    by Jacobson/Drawing Away in a 2-way shake.
    By my count, Be Bullish has now been claimed 10 times for a total of $411K.
    This is 3rd time Jacobson has claimed him (for total of $95K).

    Can’t wait until Santa Anita resumes. Thinking about HOY. Do you suppose voters will hold it against Untapable because of her trainer? I know Simon Bray is a voter but I doubt he would vote for the filly anyway.

    Judy B; I always am thinking of you and Charlie and how things are going since Dubia’s surmise. Still so sad as I think of my love Sir who has been gone just over two months now.

    Zenyatta; I never had to work and help take care of you, but feel I know you and love you. You are our special race horse that only comes along so very very seldom. To me, you are my once-in-a-lifetime race horse; no matter what comes in the future.

    December 11 Cherokee Devotional

    Why are we willing to settle for less than what we can have? Why do we consent to live on the fringes of other people’s lives, standing on the outside looking in with longing eyes? We are not meant to be fringe people, starving when there is a feast prepared for us and waiting. It is like owning a mansion and living in a closet, catching the crumbs when we should be sitting at the table. A few moments spent on the edge of life is sometimes thought to be worth the hollow times. But we are more apt to be lonely, u hi so di, the Cherokee calls it, peering inside than having an expanded view of the whole outside. There is more pain in imagining what other people are doing than in looking at our own potential and going toward it. Fringe people have tremendous capacities for living-and with a little evaluation and change they can use them all.

    There was a time when I had a choice.

    Dear Kathy.Another great devotional!Poor Zoe is having trouble with FB again,she looks so sad.She looks adorable in her Christmas dress,she’s got a clever mommy!I loved the story from Look North about Benjy the goat,pity he has to grow up really!
    Boo is expecting a storm in San Francisco says gales and rain here tonight and Hovis may even have the white stuff in Lincolnshire!
    William Hill are taking bets as to whether Moose will start,be pulled up or even get over the 1st hurdle!Kauto’s statue has been finished ready for the boxing day unveiling.

    Dear Sheena,

    Poor little Zoe…she is so precious I never want to see her upset. Her dress is beautiful! turns our her mommy teaches a class on making dresses for your dog. Is there anything Zoe’s mom can’t do??? Benjy the goat is just the cutest little baby. So adorable. Yes, the rain has started in the Bay area. We’re supposed to get rain in Southern CA tonight. I hope Hovis stays cozy and toasty in Lincolnshire! Everyone will be sitting on the edge of their seat when Moose starts. Can’t wait. Stay safe, Moose! Would love to see Kauto’s statue in person. Will have to rely on the internet coverage. It is very sad to see Marty’s pics and to realize he’s not here with us. Joey and Marty…what a lovely thought, Sheena. Fingers crossed that Dolly is okay.     Catching Up with Wise Dan

    Anne recently stopped by the Charlie and Amy LoPresti barn at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky, to see Wise Dan.
    The two-time Horse of the Year was his usual self, full of energy, watching the shedrow activities and looking to nip anyone who got close enough.

    Wise Dan Recovering Well as Season Ends

    On a cold December morning at Keeneland, two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan stood near the front of his stall keeping a sharp eye on a group of yearlings as they trotted past.
    The youngsters were newly arrived from trainer Charlie LoPresti’s nearby Forest Lane Farm and the 7-year-old champ viewed their occasional spooks and squeals with pricked ears and an air of experienced superiority. You’d never see him throwing such hijinks, no sir. Not any more, at least.
    Six Eclipse Awards, two victories in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (gr. IT), multiple record-setting grade I victories, four wins from as many starts in 2014, and a comeback from colic surgery this May have settled the Wiseman’s Ferry gelding from his firecracker days. But don’t confuse that mellow nature with loss of zeal. Wise Dan still gives his handlers a feisty bit of feel-good sass now and then, especially when he hasn’t raced
    in a while.
    Recovering from a minor non-displaced fracture at the bottom of the cannon bone of his right front fetlock, Morton Fink’s homebred runner has been powering along down the shedrow. He tack-walks every day under regular exercise rider Damien Rock, and although his usual season vacation is about to begin, LoPresti fully expects him to campaign in 2015.
