He keeps getting better and better. Maybe stretching him to a mile and a quarter would be good? He definitely seems to be a distance horse like his mom.

But he’s definitely got his head in the game better than big brother Coz

Unfortunately, finding a mile and a quarter race on dirt at the MSW level is almost impossible. Finding one at any level is difficult.

Like a good wine, he’s bound to improve with age! Each race adds to his knowledge base & I have no doubt that he will be in the winner’s circle sooner than later. Stay healthy & happy, beautiful boy! You are making your momma & all of us proud. CJ

Thank you Team Z for posting these great pix of our boy, Ziconic! He sure looks gorgeous and on his toes. I especially like the photo of him looking at the camera — the ID stop. However, he is stunning in all of them. I agree with others that he will make it to the winner’s circle before long. We are so proud of you, Zi — stay healthy and keep up the good work!

    Great photos, Cynthia Holt!

    Hugs and Love

He is beautiful and I love seeing him with Mario. Nice closing kick there for him too!!! I thought he got out of the gate just fine :))) He’s coming along great. I think it’s amazing both of her colts got to the races. Many don’t get that far.

Thank you so very, very much Team Z. He is beautiful, and so seems like he is learning his job. Love watching him run in his mom’s style. Can’t wait for that first win. Then he will get it, if the crowds are applauding him coming in 3rd, he will love the reaction to the win. :-)

He will be a great race horse just need to get victor off of him. He held him back to and ran to late with him. He doesn’t have giant strides like his mom but he sure is fast.

I assume it’s to make sure that the shoes he is wearing are permitted by the rules. Tracks specify which shoes are legal and which are not. They regulate things like toe grabs and other traction devices of racing plates.

WOW!! What gorgeous pictures! Look out world here he comes!! Besides running in the same style as his mama, it was really cool to see him in a previous post standing in front of his mama’s statue because it looked for all the world like he was practicing some of mama’s dance steps. Wouldn’t that be cool! He also seems to have the pose for the camera down pat also. Hopefully, we’ll see that same pose in the winner’s circle before too long. Be Patient! Great Things can sometimes take a bit.

Very handsome colt. He looks like he wants more distance. He ran out of ground in this race.

I thought he was startled in the gate by a bird. What happened? Finishing third after that is very good.

That supposedly happend in his second race when he finished 5th. I find it very hard to believe that a mere bird would have startled him amid all of the clamour at the starting gate.

i live in Switzerland / Europe and i stayed up all night just to see Ziconic run. And Wow did he run, just like his Mama, deadlast by 2 lenghts at first but boy did he charge his tubro and BAM 3rd (great Job Victor). Soon he will be a winnier like Zeni! I am a huge huge Fan of Zenyatta and the Moss Family. How they treat their horses in this hard racing world is just heartwarming. You really love your horses, they mean the world to you, everyone can see that. And what touched me also was that Mario was leading his beloved Zeni’s Baby, calmed him down and gave him a secure feeling, he worked his Mario Magic.

Just made be so happy! Thank you for sharing!!
