Her head is quite regal with a beautiful neck. Her sire has the same features including the star on the forehead. He seems to have the ability to stamp his progeny in his own image. She appears to be a big girl too, like her mother. She might be 140 or 150 pounds. Seems to be self assured too.

Is there going to be any announcement of the filly’s name? I suggest “Isn’t She Lovely”. That is the title of the article on the Paulick Report reporting her birth. That just sums it up!

It looks like she has those little black speckles (forget what they are called) on the coronet band of her left front hoof. ? She looks a bit feisty. A better nickname than Princess for her might be Diva. Love her ears. Love the one where she’s watching Zenyatta graze, “Watcha doin’, Mom?”

I read on another website that Jerry Moss said they probably would not breed Zenyatta again this year due to a late foaling in May and they’ll breed her next year. I’m so thankful that the Mosses aren’t in this for the money and are looking out for Zenyatta’s health instead. I don’t think it would hurt her at all but the foal would not be born until June of next year. I say they rest her until January or February of 2018 and breed her then.

Thanks a million for these photos! Alys, you are a truly talented artist with the camera. These are just the best pictures. Mama Z looks so content and gorgeous, and Z17 is simply stunning — such a beautiful little girl! I love her red color and hope it stays, but regardless, she is a peach! She is her own self and seems full of spirit.
I am so excited! We have a very dismal day here, cloudy and gray with occasional showers. This entry just brightened the day as though the sun came out.
Again, thanks so much for allowing us to share these exquisite beings with you. They are so loved and treasured by all of us, too.
