Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Throughout the visits with MY TEAM during the last few weeks, I enjoyed several opportunities to have very, very intimate conversations with MY PAL, Dottie! As you know, she and I speak quite often and constantly work together on several projects. At this particular moment, we are reviewing some exciting plans of things WE anticipate doing in the future. I hope all of these ideas materialize…as they will be SO MUCH FUN!
I must say….I loved the comments many of you made yesterday in the Diary Responses as to what my NEW CAREER choices could be! Several of you are right on target! YOU know ME very well! YOU GET ME! YOU truly know what would be the best way for ME, at this point in my life, to successfully apply my skills and talent towards MY 2nd CAREER! I loved reading ALL of your comments and thoughts on this topic!
Here are some of the options YOU, my dear friends, suggested:
Artist, Spokesmare, Dancing Queen, Entertain Visitors, Model, Actor, Ambassadress for our Sport, being a MOM, tester for Guinness, teacher to both horses and human, inspirational speaker, and philanthropist!
You are ALL TOO CUTE….for thinking about ME in such a fabulous light!
Hooves Crossed!
We will know more tomorrow. I promise!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Especially my 91,115 Facebook Friends….WOW!)

A donation in his name to the ASPCA, and organization
That takes care of all animals.

@The Kennedys in San Diego: Wouldn’t that be great if Zenny played the part of Zenyatta in a movie!!!! How cool would that be!!!!!
Kathy in Studio City
Hi Z, Since a lot of your fans are also dog people — thought I would post a pic of my dog Poesy’s sister — who is named after you. She is quite pretty and is being bred this year also. Their brother Bronco has been vying for top winning dog in their breed – he was the first Grand Champion in our breed. We live in LA and came to a lot of your races.
Miss you alot!

Dottie and you, nose to nose, you were really thinking!! (love the picture) I would love to rub noses with you. I am curious to know what you’re plans are for the future. My plan hopefully right now is to get down to Kentucky with my friend and see many stallions at various farms especially at Lane’s End where AP is and YOU. I’ll be blowing kisses your way. It breaks my heart that I will not see you. Old Friends, Keeneland and perhaps BC would be awesome depending on our time frame. My problem right now is because of esophaitis caused by acid reflux, I need to raise the head of the bed with blocks of wood. I’ll have to do that at a motel!!Z, I am limited as to what I can eat, but at least I can eat carrots and apples like you do but no peppermints . I’ll bring some for you and your friends.
love you with 2 kisses on your soft nose, one for baby z

Dear Zenny
Your photo with Dottie is so very special. Sounds
Like you are getting organized with all of your many
Careers/hats. Not sure how you are going to
Juggle career and Mommyhood. Shooing away
That little foal is going to be hard. Maybe you and
TT can “baby sit” for each other as she gets her hair
And nails done, too. You have so many special human
Relationships. Sweet Dreams. XXXXOOO

@Susan in TN – What fantastic news. I literally was jumping for joy!!!! I know how worried you have been about the outlook for our dear little Chester and now you have given him a miracle. You have had many trials in your life, yet you never cease to amaze me with your optimistic spirit. You and wonderful Sharon Call are providing two old souls love and diginity for the twilight of their lives. What you give, I am sure the boys will return to you ten fold. Amazing!!!!!
@Abigail in Montreal – My dearest Abigail. I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Jericho. What a blessing that you were able to cradle him in your arms as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The challenges he faced in life must have made the bond between you even deeper. The impact he had on others memorable for all. I thought about the beautiful picture of Jericho that you once posted on the vault. Even though I had not seen it for some time, I was so moved by it that I could clearly see it in my minds eye while reading your post. It was remarkable for it’s simplicity yet spoke volumes. I looked at that picture again tonight with a few tears in my eyes. I hope the image of Your Host is once again with you, but now joined by Jericho. May they both give you the strength to heal. Love, Dawn

@Barbara Wood, I know I am late, but I still will send to Valley rescue.
@Laura, thanks for Valley’s link; there was an address posted, so I’m mailing a check. I’m just not comfortable with giving out info on the internet or using paypal etc. I’m an old fashioned gal-or just old gal, whichever!

love you Zenyatta; Goodnight!! kisses

Congratulations on adopting those two geriatric
Guys. Geriatric horses are very special, we had
One older lesson horse and he found company
In a champion hunter jumper from a well know
Rider in this part of the US. They were about 23
And 28 and they loved each others company. It
Was a very special relationship. Chopper and Chester
Are so very lucky two have their new owners. So
Glad that they are becoming friends.

