2018 Zenyatta Celebration: Fans Meet Zenyatta

Winner: Allan Wiser

Last fall we held our sixth annual Zenyatta Celebration, raising over $40,000 for Retired Racehorse Project. Each winner was invited to travel with a guest to Lane’s End Farm to meet Zenyatta and receive a tour of the farm. These photos document their visits. Photography by Alys Emson.

View the complete set of photos from these visits in our 2018 Zenyatta Celebration Photo Gallery.

      Awful, just awful.
Read the other day, the rider on Vyjack felt his mis-step and quickly pulled him up. Thank goodness.

Has anyone seen or heard anything about Ziconic? How about whether or not Zenyatta will be bred and to who and when? Loved the picture of Cozmic One and Isabella. It also would appear that out Zenny is as lovely an gracious as ever and still a bit of a ham.

I’m beginning to think maybe something has happened to Ziconic. I have never heard of a horse dropping out of sight like he has. The people connected to him are known to be open and available concerning their horses, except now with Ziconic. With all the pleading for news, there has been nothing, except that he is coming back to John in a couple of weeks, and the weeks go by, and nothing happens. If nothing is wrong, where is he? What is happening to him? He deserves to be happy like Coz, and we deserve to know about him!!!!!!!!

A sad end to what was a great day’s racing at Cheltenham.Amateur riders,a long novice chase and heavy ground. It had disaster written all over it.Plenty of bans handed out for jockeys hitting tired horses.Where is their sense??Only 4 finished out of 18 and Ballyward suffered a fatal injury.RIP.Cheltenham is no place for amateurs! They were all warned before hand to take care of the horses.
