It’s April 1, and that means Zenyatta and Ziconic both have a reason to celebrate!
Queen Z turns 16 today, and she received a special gift from Ziconic, Linda, and George at Templeton Farms.
Ziconic is now seven years old, and we wish him the happiest birthday!
Lane’s End has been hosting live farm tours for fans around the world who are staying safe inside their homes. Zenyatta will make an appearance on today’s tour with Bill Farish at 12:30 pm ET. He’ll start at the stallion barn before visiting the birthday girl. Watch on Facebook Live or visithorsecountry.com.

Yes, it will be interesting to see what the investigation reveals.
I see that photo of Maximum Security and jockey after the win, and all I can think is, poor Max — he didn’t deserve the awful mess that humans created. He did his best, and he is still a noble being, IMO. My most desired wish is that they can remove the cloud over his record and throw the humans in the clink.

I enjoyed the Claiborne tour. The gravestones in the cemetery is like a who’s who in horse racing. So many mothers and grandmothers of great champs. And I saw the grave of Easy Goer, gone too soon son of my beloved Alydar. Also, many years ago I visited with him there on the farm.
Hope all of you saw the tour and enjoyed it.

Happy Friday everyone! Snow is coming down here in NE Ohio (arrrrrghh). We had a surprise batch when we woke up yesterday morning, but they’ve been predicting this round all week. right now it looks more like a rain/snow mix, but I suspect that will change shortly. Good thing there is nowhere to to, I guess. Looking forward to the Apple Blossom at Oaklawn this weekend. I believe that NBC sports is teaming up with TVG again.
So – as will be clear from the title, Hovey remains misunderstood and in hot water with his mum. We knew there would be an “alternate interpretation” of the facts from what had been posted earlier on his Facebook page. I guess it’s comforting to see that things are “business as usual” for our favorite British comic horse.

Hang in there. This week the weather has been awful. Here in Indy no snow but lots of wind, rain, cold and no sunlight whatsoever! There is hope. Spring has gotta get here. And some nice racing on TV this weekend.
Saw you on the Mill Ridge video. I just love those two guys and the way they are with the mares and foals. You can just tell that they spend time with them and neither mother nor foal are afraid. Would love to drive the Brown Car. I sure hope The Pistol ends up a champ. It will be fun to follow his career.

Shirley is certainly right about the Mill Ridge tours!! There we were, right out there in the paddocks with foals so close it almost felt like you were petting them. Tried to say hi to you several times, Shirley, but you didn’t answer back. I got there a little late, but the tour guy was wonderful. Does anyone know who he was? Price something. My nephew always takes the family out for dinner on our birthdays. Today he and my little niece brought me take out from one of my favorite restaurants.
