What a time it was four years ago. Aunties and Uncles were pacing and concocting all manner of ways to sneak in to see our Queen, Zenyatta’s (that’s Mom to you) first born royal baby. The horse racing world was giddy after the announcement of your arrival.
Now you’re a grown up lad looking so much like your Mom and hopefully the growing pangs are over and you will be finding success on the race track, too.

Many watch the heavens to see planes and satellites and things humans have set in orbit. I look for stars and planets and sometimes shooting stars. I see the moon and sun and feel their presence even when there are clouds. As the poet said, “…split the sky in two and let the face of God shine through.”
Recently the northern lights, the aurora borealis, rouged the sky with rosy shades. It reminded me of childhood when it had snowed and the northern lights tinted the snow pink-a fairyland that only a child could appreciate to the fullest. We have seen meteorites and comets, and we are promised we’ll see more if we only look up. The promise will be fulfilled.
I am an old woman now…I seem to see our Indian village.
