Hello everyone,
It is such a gorgeous morning here in California. I am doing great!
John said I might get to do a bit of jogging today…nothing much…just some fun. He wants to keep me happy and let me stretch my legs. I had lots of visitors yesterday afternoon. Ann came out with her sisters to see me and give me a big hug. Jerry is coming to see me this morning. Lucky me!
A friend emailed Dottie and told her there is a campaign amongst my fans going on to support me in the voting for HOTY. They are writing the NTRA. This makes me feel so special. I truly appreciate all of the kindness people are showing me.
I’m also so touched that so many people really appreciate my efforts and accomplishments. I have tried hard during each of the last 3 years. I have done my very best….and it really makes me feel good that people are trying to honor me for my work and accomplishments!
Wow…here comes Mario, Steve, and John! I’m getting ready to have some fun and stretch my legs.
As I have said so many times…I am one very fortunate horse to have so many of YOU loving and supporting me!

I totally agree with Theresa! I LOVE these diary posts! I have searched Zenyatta’s name every day for so many months just looking for news of her. As articles become less frequent in he media, I will be in Zenyatta withdrawl… but for these diaries!

Definitely HOTY! Whatever your future holds, I hope it is staying in CA near your Mommy and Daddy, Mario, John, and everyone that loves you. You are loved not only because you are magnificent, but because you are a sweetheart and have made believers of people that you truly understand your surroundings. Man I am very suprised that Blame beat her but 15 lenghts back wow a miracle she got place. I am only 11 years old but I know almost everything about horseracing. Zenyatta I Love U! But Blame is going to get all the glory beacause he beat The Queen Zenyatta after she almost set a perfect record of 19 she in my heart is the best racemare ever!!!

As much as I’d love to see you run beautiful girl, I hope you get retired and that the Moss’s continue to show their love for you by NOT breeding you every year…every other or are content with 2 – 3 healthy babies and Mrs. Moss gets to toss a big ole Western saddle on you and you get to enjoy some long lovely trail rides! Thank GOD you went out healthy and on top! Love you and thank you to your owners and trainer…and groom! Grooms are so over looked! God bless them all!

I’m probably one of the few who wishes that Zenyatta would not run another year nor do I wish her to be resigned to the role of a continuous breeding broodmare. She is so much more than that! She would be so fantastic working with challenged and sick children or adults. She really has a healing presence, she could do so much good for others! I know she has but why stop now?