Wow Z – this site becomes more special every day! You just bring out the best in everyone around you. These are the most beautiful posts to each other. You look so beautiful and your family is precious. Cannot wait to see this baby! You are so nurturing with your family – the way that you touch them and look at them. I too cry when I look at you many times – just the joy you bring to me. Thank you again to you and to your family for sharing……………I so look forward to hearing about you and seeing you.

What you do best is inspire! Just be your wonderful self and let us know what you are doing as you progress through your life. There are always tough times ahead. You have always come from behind and WON – if Blame hadn’t been hiding on the rail and the lights hadn’t been so – you would have won. You WON in my heart.

Dear Z Fans:
Just want to warn you there is a photo toward the end of Barbara L’s piece where a horse and rider are down in a Steeplechase race. They both got up and walked off the track, but it is an upsetting photo. Thankfully they were OK. Hugs, JB

@Terry Crow – Love the joke about the redneck who packed his lunch! And you made me think about hay bales, as I’m having nothing but car trouble this week — my old wagon would’ve held 4, but there they’d sit, with the car dying. I’m deciding now between a used 3-bailer, and a less expensive 2 bailer. Cars on the brain, for now.

@Kathy in Studio City – Thanks for the Zenyatta-dog link, that’s a very pretty dog!

Actually, the artist idea isn’t so far-fetched as there are many talented animal artists out there, including a horse named Cholla, who I believe is ranked 4th in the world of animal artists! There are also elephants who paint, chimps, dogs, cats and even a turtle (although the turtle is now retired after painting over 800 paintings – no kidding). Cholla’s owner gave him a paintbrush and easel after she saw how enthralled he was when she painted the fence in the pasture and she says that he loves to paint!
Why not let Zenyatta paint and see how she does? Even if she isn’t that talented as an artist, people will want to buy her art just because of who she is!!!
Snoprinz
Zenny, as for your second career you can be all of the above-mentioned options. You’re such an intelligent and talented mare.

Zenny and Dottie, how utterly sweet! Love the TOO CUTE photo! Take care!
@Susan in TN and Sharon Call: YAY! What wonderful news about Chester and Chopper! All the Best to our angel friends, including human, equine and all others, too!
@Melinda Kaczur: You are not crazy; the feelings about “Z” are perfectly normal! Welcome to Zenyatta Land!
@Abigail in Montreal: Sincere thoughts and prayers go out to you and your son in the loss of your beloved Jericho. It always comes too soon, and it never is easy. Treasure your memories, and take care! Hugs!
@Barbara Wood: Hope the rain will find your area very soon! Would love to share what we have gotten with you!

Thanks so much for the Jewish prayer for the
New Year. I have a number of Jewish friends
And patients who I have learned tid bits from,
But your prayer provided such complete information.
The Jewish faith is based in it’s culture so very
Special.

That steeplechase photo was something.
It so amazing when horse and rider wipe out
And get up. Happens a lot in cross country
Eventing. Tonight watched jumpers, so amazing
Horse finishes kicks up both front legs and then
Bucks, while rider sits in the saddle without
Any movement, such great balance!!!!

@Trina Nagele: Thanks so much for the great poem in Diary Post #344! Loved it!
@Phyllis Horn: So sorry for the loss of your wonderful Arabian mare. Hold fast to the many sweet memories — she will be with you always. Hugs to you!
To All: Goodnight and pleasant dreams!

Dear Signofthetimes:
Did you see the wonderful photos on BL’s Blog of Shack, Gio Ponti, Mo and Stay Thirsty. Stay Thirsty has the most beautiful face. All the horses are beautiful, but I especially love the one of Stay Thirsty. Hugs, JB

Dear Z,
Goodnight and Sweet Baby Dreams. Love you, Judy and Russ

@Zenny: Many human moms have careers too. You can raise a baby or two or three over time, and yet be an ambassador for the breed, the sport, the welfare of all horses, and of humans in need. You can tour for charity! Can’t wait to read what you and Team Z are planning.

@Abigail in Montreal—You and your beloved Jericho (“the man in your life,” as you have said) had a specially close bond, and his passing must needs be a devastating blow. I wish you had been granted more years together. In the eleven years you had, he lived life to the fullest and inspired many others to do the same, never letting a “handicap” dim his joy. My heart goes out to you at this time of painful loss. Jericho will wait for you at the Rainbow Bridge.

@judy berube – Thanks for the link to Barbara Livingston’s new blog. I especially liked her tribute to her mom. And I never tire of seeing her amazing shots, strange horse faces, personalities, and the clarity of mundane things. Also liked the ‘Look of Eagles’ from Havre de Grace.
