      Dear Sheena,
Love the idea of a Kauto Rose and also the idea of a Kauto Star Legends Barn, read
that in the Racing Post. Britain really has no where special for its champion jumps racers, they all go on to second careers and depend on their second “masters” to keep them in touch by parading and such. It would be wonderful if you had somewhere like our KY horse park where they were everyday. The horse park is also home for eventing so they could be retrained for that or something else. Just love that idea for Britain. So excited for Frankie. Golden Horn belongs right up there with Frankel, so glad CC came home and did not run with that boy !!!

Shaman Ghost, a son of Ghostzapper, won the Queen’s Plate on Sunday, the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown. My favorite Danish Dynaformer was second.
The interesting thing about the race is that Frank Stronach was true to his word. Shaman Ghost ran without any lasix. And unlike a lot of owners, Stronach went down to the track, grabbed the horse’s reins and walked SG to the winner’s circle himself. SG is a nice looking horse. Ghostzapper has some beautiful offspring, like this horse and Judy The Beauty.

That Deputy Minister line just keeps on giving.
Stronach said that the horse is named Shaman for holy man and Ghost for the Holy Ghost. Frank also prayed for a win. Looks like he got an answer.
Read also that Shaman was very backward in his early races. Trainer said that he did not understand what he needed to do. Finally it clicked in. Lots of hope for Coz.

Congrats to Shaman Ghost and his connections. Poor DD.
Cute story about Mr. Stronach finding a 4 leaf clover, giving it to his grandaughter and she giving it to jockey. The jockey put the clover in his boot and won the race on SG.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow, Vicki! I have been thinking about you & pray that your health is soon 100%.

I hope that I get home from work in time to watch Coz race on the NY OTB channel. Since I don’t get any of the racing channels, this is where I watch the races. They show races from many tracks, not just the NY ones.

Coz, I hope that you now understand what you are to do in a race. Do your best & most of all, stay safe. I will be cheering for you.

I hope someone at Lane’s End has some kind of device that Mama Zenny can watch the race on too.

On this day in 2005 4 British suicide bombers blew themselves up on 3 trains and a bus in Tavistock Square.Today services will take place to commemorate 7/7 at St Paul’s and in Hyde Park.A minute’s silence will be held a 11.30am.The whole of the UK recalls that dreadful day not just Londoners.52 were mercilessly slaughtered and many suffered life-changing injuries. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected.RIP.We must NEVER let the terrorists win.Sheena

Yes, very sad day that I will never forget because I was flying back to the US from Glascow. Security was unbelievably tight at the airport, but no one said anything. I had no clue what had happened until I landed in Newark and saw the crowds around the TV screens. RIP all who were lost and condolences to their families and friends.

Z fans, google ” drf entries ” , ” belmont ” , ” 08 ” , weather and horses, i found only Ice Cutter in BH and HRN, cute google ” thoroughbred horse Chase the Love ” , Coz breeze like in video google ” youtube the boys of belmont 2015 zenyatta official ” , moving of your legs and legs of Ziconic are like moving of legs of Zenny, race will be like google ” youtube 2015 belmont oaks invitational lady eli ” , difference, fillyes can breeze race without jockeys, they well feel moving of herd and dont touch each other, boys need control from gate to end of race, Coz dont stumble in gate, after break dont cross way of horses in left side, give to herd 4 or 5 seconds to choose quick horses, dont move in crowd of horses, choose free space behind of leading horses in second row, you are big horse, in first row near left fence there is no free space to forward and to right side, in second turn keep quiet moving, see how is your all four legs, if they are light and you are not tired, glidely increase speed on home stretch, keep whip more time in left hand, use whip like in california rules, if there is long free space in front of your nose breeze with not pulled reings, like did Victor in winter training :-), keep your head on that height that you like, will be need good balance of jockey, Coz for some chance, if you feel something not well with legs even lil dont wait, glidely decrease speed to convenient, in weather may be thunderstorm, Tapiture breezed some minutes of training in thunderstorm, Coz if you hear sounds of thunderstorm keep enough far from other horses and hard fences, Coz Ziconic and Zenny will think about you in race

    July 7 Cherokee Devotional

Trumpet vines have grown so tall along the woodland path that a tall person must bend to walk beneath them. The path is not paved, not a place easy to walk. Step high over cushions of moss and protect the soles from huge acorns. Fallen sticks and uneven ground can hamper the stride-but, oh, it is beautiful.
There are dark shadows even on a sunny day. Shafts of sunlight shoot through holes in the canopy and the tangle of grapevines and woodbine dominate space. Here, the spirit is freed to be whatever age, whatever time, whatever purpose chosen for the moment. It is a time machine, a heavenly carriage, a very private sanctuary. It is a mind and spirit set free from compression and depression-a safehouse from the world.

My friends, if you took me away from this land it would be very hard for me.

ratties enjoyed themselves!!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

      Dear Sheena,

I remember that terrorist attack well. God rest the souls of the victims. Praying for the relatives and friends they left behind. Looking forward to hearing the “bobs” talking. I’ll have to go and compare Celyn looks to Mama. Zoe was beautiful in her sunshine dress yesterday, but she did 2 paws up…wasn’t supposed to do that in her condition. I hope she doesn’t have a setback. She’s doing a couple of light visits today so hopefully all is well with her. Poor Katy…she is so tiny and I worry about her. She certainly couldn’t be getting better care anywhere. Dogs swimming…a real joy! Boo and Buddy probably will be able to accomplish their goal. Male dogs seem to have an unending supply! I did see the video of that puppy enjoying the AC. So sweet! I loved the video segment of Joey. Such fabulous tennis. Enjoy! Poor Kauto. Extremely upsetting. As you say, we will never know and have to remember to celebrate their lives. I found out it was World Kiss after the fact, too! The ratties are all kissed out today! Have a lovely Tuesday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

What a great day to be alive! I do believe that every single person on this site is young at heart and the love of the horses keeps us that way. Yes, sometimes there is sadness but the gladness wraps around us like a warm blanket. Reading about Mike Repole and his love for Uncle Mo made me so happy. Everybody at the library is waiting for Coz to run again. There is one piece of news I haven’t shared because of my “pet predicaments”. I do have another dog. Her name is Missy and she shares so many of White Lightning’s ways. She too loves picking blueberries. She sits right under every bush I’m working on, sleeps right next to my bed, loves cats, barks like a pit bull and loves bananas. Are small pieces of banana bad for dogs? Can’t wait to see any new photos of Zenny.

To all of the ZENTASTICS Team Members – I posted this a few days ago, but I think that a lot of people were busy with the holiday and didn’t see it. Sue asked me to pass along the bad news that the BC Fantasy Handicapping Contest is no more :-( When she inquired, she was directed to the other contest the BC is running that has a prize each week and requires predicting the order of finish of EACH of the horses in the given race. We are both very disappointed, and I wanted to provide some contact information in case the rest of you want to join us in voicing our disappointment:
    stefanie@breederscup.com and
    peter@breederscup.com

I actually got a reply from Peter who said that they would think about bringing the contest back next year so it might be helpful if he hears from some of our other team members! There might be a way that we can just do the contest ourselves so stay tuned.
