I loved seeing this! Thanks so much for posting. Winx is so wonderful — love that stretch!
Reminds me of my dear doggies when they stretch and go into their “play bow” pose.

I did a little catching up and read that Coz is 7 years old. Wow that is unbelievable. I think Zenyatta was around 7 years old when she had Coz.

Sad to think that Zenny is getting older.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

This is why we love our jumps over here despite the falls and sometimes sad days. When this happens you just burst with pride for a brave little horse Frodon and such a lovely girl Bryony Frost.I was in tears as they won the Ryanair.Congratulations to them both. The reception they got was amazing.
Fabulous win for Paisley Park in the World Hurdle. He always hits a flat spot and then whoosh! His owner Andrew has been blind since birth.Congratulations to Paisley and all his teamX

This is so awful. There is definitely a common denominator somewhere here at SA. I hope they figure out what is going on posthaste. This simply cannot continue.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening at Santa Anita (where Jerry Moss is still training/racing horses)?

Another horse died today, making it 26 fatalities since December 22nd.

    https://www.latimes.com/sports/more/la-sp-santa-anita-horse-death-20190314-story.html

Today’s L.A. Times mentions that there have been zero injuries to horses working out on Santa Anita’s training track, which they wrote was much softer that the racetrack.

Seems that this is an obvious clue to the problem … All racing fans should be contacting Gavin Newsome (Governor of Calif), Tim Ritvo (C.O.O. of the Stronach Group, Santa Anita’s owners), Rick Arthur (Equine Medical Director of the Calif. Horse Racing Board) and Jim Gagliano (Pres. & C.O.O. of The Jockey Club).

On a happier note. Happy Birthday tomorrow to the rock star handsome Texas Red! Son of Afleet Alex.

      Judy,
Hope you and all of yours are getting through this terrible winter. We had 70 degrees yesterday but tornados in the southern part of the state and 50 mph winds here. Guess we just have to hunker down and hope for spring weather soon. We did see and hear the sandhill cranes flying over on their way north on Tuesday.

I hope Ziconic is not with John at Santa Anita. So scary to think of the horses still there.

ZI is in my thoughts too and little ZELLDA as well. Very scary situation at SA. ?

          It is scary, JB.
How many of the horses are now pulling up lame? Would like to know those numbers?
Hope they get to the bottom of it. The bottom of SA track must be concrete.
          Sad, so sad.

As Dickens said ‘It was the best of times and the worst of times’Invitation Only had .to be euthanised. We cheer heroes up that famous hill and mourn those we lose but this is jump racing and we have to treasure the happy times.100’s of horses have survived this meet.Accidents can happen anywhere in the field,in the stables, just hacking not only on the racecourse.RIP Invitation Only.
