    November 2 Cherokee Devotional

    Spirit, mind, and body-all need peace and quiet. We need a quiet place like a creek bank in summer when fishing is good and bait plentiful. The mind and spirit need to go fishing in the inner world of thought and ideas. When the body is quiet, the mind can pull in some big ones, but do be careful. Good fish and not-so-good fish can come out of the same pool. Rely on the spirit to guide you to the good-and to help you distinguish between the good and the bad. Throw the bad ones-bad ideas, bad words, bad beliefs-away. But the good ones are keepers. Savor them.

    Dear Kathy.Back to normal today late again!Oh,we all need peace and quiet at times.So sad to hear 2 police officers have been killed in Iowa I think and an officer has been stabbed over here but not life threatening.A cold night but sunny now had the heating on last night.I could see from Marshall’s post that the cubs had won so I knew Zoe would be happy!I think they are playing again today??Don’t they ever rest?The Euros are getting used to SA and Found will be out of quarantine tomorrow.Aidan has given young Joe some lovely 3yr olds and he is hoping to win the JCB at the festival next year.Chromie looks fabulous.
    Wimbley went back to the bullies house and got eben more candy!You have to stick up for your bruvver even if he is your next President.I love their cober photo.Chipper has the squirrels campaigning for him.We are getting a lot of election news of here.It seems to have been going on forever!One of Rupert’s friends Huw Shakeshaft is going to the inauguration next January.He is in DC just now says the city is too liberal for him.He is friendly with Tory MP Nigel Evans who was the deputy speaker until the sexual abuse case brought against him.The police went a bit crazy after the Jimmy Savile affair.It’s a long story but the case collapsed.Nigel will be at the ceremony too.I am waiting a password before I can get on the Dyfi online shop.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.Have you seen the video of a cat with dressage moves?It’s doing the rounds on FB.

    Freddy Tylicki remains in a stable condition in hospital after his horrific fall at Kempton.Thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.
    The connections of Kingsgate Native have called time on the 11year old ‘s career.Bought by David and Patricia Thompson as a stallion prospect for Cheveley Park stud he suffered from fertility problems and returned to racing.He will now live at the British Racing School at Newmarket and get to meet his adoring public.Happy daysX

    Yes, that was horrible news about the two police officers. Ambushed in their patrol cars. The hope is alive for Zoe. For her sake I hope the Cubs win. Yes, there is a game tonight. I hope all the horses competing in the Breeder’s Cup are doing well. Best wishes to Joe’s 3 yr olds. Chromie does look fabulous. Have loved hm from the start. Good for Wimbley and his candy! Smart Chipper getting help from the squirrels. The election is all we hear about. I’m sick to death of it. Just want it to be over!!! Good luck to Mr. Shakeshaft and Nigel going to the Inauguration.     Thank you for the cute Halloween photos of decorations and treats, for and of, Zenyatta. She is soooo cute. I miss seeing her race. I will never forget her dancing prance as she prepares for her races and goes to the track. I have been watching TVG this week as its showing past Breeder’s Cups. I can’t get enough of her 2009 race.     The World Series just ended. The Cubs pulled it off, 8 to 7!! There was a rain delay and an extra inning since Cleveland tied the game in the 8th inning. It was exciting!

    After 108 years, the Chicago Cubs Win the World Series!!!! ⚾️
    Lots of credit to the Cleveland Indians; they are a great team, too.

    It’s now 2 AM EDT and I am off to bed.

    Can I convince you of your great importance? You are the captain of your personal ship, the guide to your greatest dream. See yourself the way you want to be. See yourself as a giver and a receiver. Look for ways to be wiser and not sorry. Find the path to happiness that is your spirit. Too few have heard their own praises lauded. No one thinks to tell you how much you mean to them. Remember, you have to be kind to yourself so that you can be kind to others. If you have to go back to childhood to recall being loved, do so. Think how wonderful it was to share in something called love and kindness. It it was not there, then put it there in your heart. Never tell yourself you are not worthy, because you are more worthy than you will ever know. No one was put on this earth by accident, but for a purpose. Find that purpose and be who you want to be.

    Dear Kathy.I was so excited for Zoe when I heard the news this morning. Miss Diane nearly had a heart attack!The high court has ruled parliament must vote on triggering article 50(and ask Larry too.The government are appealing to the Supreme court.If Parliament are allowed to vote what ever happened to the will of the people?There will be a constitutional crisis if parliament were to vote to remain in the EU and you think you have problems.The remainers always thought we who voted out were the old and the unwashed!

      You can relax from worry about constitutional crises. The High Court is right. Referenda have no force of law in a parliamentary democracy and are not binding on Parliament. They are like opinion polls. Only Parliament duly elected can pronounce on the laws and foreign policy of the UK. If folks don’t like what Parliament does, they can always vote the MPS out at the next election. That’s how your system of government has worked and worked well since the rise of universal suffrage from the 19th century. Concentrate instead on the horses.

    So cute! Loved the picture of her and John Shirrefs with the article about life after Zenyatta. She just looked beautiful. I think it was from her appearance when she arrived in Kentucky in the wee hours for her retirement. Love everything about her. Excited about Gormley and his chances in the Breeder’s Cup.
