Z's Diary

Diary Post #452

NO BABY YET! Photo by John Shirreffs

Happy Wednesday Dear Friends,

I have heard that everyone all over the country is PACING, PACING, PACING waiting to hear the news. As of this morning….I have not foaled. I’m not quite sure when it will happen. This is such a new experience for ME!

My dear pals at BARN 55…Mario, Steve, Michelle…and ALL of the others are anxiously waiting for the updates.

I must graciously say…so are YOU. I am extremely proud to announce that we have now passed the 100,000 mark in Face Book Fans. This is truly quite an accomplishment…and I want to THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! This number has more than doubled since I retired from racing and arrived at Lane’s End Farm. We have all come a long way together and have been blessed to share quite a fabulous and amazing journey. Again…THANK YOU!

As for my physical well-being….this morning’s reports are that I am doing great! I guess you could say I am taking my own sweet time to foal. You know ME…I have a tendency to keep people in suspense…on the edge of their seats…waiting to see what happens. That was definitely my racing style…and I gather it is carrying over to my new career in becoming a MOM!

I am happy, healthy, looking quite good (Blush, Blush…if I say so myself)…surrounded by people who adore ME. I genuinely feel all of the LOVE you all have for ME.

Jerry with Z. Photo by Ann.

I am SO FORTUNATE!

I’ll keep you posted. Relax and have a FUN DAY! I know I will!

With Love,
Hugs to All~(All 100,000 plus of YOU! This is TOO CUTE!)
Z

Sierra, yes Tiznow is a large fellow. I think he and Zenyatta would have a late bloomer, but what a racehorse when their colt/filly made it to the track. Those two seem to have that quality which cannot be explained. Very intelligent horses that understand their trainers.

Zenny, can’t believe I’ve been up since 4:30 (I’ve got to get a life) and am joining the rest of these crazies on your diary! We are putty in your hoofs, kneeling at the altar pleading for you to GIVE UP THE KID. Ha, Ha. just kidding, I’m a little loopy as I’ve been drinking that caffeine again even though I promised to cut down on the stuff. Well, just wanted to let you know I’M BAAACK!!

Love you big girl, nutball Auntie Sue

You just love all this attention, don’t you big girl!!! LOL Love YOU very much!! XOXO

I do believe you should consider a couple of the baby names listed below for your 1st foal:

    PATIENCE
    LETZ WAIT AWHILE
    ALL EYEZ ON ME
    WATCH ZEN WAIT
    Z FINAL STRETCH

Well, Queen Z, most precious moma to be, you’ve got us all on pins and needles, pacing and slogging coffee, chilling Guinesses at all hours of the day and night, and otherwise behaving quite foolishly. How delightful and delighted we all are anticipating the arrival of Baby Z. I hope you have had a good night’s rest – or a foal – this past evening. If not, we will be with you in heart and soul until you do. Relax and stay safe. Toss a kiss to Tasty and tell her the same.

@Trina: Marathon poetry, a new art form! You are a phenonenon, getting better every day – or every few hours for that matter. I’m in awe.

@ the rest of you wee hours posters: Unbelievable and completely hilarious!! Take a quick nap, pace yourselves, reserve some exuberance for joy on the horizon.

Good morning Zenny, Hope you had a good night after your mud bath yesterday. Did Tasty stand watch over you as you were rolling. No news that Vic can find so we must face another day of waiting, perhaps you will do it differently and foal during the daylight hours. Enjoy your day with Tasty and your family.

Sweet Zenny, I have been up since 4:00 checking and checking for any news. I am so nervous and excited for the arrival of the Royal Baby, still thinking pink with two back white socks and a beautiful blaze. Prayers all around and pure white light for strength, protection and courage. Love, love, and more love. Hugs, peppermint kisses, nose chucks, and nuzzles, h +++

PACE PACE PACE. Does anyone know what time he office opens? or does anyone have the foaling barn number? It’s supposed to rain all day in Central Ky today, I bet Queen Zen will hold off yet another day and wait until there is GLORIOUS sunshine for her baby to make it’s first steps out in the world. HOW CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to PACE, PACE, PACE… I’ve noticed there has been no word or response to how Tasty is doing and how she is handling Zens’s big day that is approaching???

    Good morning Zenny,
Well, here we are at another day (but one day closer to the 9th wink, wink – although Auntie Judy seems willing to take the 8th as a “close second choice”). Some of your friends out there in “the west” are starting to sound a little frayed around the edges :-). Please ask Team Z for some Twitter updates sometime soon. Everyone should be up in Kentucky (well, unless . . . . . .). Have a good day, dear horse.

One friend of mine has a daughter who was pregnant. Due date came and went and my friend said “I dont think she is really pregnant, she is just FAT!

Another friend fell off a horse yesterday. Scared her to death, thought she was going to get trampled to death. Fortunately the Walmart greeter came over and turned off the mechanical pony!

Just because we are pacing does not mean that our girl is going to throw a baby until she gets good and ready. Just like on the track Z did it her way and it looks like she is going to do it her way now. Aunties and Uncles will just have to be patient although I know that it is killing us to want to know about her foal but it will be on Z’s terms alone so patience is the word of the day.
