Happy Monday!
We thought it would be nice to start the week with photos from last week’s visit to Lane’s End. Ann and Jerry went to see Zenyatta and her colt with bags of carrots in tow. Both Z and her son are doing well, enjoying the crisp Kentucky fall air. Zenyatta is healthy and happy, and 12Z is growing fast!
Enjoy!

Hello everyone! ♥
Thank you for being so gracious and concerned.
Due to banging my hip coming out of the stall door in the backstretch receiving barn and taking a few awkward steps after that I was scratched from my race Saturday.
I was fine Sunday morning and able to resume training galloping 2 1/4 miles on the main track at Hollywood Park. John said my injury was like a “burn mark.” The scrape took some hair off and it’s bruised. My team iced it about five times and it’s being treated topically.
When we go to the receiving barn a man tells everyone to put their horse(s) in the stalls. When we begin to leave, we horses are brought out of our stalls in post position order, and at times we horses will get anxious from seeing the other horses leaving. In my occasion I came out of my stall “more on the muscle” than I should have been. I leaned a majority amount of weight into my hip on the edge of the door, causing the bruised scrape. Coming out of the stall door I did not want to put my hoof down, my hip was stinging just a bit from the bruise. I was walked a couple of steps but I was not moving properly. John asked the veterinarian to look at me and I was decided to be scratched.
The bruise is getting better and I am sound in health. John will look for my next race during the early weeks of the Santa Anita winter-spring meeting starting December 26th. A potential option is the $150,000 La Canada Stakes for 4-year-old fillies over 1 1/16 miles on January 20, 2013. My start on Saturday would have been used as a prep race for the La Canada. If another allowance race is offered than it is possible it may be my next start. John will be exploring every option which is available.

Hi Keta:
Thanks so much for posting. I am so relieved that Ebby is okay. This past Saturday, I rushed home to watch her race, and was shocked when TVG made the announcement that Ebby was scratched.
I am so happy to hear she is okay.

Ebby must have dictated it to John.

Epecially Horses,
TOO CUTE, He may have dictated it from her non-verbal behavior and
someone, the mystery person, managing her facebook page, paraphrased.
Very cute though.
“E” exercise rider has commented quite often, no one know
who runs “E’s” facebook, it is a mystery. They get information
from somewhere, but may not be involved at BARN 55.
Very interesting.

It is not offical and does not come from John or the barn.He is not happy about it.

Ahha! Ok I get it now….So Sign, when you wrote “Sounds just like what John said in his article ???”… that was a reference to “this isn’t original, but “lifted” from an interview John gave”.
So a bit of plagiarism going on here and even disregard of the desire of the trainer to not publish unauthorized and maybe misleading information.

Those are great pictures of Jerry and Ann Moss with Zenyatta and baby Z. They are such loving, caring horse owners. Their traveling most of the way across the United States to see their horses is real dedication and determination and I really admire that. I’ll bet Zenyatta and son loved the carrots.

Barbara Banke’s Stonestreet operation purchases a 220-acre property near Ocala, Florida that was previously owned by Vinery. The facility will officially become Stonestreet Training and Rehabilitation Center.
“Vinery with its team of skilled and seasoned horse professionals created a world class training and rehabilitation facility,” says Banke. “We are pleased to incorporate it into our breeding and training operation.”

mating of Zenny and Frankel; Black Cavier and Frankel; Goldikova and Galilieo possibly
Frankel. Oh it is sad, gestalt is all we have and then see the offspring and evaluate

Wishing all my friends on the blog a happy and joyous holiday season. Here are some redneck jokes. You might be a redneck if you have grease under your toenails. You might be a redneck if you have a bumper sticker on your coffee table. You might be a redneck if you use ranch dressing more than three times a day. You might be a redneck if your idea if a big Saturday night is drinking beer and burning trash. You might be a redneck if most of your family has appeared on COPS. Hawthorne: EHV-1 crisis appearing to stabilize
by Paulick Report Staff | 12.19.2012 | 10:18am
The past two weeks have been quiet at Hawthorne Race Course regarding any additional outbreaks of the equine herpesvirus. No horses have displayed symptoms of EHV-1 since a horse became ill and later died on Dec. 7.
The ‘quarantine clock’ remains at Dec. 10; the quarantine will be in place for 28 days following that first day.
The Daily Racing Form reports that shipping horses into Hawthorne has changed. Two weeks ago, a ban on incoming 2-year-olds was imposed, and now no new horses are being allowed on the grounds.

Sign, there is no need to be snotty to our dear GirlSaratoga. I think GS reacted quite naturally, finding the comment charming in the same way we all felt when ZenDottie spoke to us. I’m sure she had no idea that John was unhappy about that fb page. I don’t want to suppport anything that would cause John to be upset, nor would anyone else here. Now we know how he feels since Maureen told us. However, I fail to see anything “fictitious” or “not true” as you assert in the fb comment that was cited above. It seems to very closely follow the information that John himself had already made public. Of course I understand John’s concern that perhaps future entries (or perhaps past entries) might either be indiscreet or inaccurate, but that would not seem to be the case in this particular instance.
