankel’s pacemaker in all five of his half brother’s races this year and one race last year.
“He’s scheduled to arrive Nov. 24,”
Feld said. “The plan is to announce everything Dec. 1.”

Prior to becoming a pacemaker for one of history’s elites, Bullet Train proved solid enough to win a group stakes, capturing the 2010 Totesport.com Derby Trial (Eng-III) in his third start. He exited racing with a record of 2-1-0 from 14 starts and earnings of $177,737.

Bullet Train and Frankel not only are half brothers–being out of the multiple stakes-winning Danehill mare Kind–but are from the same sire line. Frankel is by Galileo, who is a son of Sadler’s Wells.

Both Bullet Train and Frankel raced as homebred for Juddmonte Farms’ owner Khalid Abdullah.

Keta Note; Damien Oliver verdict is in. Here is the article

    Oliver outed for 10 months
Posted by: AAP Filled in: Australian Horse Racing | 20/11/2012 at 12:15pm
A contrite Damien Oliver will spend 10 months on the sidelines after admitting to a betting offence at a hearing in Melbourne on Tuesday.
The champion jockey pleaded guilty to placing a $10,000 bet on Miss Octopussy in a race at Moonee Valley on October 1, 2010 in which he rode Europa Point.
Miss Octopussy won the race while Europa Point finished sixth.
The jockey told the hearing he placed the bet with well-known form analyst and racing media personality Mark Hunter.
He said at the time he was going through emotional turmoil after his wife had left him, taking his three children.
Oliver said he developed problems with binge drinking and described it as the “worst period of my life”.
Stewards gave Oliver an eight month disqualification to be followed by a two month suspension allowing him to return to riding trackwork.
During his disqualification, Oliver is banned from racetracks and stables.
Following the hearing, Oliver issued a statement apologising to trainers, owners and supporters.
“People must not assume that my misdeed and lack of judgment … reflects on jockeys or the industry broadly,” he said.
“I ask my fellow jockeys for whom I have the greatest respect to forgive my actions.”
He said he looked forward to resuming his career next year.
Oliver is one of Australia’s most successful jockeys and is one of only seven riders to win racing’s grand slam of the Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Golden Slipper.
He was inducted to Australia’s Racing Hall of Fame in 2009.

Dear Keta: NOT impressed with the verdict: he’ll likely be able to ride in the Melbourne Cup – it’s not a good thing for the industry – unfortunate comments were being passed while the Cup Carnival was on reflecting public perception that Oliver was not doing justice to his rides, and was continuing to bet on other horses. And now we know that Robert Smerdon (a top trainer) was involved in passing money to Oliver – the same trainer who has been heavily fined for raceday treatment of his horses. The whole thing is very smelly indeed. I’m just so disappointed that the owners let him near Americain. (And I’d like to know which stud he will stand at, please Mr Ryan?)

        handling the bet?
Yes, it was reportedly a one time event.
But, the whole thing is awfully smelly.
